I prefer Blast on Mordin and Heavy on Shepard, since Shepard will use this ability more on bosses (Gunships, Scions, YMIRs, Terminator) rather than mooks.

On Husk missions you just bring Mordin (with Blast) and Samara (with Area Reave).

Good advice above.

Yep, though for my infiltrator I chose blast as I wanted to concentrate on having squadmates other than Mordin with me for most missions.

I've always gone with blast so I could take down multiple enemies at once. Its great for crowd control.

I always prefer AoE evolutions to heavier damage, so long as I can one-shot regular enemies' defences. This is strictly my own preference though, as I recognize the argument for heavy evolutions on Shep.

On hardcore, blast merits the most effective use, since the defenses aren't that strong, so a wide spread nets you a bigger total gain in terms of stripping defenses and crowd control.

On insanity, I go mostly heavy on Shepard and blast on Mordin. The instant hit of Mordin's power is more precise and thus less likely to puff into nothing when the targets spread to far like when the power would have all the way to travel first.

The difference between blast and heavy is negligible agains 90% of the enemies you fight. If I recall correctly someone tested the difference between the two a year ago (or something along those lines) and it took the same amount of Incinerates to fully strip a Krogan of his armor. The last Heavy Incinerate was complete and utter overkill, but the point stands.

I am biased towards the AOE version, as firedance is an effective means of crowd control IMO.

That, and I don't find the damage of Heavy Incinerate something worth investing 10 points in.

This is all just opinion though.

Blast. If you're a Widow Infiltrator you don't need to use cloak to kill mooks, so you can get alot of usage out of your Incinerate. Helps conserve ammo, finishes mobs, weakens groups, looks cool.

I consider the AOE versions to be better in almost all cases.
