Being a massive fantasy fan i have seen people create characters using the shadowkeeper utility.  I'm more into original characters but would like to try my hand at re creating certain fantasy characters that have existed in novels over the years.

Are there any websites around that have information or stats for characters like Drizzt, Wulfgar, Artemis Entreri etc....  I'd love to re create characters such as these using shadowkeeper and any information or advice would be much appreciated.

Things like  experience, level, class, stats, weapons, armour etc... to make them as close as possible to the real thing.  I know you can create custom weapons and armour in BG, but i'd probably not go that far and would simply use weapons already in the game that are close to the ones used by the Fantasy characters.

Creating a BG version of Artemis Entreri would be awesome.

Been fiddling with the Shadowkeeper Utility and was looking at the Creature Files. Is there a way to extract them into the Character folder and make them playable characters?

I noticed a Drizzt Creatue File and thought that it might be possible to convert it into a playable character file. Anyone done this?

I guess it would be possible. When you meet Drizzt (or after spawning him with cheats), use Ctrl Q to add him to your party, save the game and then change his classification using Shadowkeeper to PC. Now you can export him and import him as a character for a new game.

Note that Drizzt (the Baldur's Gate II version, that is) is actually the only character in the game who will notice if you have the same name and attack you for dirtying it if your reputation is too low.

The Drizzt Saga mod allows him (and his friends if you want) to join your party. Note that he is far too strong for BG1 though, so it doesn't make much sense to add him in at the start of the game.

Im unsure how to spawn Drizzt using cheats? I use Windows 7 and have read that using CLUA console and ini cheats isn't possible, but i could be wrong.

I do have Shadowkeeper and also Near Infinity utilities but am a novice at both. Been trying to read up on these utilities but am still on a steep learning curve.

I was perhaps looking at simply using Shadowkeeper (as i find it easier to use) and simply creating a new character using stats of guys like Drizzt, Entreri, Wulfgar etc... I'm just trying to find thier stats and proficiencies and which items that are currently in the game that would suit these fantasy characters without having to resort to creating custom items. Does anyone know of any websites that list the stats, kits, and experience levels of these great characters in relation to BG? Then i can use Shadowkeeper to try and re create them, knowing that they wont be perfect, but close as possible.

If i can create these characters using Shadowkeeper i'd be rapt. I've never used or downloaded a Mod before and will have to look into the Drizzt Saga, but i'm leaning towards simply keeping the game vanilla and just making individual characters. Don't even really plan on using them too much, just collecting them as trophies in my character folder.

If anyone has made a fantasy chr file using shadowkeeper then i'd love to get a hold of them.

Google is your friend. "Baldur's Gate" + "cheats", or better yet, just "CLUAConsole" has a ton of results.
For specific character codes (like Drizzt's), you can use Shadowkeeper.

I use Windows 7 and have read that using CLUA console and ini cheats isn't possible, but i could be wrong.

The only thing that you need to take care of is not to install in the program folder. If your path is something like C:\\Games\\Baldur's Gate or D:\\Baldur's Gate, then Win7 will do nothing to stop you.
This should have been found out quickly with a short search on the forum though.

Shadowkeeper is easy.

Sure, that's possible too.

You have 2 options. Either you use Shadowkeeper to look at the characters as they are in BG2, or you use Google. It took me 5 minutes to find 2 different character sheets for Drizzt, I'm sure you'll be able to find one too.

I'm sorry for being a bit brash... It's just that most of these questions would have been answered by us the same way (by looking for answers in google/Shadowkeeper etc). I don't mind answering questions that actually adress my experience/intellect directly, but if it's just the ability to employ a search engine, I can get a little cranky.

to spawn drizzt (non-party member) you can use these codes. other than that you'd have to go shadowkeeper or cluaconsole.

first make sure cheats are enabled by going to baldur.ini in your baldur's gate directory (open it in notepad or something) to do this type Cheats=1 under Game Options

the following are regular cheat codes basically, the rest would use a different entry for using the CLUAConsole.

alt+tab to type, then enter once the command is complete (i don't think caps matter)

Cheats:DrizztDefends(): Good Drizzt (this is the generic green npc drizzt)
Cheats:DrizztAttacks(): Bad Drizzt (red npc drizzt, hostile)

Others that use the Cheats entry are:

Cheats:TheGreatGonzo(): Summon 10 killer chickens (a programmer was obviously a zelda fan, 10 chickens that fight for you like summoned monsters, not a spell)
Cheats:FirstAid(): Give 5 potions of healing and neutralize poison and 1 flesh
to stone scroll
Cheats:Midas(): 500 gold
Cheats:CowKill(): Do you understand?? (mage spell scroll that has this cool animation of a dragon kidnapping a cow when you cast it, and then a cow falls and kills the target)
Cheats:Hans(): Moves your character to a free adjacent area
Cheats:ExploreArea(): Explore all the area (clears your map for the area you're in)
Cheats:CriticalItem(): Give you 3 critical item (the three items required to make it through the game)

Also for the record, I use Win7, 64bit, and all the Cheats: and CLUAConsole: codes work great.

Not sure this old discussion needs to be necromanced, but for the record, I also had no trouble activating the Clua console using the default directory in Windows 7. I believe that the trouble some people have with the Programs(x86) folder in Windows 7 has to do with either not being logged on as Administrator, not running the program as Adminstrator, or not having their User Account Controls (UAC) slider set all the way to the bottom, i.e. turned off.

That last about having UAC turned off is especially important for gamers using mods.
