That right there is where I stopped listening. You don't outrun a nuke. Not with normal legs.

perhaps you should have continued listening until she finished the sentence

She had to "outrun a nuke in a utility pod".  I doubt the pod had legs

She outran a nuke in a utility pod? I can't help but wonder A. Why would a utility pod be fast enough to outrun a nuke and B. Even if it was fast enough how the hell would she have gotten inside one and piloted it offworld?

Except Shepard is not risking his entire people (which Shep explains if he/she has enough time or brain power. I'm pretty sure non-enough paragon Shep would've realized what to say soon enough.)

You're joking right? If Shep and Wrex had a one on one even in ME1 it wouldn't have been a one-two done deal unless one of them cheated. Wrex can take more damage but Shep also has far more damage dealers on his side. You're saying this like everyone around Wrex is immobile or something. Wrex would have to take them into account in any plan of attack.

If Wrex had lunged at Shep and *then* Ash took the shot I'd have no issue. She didn't wait til then. He was still just talking when she attacked him.

It is stupid. He's dying for no reason. (which Shep straight up says if he/she did his mission or has enough paragon/renegade points).

And highly likely =/= someone getting shot. Like Shep says Ash had no right to take that shot.

Re your edit:
Wrex ran away on his homeplanet. Not on a planet filled to the brim with hostiles and the only means of escape being said hostiles transportation.

Considering that Ashley shot Wrex this isn't the Shepard that was smart enough. This is in Wrex's point of view not my main opinion.

In close quarters Shepard would not be able to take down a Battlemaster quick enough (depending on the weapon) to stay alive long enough so Wrex to get killed. Then again due to the way Bioware do cutscenes a non augmented Shepard can take down Wrex which makes no sense.

Yes its stupid you said it many times and even though its stupid Wrex seems to want to fight anyway. Am I saying he should? No but Wrex will go after the cure and they will have to stop him. Wrex and Shepard knows that and Ashley could over hear it if she is listening in on the radio channels.

I guess highly likely is the one word. Someone will get shot. Shepard can't allow Wrex to try and get the cure and Wrex knows that. At that point someone will get shot.

I was mentioning the initial situation. Wrex could easily see that he has a small chance not a good one to survive the initial fight. Even then he pretty much said he will go after the cure so its obvious either way Wrex is willing to die for the cure.

It makes perfect sense. He takes Wrex off guard and then takes him out. (which makes me feel even more strongly that Wrex was not intending to shoot Shepard.)

I'm not sure radio channels were being used. They were talking in plain sight of everyone there. Wrex knows that everyone there has their eyes on him. (thus probably why Kaidan misses Ash moving. Too busy watching Wrex and Shep).

There isn't a will. Shepard *could* try to introduce a compromise. (Like offering Wrex part of the cure) Someone does not *have* to get shot.

Yeah he's willing to die for the cure sure enough. I'm just not seeing him as liable to throw his life away to shoot at Shep who isn't threatening him in the least at the moment. Wrex can safely walk away at this point (Shep's weapon is down and a paragon Shepard will not shoot him in the back nor allow anyone else to) and try his luck against Saren. There's no reason to add to his amount of enemies.

Yes, that will do, Ms. Williams.

That doesn't imply racism.

What does it imply? That she's partially blind?

She can't tell a pyjak from a monkey?

Or an iguana from a krogan?

I agree. I have heard it said that BioWare took the position that it was not intended as a racist comment, but I beg to differ.

I'm surprised no one has said this yet.

We know that Krogan can survive a lot of punishment. Combined with their armor that weighs a ton and kinetic barriers also biotics Wrex has the advantage in close quarters. Shepard should not be able to knock Wrex out in that scene.

Radio could easily be used to listen in on the conversation and see where its heading. Either that or Ash has good instincts/

Shepard could have but its likely he wouldn't. At that point Wrex pretty much says no more talking he was done negotiating and Shepard never showed that he or she was going to let even part of that cure leave the planet. Why would Shepard let him go?  Wrex doesn't want the cure destroyed but Shepard does. The entire scene is set up so that its likely Wrex will shoot Shepard. It can be argued that he wouldn't but even then I doubt that he would just leave the planet and let Shepard destroy it.

Shepard is a enemy specifically because he wants to destroy the cure and Wrex doesn't. You can say that Shepard could have offered to give part of the cure to Wrex (what do you mean by part half the data?) but its pretty obvious that their intentions is to destroy the cure. Blame Bioware for not giving Shepard the option to get the data. Even then I doubt Shepard would. If a Krogan cure was out there I'm sure the Council would blame Shepard.

Considering the last movie, the one Jon is referring to, you're probably better off.

Also Ash is not a racist, she never said "yuck" and hanar totally look like jellyfish, and elcor look like elephants, blah, blah, blah, I've already seen this movie.

I think this argument will continue since one of us believe that Wrex wasn't ever going to shoot Shepard and the other does. The thing is the way the entire thing is set up it actually looks like Wrex will shoot shepard since he will try and destroy the cure.

Actually I believe those barriers don't work if you're too close. Like it'll stop a force coming in from a certain distance but if you're too close to start with you're dead. It's why a shot from close up is instantly fatal while one from too far away gets deflected from the shields. And Kinetic barriers (on armor at least) don't tend to work with slow moving objects (like Shep's elbow, knives and hand to hand combat).

If my knowledge of the lore is accurate anyway.

Radio could easily be used to listen in on the conversation and see where its heading. Either that or Ash has good instincts/

Or she's just nosy and jumped the gun. YMMV.

...Uh when has paragon Shepard *ever* attacked someone who didn't attack him first? Please I will wait. As long as Wrex isn't attacking paragon Shepard, paragon Shepard isn't attacking him. That's how paragon Shepard works. (unless you have committed atrocities which...Wrex hasn't done). Yeah I meant just the data not half the data.

So what about the STGs intentions? It's not like Shepard listens to authority if he doesn't want to (unless they force him). And yeah so what the council tends to complain and whine about every damn thing. Freed Rachni "OMG SHEPARD!" saved colony? "OMG SHEPARD!" Seriously wanted a STFU option.

Not to mention Saren didn't even HAVE a genophage cure. He was cloning them. That's not a cure. Which Shepard and Wrex would've realized once they got into the base.

And I don't think he is going to shoot Shepard. Merely frustrated and taking it out the only way he's used too. Why be caught off guard by Shep's attack if he was gonna shoot Shepard?

So yeah...we will go in circles. Agree to disagree?

Ah. ME3 will answer that question well enough if the leaks are to be believed.

Also, please don't take offense, I wasn't making fun of you debating, I was just pointing out that I, personally, am tired of this debate. I was in the same one on another thread earlier this very day.
