Yes and no, I think its off more.  The look is the same but the effect of the enemy will be much different.

a phantom is basically just another word for ghost


in Mass Effect, a Banshee is an asari husk, a Phantom is a Cerberus ninja, pretty much

Nope, that attack was reserved for the bung hole, but with DLC it can be changed to lightning. Unfortunately BioWare could never get the sound right so they decided to just call it the "silent, but deadly" attack.

Not to sound like a hormonally charged adolescent, but could that be the "partial nudity" listed in the game rating? The ESRB gets a little crazy sometimes.
