with ME3 coming out soon i decided to play through ME1 and 2 again. the only thing i havent decided on is the romance. ive come up with three different choice but dont know what to choose. what do yall think?

A) Romance ashley in ME1 and no one in ME2, staying faithful to ashley

B) Romance no one in ME1 and Miranda in ME2, staying faithful to Miranda, or

C) Romance ashley in ME1 then romance miranda in ME2 and see how everything plays out with the consequences that will aparently play a roll in ME3 for not staying faithful to one of them.

Let me know what yall think.

A + B + C.
Try all three options to find out how it might end. ^^

Option C then kill Ashley in Me3. Continue with Miranda in Me3.

We got it, Darius. You hate Ashley with all your guts.
(Which is okay ... it's just ... awkward.)

However, that's not the answer the OP was looking for.

The OP asked which of the three option is better.

I choose C and then add extra advice. The Ashley deathscene is actually touching.

I prefer Miranda only hence option B but C has better consequense and touching ending.

You should keep in mind you won't see that touching scene in certain circumstances. I won't go into details here since it's spoiler stuff. Besides that - the entire Ashley romance turns out to be bit more fulfilling if she's not dying :D

Miranda's romance -is- complicated in some way. Also since it's spoiler stuff I won't write it down here.

@Cptdata IMO the Miranda or Jack romance seems more fulfilling than the VS even when they are not squaddies.

Dunno what you read ... but not in my files. It depends on the amount of interaction as well.
Overall I'm glad ME2 romances didn't get sidelined or something, they're really great. There's only one romance that seems to get the short end of the stick ... wait ... two ... and only in certain situations.

VS romance is -really- fulfilling.

Ash then Miranda is how my Renegade Shep rolled. I don't have an Ash-faithful save, I should get around to do one.

I hate to say this as a Miranda fan, but Miranda's death scene is also very touching.

I still prefer neither one to die. And Miranda has no match.

That's what I said with "spoilers" - Miranda's death kinda gives more emotions than anything else. Also the death of a romanced Ashley is a real heartwrencher. Dunno of other LI!deaths now, but guess they might be touching as well.

Would you spoil me about that in a PM? In which way is Ashley's romance especially fulfilling?

Also going with C.
I'm curious to see what drama it will cause. But Ashley is my main romance, if I'm able to choose between the two in ME3, it'll be Ash.

This will turn into a "My LI is better than yours thread."

Both of them are strong and determined women. They are so alike and so different in some regards.

Anyway, it's your decision, but you can always do multiple PT.

Option C.

You can't be unfaithful to Miranda in the first game because you haven't met her yet and it technically isn't cheating on Ashley to romance Miranda in the second game because as Shepherd you've been dead for two years and the fight you have with Ashley on Horizon is strong grounds for a break-up (arguable due to the reconciliatory letter afterwards). That way when you play ME3 the events can help you decide which you want to finally choose and like most others have pointed out it will be more fun and dramatic. Also according to the devs you can't romance an ME2 character in ME3 without previously romancing her/him/it so if you want the option to pick Miranda only options B and C are going to have that open for you.
