there is so much wrong with that novel, I don't even know where to begin.

I seriously hope that that excerpt is somehow somebody trolling us. It is a very disappointing read, and a badly written one at that.

 This was seriously awful. First the main character 'grew out' of their autism, which is not only completely untrue but ridiculously offensive because it really feels like the writer just didn't want to write about a mentally disabled person. And then he took the ONLY canon gay man in the series and made him straight. 
This on top of over a dozen inaccuracies in the sample text alone is not only ridiculous, it's borderline shameful. Who the heck signed off on this? Who approved this? Do you guys even bother to have anyone who's PLAYED the games write this? I can think of 10 or more fanfiction writers who would've lopped off their foot to write a book for the series, and instead we got a messy and gross pile of text.

I want to be mad, but I'm just straight up embarrassed for you guys right now.

That was the worst, most goddawful thing I have ever read. You all fail at life, and are the sorriest excuse for a company I have ever seen. Jesus christ, thank you for completely killing any anticipation I may have had for Mass Effect 3. If the writing for that game is anything like this book, it is going to crash and burn.

Does anyone know why Drew Karpyshyn couldn't write Deception? I mean I was actually looking forward to this one, until I read this... Who is this writer? Was Mac Walters unavailable as well? Bioware I love you guys, but what were you thinking?

i should have read the excerpt. i got the ebook this morning and just read the first few pages....oh dear....Kai Leng on the Batarian homeworld? seriously? Are we talking about the same Batarian homeworld here that is in isolation from basically the rest of the galaxy ever since they shut down their embassy on the Citadel?

exactly it is his writing style if anyone has read halo: The flood his style is ruining a series. It was like he took the halo script printed it on paper. It follows the gameplay exactly run shoot... shoot again run. Oh god we need to stock pile on weapons (scene of that.) master chief shooting again and again and again with no character development besides head shots.

I am horrified about this book I want bioware to recall it!! I do not want a contradiction in the lore!

Bioware, you are known for brilliant story telling. I know this wasn't made directly by you but this was supposed to be official and canon. How could you not check it!? Why, O God why!? I know you take pride in your work. Talk to us please, don't hide this! we need an announcement, a recall, statement its non-cannon, a promise to rewrite the book, ANYTHING please!
