No new damaging abilities other than that one, but biotics have been tweaked and now both Shockwave and Throw should be much more useful.

What, Throw will actually throw people (which aren't already at 0G) now?
About shockwave, wait and see, but I don't see how it could be changed (a bit) without taking another power's role.

Well, it is said that biotics should no longer be useless against people with defenses, so I guess Throw will really throw people around but with penalties to those with defenses.

I always felt that powers that dealt newtons of force should deal damage to defenses relative to that force. So a heavy throw clearly shouldn't be as good against a barrier as a warp, but it should be just as good against a shield...while having a shorter recharge time. Shockwave would then become some decent aoe damage to defenses while sending undefended things flying.

Well it looks pretty decent - might be more emphasis on the force and throwing targets like some crazy shockwave, rather than more damage like a standard frag grenade.

The entire point of the Adept is to act as CC on ME3. Decreasing the hindrance that shields and armor pose to biotics was the first sign, this video is another.

That the official site says so with all letters "Specializing in crowd control, Adepts are an essential asset on the field, allowing for a wide range of combat options which otherwise would not be available." is just the icing on the cake and SHOULD be enough to hush the naysayers.

Now the only question that remains is: Equip only a Phalanx Pistol and have near-zero cooldown or have a Raptor/Mattock rifle too?

I don't think it will hush the biotic grenade naysayers if those are the naysayers are talking about.

1.  It is still a grenade(so theme based naysayers wont be happy)
2.  It adds nothing to a adepts gameplay you can warp bomb every few seconds this does nothing for you that you already can't do routinely.  So anyone who had issues with what it does will still be underwhelmed.  Looking flashy does not add anything to my game play.  A power that added a new dynamic would have, this does not do that.

Generally agree.
Well, the reason I choose adept was biotic mastery. Not primarily crowd control.:(

its an exclusive ability so exclusive nobody will use it!

i barely notice people going into the power wheel, so why go into the power wheel if i can just use warp and accomplish the same thing? id rather waste a cooldown on a warp bomb then use the bionade for free.

I'd take nova, overpower, barrier, stasis, reave, slam etc. etc. over biotic grenade.

But Bioware does not give a crap about adept players if your class is not focussed around shooting people in the face you get ignored.(jk)   Though I do think due to time constraints they really dropped the ball on some of these new powers.

They could at least provide it as a free or semi-free dlc. You know, giving adept players the option to actually play the class as it actually was described in the series.

after playing around with cluster grenades in the demo i have to say it's pretty powerful, i would dare say it has the potential to be the most powerful grenade power in ME3.

Not a biotic power, when there are already other biotic powers you cannot have while supposed to be the biotic master.
Grenades are like the new squadmates: they take a slot when in the same time other powers/squadmates are wanted but will not be there because of them.

Better to ressurrect than create a new one. I was sort of dissapointed by the extreme lack of creativity on Bioware's part. They threw the bone to Vangaurd speciaclly, and a bit to Engineer but not to anyone else. What they achieved with this was to make the Soldier less special.

I'm not going to cancel my pre-order, I love ME, and I will love ME 3, but I just like to let game companies know when I feel they were being unfair in terms of balancing and which players to throw the bone to.
