Can't decide if I should replay 1 and 2, or just go with my save...

So I haven't played ME 1 or 2 in over 8 months...can't decide if I should replay both games to get all my choices ready or just import my data and hope that I remember stuff...

I suppose maybe I could just put the game on casual difficulty and blow through 1 and 2 just for the sake of getting the right story choices I want.

What are you guys doing?

(I'm playing on Xbox, so downloading a save isn't an option....unless there is a way to do that?  If there is please let me know!)

I'm a PC/PS3 player; what I'm doing is this: a new ME1 PC run on Normal with a new Shep and class I've never played (Engineer) just to get a story refresher as it's been almost 8 months for me as well. Then I have a femShep on the PS3 ME2 to finish up. If after that there's still time, I'll import my ME1 Engineer into ME2 on my PC. No idea if I'll be able to do all this before March 6th, though; these games are pretty long.

I'm making my final completionist play through. I would consider it the same as watching all the movies in a series before the final one comes out. Just to make sure I remember and understand everything, and have all the choices that I want flagged correctly. We've got plenty of time between now and release, I would suggest a final play through once more before ME3 comes.

Are you a completionist who finishes all the side missions and mine every planet? If not, you can run through the 2 games pretty quick and recap those great moments. :B

I'm not a completionist per se, but I would like to make sure I cover the "minor" things like Conrad Verner or the reporter lady - you know stuff that is fun to see play out through all 3 games that aren't choosable in the "previously on Mass effect" comic that ME2 has and ME3 will have.

I haven't played the Mass Effect games for quite a while and I feel burned out on Skyrim right now so I'm about to embark on a ME1 + ME2 marathon and make sure I get my perfect save in time for Mass Effect 3.

I'm halfway just about done with my latest play of Mass Effect 2. I started eith Mass Effect 1. I beat Mass Effect 14+ times, I completed Mass Effect 2 like 8 times. I'm a PS3/Xbox 360 user as well but prefer Xbox. It's upto you, I love Mass Effect!!!

I think it is a good idea to play the first two again just to put the whole story fresh in your mind. It also let me see how far this series has actually came. I truly believe that almost everything that has been added to this series has been beneficial, and its faults are easily overlooked because of the sheer brilliance of the games storytelling.

Just play it. I just finished a file, and had a lot of fun. At first I was weary and didn't want to do it for the umpteenth time, however after I finished that file I decided to do another for alternate choices.

Having just ground my way through Pinnacle Station for what I sincerely hope was the last time in my life, I would have to advise against it. If you can keep yourself from doing it you should. At this rate I'm not going to be able to start Mass 3 until April at the earliest.

Yeah this is my biggest fear.  I've played ME 1 and 2 sooo many times it might be quite a slough to go through it all again.

I'm currently playing through the games again, but because some jackass posted about the script on here, I'm suddenly less motivated to do so. Come to think of it, why didn't Bioware crack down hard and make it against the rules to mention that damn script on here? I see people posting full details with no advance warning and nobody seems to mind. Pisses me off. The reason I'm less motivates is because, if the script is to be believed, a lot of the choices were merely illusions. I mean, my Pro-Cerberus Shepard who hated aliens and did everything to support humanity - without going into details, I'm not sure if she is going to be viable in Mass Effect 3.

I think I would load up your saved games for the first playthrough. If you run through ME1 & ME2 again I would make them "complete" runs just in the event some tiny side quest in ME1 actually has a meaningful effect in ME3 ...

YMMV ..

Too late my friend, if you want to do a completionist playthrough that is. That's about 70 hours in a month, and with work and a social life near impossible.
