My first playthrough will be my first, mostly Paragon, engineer Shepard with Tali as his LI. After that I will do my female soldier Renegade Shepard with Garrus as LI.

Soldier, because I just see it as default. The soldier would be to enjoy the story, as the gameplay will merely be point and shoot with no added flavouring (though I 'll jump straight in with Insanity to see if it is an actual test). Basically I figured that because I have 6 characters that I want to play through ME3 with at some point it would make more sense to do the soldier first as if I leave it till later it'll just seem dull in comparison to the more specialised classes.

I fully expect to be hindered by Origin when importing saves first. In which case I'll be ranting and cursing EA for hours before finally managing to import. Call me paranoid and pessimistic but I have a feeling this first day launch is going to fail big time.

Once I get ME3 working however I'll be importing my canon Shepard - a paragon soldier.

My first play will be with my last developed character, chapman Shepard, full paragon with just a good smattering of renegade because, I'm sorry, but if you didn't kill the batarian getting to arch angel, throw dude out the window getting to thane, head butt that idiot krogan on tuchanka, or bust that schmuck in the mouth getting info on thanes son, then you clearly are way too nice to save a galaxy. I may play paragon (moral compass thing), but you still have to break a few eggs to make an omlette (and by eggs, I mean kill a few baddies for the grater good...THE GREATER GOOD). Also, my class is sentinel (which comes in handy this time around because "surprise", you don't have one in your unit other than Kaiden, and he did his duty on virmire and evaporated setting off a nuke). I have a save for every class ready to go as well, but the last character I did mirrors my desired outcomes going into 3. Second playthrough is my paragade vanguard and then it's onto captain alliance all paragon no renegade goody two shoes solder. Stay thirsty guys, see you on march 6th.

The "definitive" experience according to Bioware is whatever choices they defaulted to if you start a new save.

It does not nessesarily follow that by making what you perceive to be the best choices, or having "everyone alive" (or not) will yield the most satisfying in-game results.

It may be also be that your idea of a definative experience may not be so palatable once you see how your particular playthough choices are rewarded or punished, especially in comparison to your later now-spoiled playthroughs.

This is partially becauce your idea of what constitutes a just outcome may differ from the writer of of the story, no matter how congruent those ideas might have been in the past.

Therefore everyone's experience, no matter what their choices are, becomes "definative", for better or worse.

I only have one save to bring over, I play most of my playthroughs the same, and I find full Renegade or Paragon runs as a person, distasteful.

I have an older save, but recently went back and did a perfect ME 1 and ME 2 save.

Male Shepard, Sentinel. LI was Miranda, but I only did that because I was being shallow. Also her face changed reminded me of my girlfriend. Minus the body.

Saved Ashley (don't know why), kept Wrex, did every mission and assignment. Saved the Council.
Kept all squadmates, saved the entire crew. All missions and assignments again.  Obviously reactivated Legion, and I chose Samara over her daughter.  Saved the boy from Overlord, and kept the Collector Station. Gave Cerberus Intel back to Cerberus. A few minor things, but I don't need to tell you all every nitpick detail.

Ironically though, I'm a very Paragade player, but because of how I played, even max P/R had a Paragon outcome, and by the time I finished all the missions in ME 2, I had a higher Paragon score again.

Don't quote me on my interpretation of his/her post, but I think that they meant their definative playthrough is for themself, not their interpretation of the actual Canon Shepard.

My very first Shepard from my Xbox game, which is based on myself and has my name. Last summer I replayed him on my PC (about time, since I had the PC version since it was released) recreating exactly every single decision I took without any guide or anything and imported him to ME2. He's a paragade, because I don't believe in smiling and being nice to everyone, but he has a good heart. Probably his most shocking decision was to kill the Rachni queen, but I do not feel there is something good about letting her live, I never thought it would (maybe I will be wrong and I will lose a potential ally. Only time will tell).
He also has every companion alive, save Ashley. Kaidan is my Shep's bro and I found him more interesting than her (although I love both characters). Finally I must confess my Shep is still waiting for his love to arrive. He cares for Liara, but don't want to get involved with her since he feels he could hurt her. He's protecting her. Tali is not appealing to my Shepard, he sees her as a teen (no pun intended to any Tali fan, I have myself another Shepard involved with her in a relationship and found it interesting actually) and he did not get very well with Jack. Miranda started caring for my Shep but I stopped her Lastly, Kelly never had the chance, I ask for formality on my ship!

It'll most likely be either my Paragon Vanguard John or my Renegade Soldier Jack (avatar).

The 2nd playthrough will be my 'Worse playthrough' Sentinel Dani followed by my main Renegade FemShep Infiltrator Motoko and whom I started this whole adventure off with. With most likely whichever out of John and Jack I don't do first. After that, I dunno who will follow from my 12 other playthroughs, but it'll be fun seeing how they all progress with all the different variables each has.

I don't have full paragon or full renegade characters, I just have characters. So which one will I begin with? I have no idea. I will probably just choose one from the list randomly, and see how it goes.

I got 7 play-throughs to import but I will start off with my paragon Vanguard. My Engineer play-through will be interesting.

Currently replaying my first shep to fix a few kinks - Alan Shepard (nods to the first American Astronaut), Soldier spacer hero, loyal to LI Liara, mostly paragon, every carry-over character from ME1 saved - after that, my favorite renegade femshep (khazandra - nods to the house of atreus) then who knows? Heisenberg (nods to Breaking Bad)? Valkre (nods to Richard Wagner), Spanner, or Margreet (nods to Mata Hari)? gonna be fun in any case

Even though I highly doubt that their will be problems, it is very simple to just manually import your saves. All you have to do is grab your saves from your Mass Effect 2 save folder, and put it into the right folder in the Mass Effect 3 folder, probably will be named Mass Effect 2 saves.

My personal "main" Shepard - he's a Paragade (or a Renegon, i can't see the difference), with all the major decisions i made were Paragon choices, but being ruthless and cold on the way to that choice. Respect your friends, play a hero, but "end justifies the means".

Three kickass Shepards, all with awesome personal philosophies, ways of doing things, different backgrounds. Should i decide based on romance? class? "Canon Shepard"?

I don't know. Probably start with my renegade Infiltrator, since she is doomed for the worst possible ending, if it exists.

My first play through will be my Paragon Male Shep with Ashley as my LI. Her new look is hard to pass up. Then I would have to continue with the paragon Liara LI. Miranda is coming in as a strong third play through. At that point Sheppard might be missing cuddle time with Miranda after the SM.

I'll choose my first playthrough so I can involve my fav. LI. My next playthrough will be my Engineer because they should unlock "more" unique things than any character I have left.

After that I'll just play through the classes left ... Vanguard, Warrior, Infiltrator, Sentinel, Adept ....

I haven't decided yet, but I'm thinking either my original Shep (mostly Paragon, Vanguard, romanced Ashley & Jack, with Wrex, Kaidan, Tali, Zaeed and Jacob dead) or my most recent one (mostly Renegade, Adept, no romances, everyone except Ashley alive) - I'm leaning towards the one with more deaths first since I think that'll keep the replay value higher if I don't see all the returning characters the first time around.
