I just watched the video. When she shot Wrex Kaidan wasn't near her. He was in the area but not near her. Only until after she shot him he says "Wait what? Did you just kill him chief?" He was genuinely surprised by what happened and seemed to not really notice it until afterwards. If he was actually near her he could have easily stopped her from firing the weapon.
Yes Ash waits until Shepard is unable to convince Wrex. Its likely that she just overheard the conversation.
I'm guessing she moved closer during the conversation (which wasn't any of her business) and then shot when it wasn't solved fast enough for her liking.
Shep wasn't "unable" to convince Wrex. He was still trying and had put his weapon down (probably to look less intimidating) and Wrex was mid sentence when she shot him.
Wrex is not an idiot. He wasn't going to seriously try to kill everyone there to get the genophage cure.
And you mind throwing me a link to that vid?
God this makes me wish Wrex was a squaddie in ME3.

And it's kinda a fact: Ashley doesn't talk "political correctly". I'm fine with that, I really enjoy that. Know what? If Ash is an racist, then -everyone- is a racist. And yes, I mean it. No exception. Every ... Effing ... Human ... in ... this ... time ... and ... world ... is!
Hm, sorry, but that's nonsense. She has said some questionable comments (the bug-eyed monster thing, the animals line).

There's some prejudice there, imo.
I already stated in my post. Its best for you to quote the whole thing also by really racist I mean she isn't as racist as most attempt to paint her as. Plus the "You're not even our species." comment is a result of Jealousy, being challenged and not feeling she is good enough (she actually says the last part).
Then Liara also says she believed humans to be rushed and high strung. A lot of races in ME have prejudices. Ashley is less so than most and mostly due to not much experience with other races.

THAT'S RACIS-! ..oh...wait...
Also I'm pretty sure Shepard tells Ashley to "be ready" for Wrex no matter what, which implies "I'm gonna go talk to this guy but you'd better have your finger on the trigger just in case." Turns out if you suck at talking "Just in case" turns into Ashley saving your ass.

I don't think being angry, jealous and wanting to "break Liara in half" really justifies her comments, but opinions and all that.

Yes, that will do, Ms. Williams.
That doesn't imply racism.
What does it imply? That she's partially blind?
She can't tell a pyjak from a monkey?
Or an iguana from a krogan?
You have to agree that they really look like animals. pyjak being fairly identical to monkey. And krogan similar to lots of reptilian but in a bigger size.

Suit radio can hear plenty of things also even when you do convince Wrex Shepard still has his gun up. Shepard always aims his weapon right after attempting to convince Wrex. Its some gameplay thing I believe but it does happen.
Also how was Wrex mid sentence? He says "No more talk Shepard. I got to do this my way." the no more talk part pretty much says he was done with discussion. Wrex has survived a lot of **** before it isn't unlikely he thought he could escape them. Hell his entire clan was killed around him as his father ambushed him and he still escaped that.

Hm...I don't know. I could've sworn Shep doesn't say it in some of my games (mostly my maxed paragon ones) but I might be mistaken.
Ashley didn't save Shep's ass. Wrex wasn't going to kill him.

I really doubt Wrex is stupid enough to think he'd get away with killing all the STG, everyone on the Normandy and then stealing the Normandy successfully as well as storming the hold and getting the cure from Saren. There's anger and then there's blatant stupidity.
Though you're right he wasn't mid sentence.
Though that wimpy never do that again made me roll my eyes.

They are all prejudice but to say Ashley is incredibly racist because she was angry (and actually felt sorry about it) is off. She is prejudice (like many of them especially Wrex) but not extremely racist. I think a dev actually explained her alien from the animals comment. It was supposed to be activated around the keepers.

Good well firstly you've seen the things she's said first hand some of them are arguably racist but only because she shows signs of ignorance, but now as we've established in this thread alone she is aware she is making those comments and from the definition of the dictionary that makes her racist not a bad person just racist now I and I'm sure most others would appreciate it if you were to just accept this fact and continue on with your other activities.SAGEHONOR wrote...

Dictionary definitions of xenophobia include: deep-rooted antipathy towards foreigners (Oxford English Dictionary; OED), unreasonable fear or hatred of the unfamiliar, especially people of other races (Webster's)

When did I say he would kill them I said escape. He is rather good at that for some reason. He wouldn't need to steal the Normandy. Wrex was rather willing to go in the base himself and stop or at least slow Shepard and co down (probably by killing Shepard then escaping) then find the cure. Wrex knows that they can't let the cure off the planet so the only way he would be able to get it is if he evades them.
