In the Shadow Broker dossiers there is a letter from a Cynthia Barris to Davind Anderson. Does anyone know who this Cynthia Barris is? Could it be his wife?

I always wondered if that were his sister or something, seeing as the surnames don't match up. Regardless, whoever she is, I hope we hear more about her, just like I hope we hear more about Solana Vakarian.

Yup. Ex-wife. She's mentioned in the prologue of Revelation, and then the main plot mentions their divorce.
The suggestion he has kids is stupid though, if you ask me. You'd have thought he'd have thought about them while he was whining about the divorce, or mentioned them to Kahlee or Shepard at least once during Revelation, Retribution or either of the games.

I don't think it's supposed to be his kid, just that he's stayed friends with his ex and knows her son (with her new husband), who kind of idolizes him. I.e., it's basically the life he never managed to have.

IIRC, in the first book when it mentions the divorce it specifically points out that their divorce lawyer is glad that they have no kids so custody wouldn't be an issue(been a while since I've read it though). So it's not his kid, though he does seem to get along with him regardless.
