I've played through this section a few times. This last time I chose to let Isolde kill the boy. That sequence of voice acting/dialogue was among some of the most powerful in the game imo. It's a shame that it's attached to a choice that few people will ever make. There's no real reason to push it that far unless your PC just has some intense hatred for mages, or is just generally a psychotic sociopath.

The main point of the post is a kudos to those that created this scene. I actually felt sadness and guilt for the decision I made.
