Hey guys,

I'm struggling with configuring the autodownloader.  I'm successfully client staging to my dropbox and I'm server staging to My Documents, and I believe I have configured my nwn2player.ini correctly.  Unfortunately, when I attempt to log onto my server, i get the error message "the server is not properly configured for downloading. Please contact server admin".

My nwserverLog1 reveals this:

.[Tue Jan 24 02:57:58] Loading Module: The Forgotten Realms
TRANS: [Tue Jan 24 02:57:58]Not decompressing as not loading from a previously visited module.
TRANS: [Tue Jan 24 02:57:58]Setting up Stall Event now.
ERROR: resource hcr2 is not a supported game resource.
ERROR: You must correct the preceding error before players can connect with autodownload enabled.
.

The hcr2 file (no file extension) is a part of the hcr2 system.  The HCR2 system says this about it:
hcr2                    TLK file for toolset (copy into NWN2 install directory)
There is a second hcr2 (but this one is .tlk) in the My Doc/.../tlk directory.  If I remove the hcr2 file from my install directory, I get an error message when loading up the tooset ( i1095.photobucket.com/albums/i471/psyren81/error.jpg ), and I am unable to Prepare Downloadable Files...  The toolset process will hang on the hcr2 file and then the toolset crashes, without an error message.

I believe it is this one file that is preventing my autodownloader from working.  It's my best guess, anyway.  hehe

I would definitely appreciate any help anyone might be able to offer!

You don't need to fake out the toolset anymore, just use the custom tlk file in the tlk folder and select it with the toolset dialog for your custom tlk. What it was telling you to do is obsolete. You should be using just the one in the tlk folder and that works fine for the toolset.

Second, do not put files in your program files folder, put them in your "my docs/neverwinter nights 2". Get anything out of there you are using, and use the override folder or other equivalent folders under my docs. ( generally the 2da's need to have a second copy in the player override to make sure they take effect )

Oh. So you have to specify the custom TLK in the module properties? Wow that would have been good information for them to include on the custom load hints tutorial.

I simply modified the module property and added a file extension onto the file, and it worked. A very simple solution, yet not one I would have considered! So thank you (and thanks for always being so quick to help)!
