Yeah..while I agree, I also disagree.
There really wouldn't be anything special about the CE. Everyone will get the DLC. Great. So CE will only be useful for soundtrack, patch, ONE issue of a comic, and (the most important) the art book. But wait, people can just buy the Art of ME universe and get more DLC content.
I think there should be some exclusive DLC for CE. Maybe the DLC armor, weapons and alternate outfits for the characters. But anything made after the game is released is obviously fair game.

I'd probably go for it if a season pass were available. Would be a pretty darn attractive option

I'd say this is a great idea for any non-CE content. I'd buy one. I hate all that individual purchase crap; I'd be much more likely to go for DLC that I could just download when it's released.

I'd rather just wait a year after the games out and then get the GOTY/Ultimate/Complete/Whatever edition that comes with all the DLC included.

I support this. I'll pay a larger lump sum for every piece of DLC up front for a game like Mass Effect if it means I get it all as it comes out without any hassle.

A few companies are moving to some form of service like this. Saints Row the Thrid had a pack that got you the first three "Story Based" DLC for $20. True it wasn't announced what these would be at the time but it would make the first three DLC cheaper overall and gave some bonus clothing and vehicles upon purchase.

Isn't a season pass subscriptive? As in, I need to pay every year for the pass?

Last I heard, DLC isn't part of the Elite package, so people still have to pay for it, the upfront price is just cheaper since some of it is included in the Elite package.RPGamer13 wrote...

Its not required.
Call of duty Elite simply gets you DLC a bit earlier, it has no exclusitivity to it whatsoever.
They also don't have to pay for the DLC because they are paying a subscription fee. It's not labeled as a season pass, but it's still the same concept.
Season passes does not mean exclusive content for those that bought it. It's a tool to offer chunks of DLC at a discounted price before releasing details of all the DLC before hand.
If Bioware were to offer a season pass, I'd likely buy it. Otherwise, they'll be lucky if I buy any of their DLC. Especially since this is the last game in Shepard's story. I only bought Kasumi and Lair of The Shadow Broker because we knew there would be a ME3 and playing them gave me something to look forward to in the future.
But DLC for a game that's not going to get a continuation, I'd need a different reason to buy any proposed content.

You've got my vote... I like it, and I'd buy it. But as others have asked is this an annual, or other type of subscription to maintain the DLC you own? Or is it a one time purchase for all DLC?

Not annual. One time purchase of 20-30 dollars or 1600-2400ms/bw points

I pre ordered the CE and really I wouldn't throw a fit if those that didn't could still get the dlc later on. Give us our time to gloat then extend it to everyone else
it's not like people can download the collector tin.

I'd definitely purchase a Mass Effect 3 season pass if BioWare provided one, especially if it promised plenty of additional appearance, armour and weapon packs.

I don't see why. You can buy all the dlc the moment it's released. Why need a pass for it? The only reason for getting it would be if it was much cheaper. But for some reason I doubt that. Special service -> extra costs.

I support this idea. I saved quite a bit of money on the Gears DLC by buying the season pass when it was on sale for Christmas.

New copies of ME3 already have an online pass that is required to play multiplayer, for those confused.
I would buy a season pass. Already have for LA Noire and Gears of War 3. It came in handy for LA Noire, not so much for Gears (but they kind of expected me to not get my money's worth anyways as that is the benefit of a season pass, it gets people to shell out before they realize they will lose interest before playing the later DLC).

Season passes are cheaper than buying all the DLC separately. The publisher benefits because people pay the whole season pass price and may lose interest by the later DLCs. That leaves the publisher with most of the money they would have gotten out of you had you wanted all the DLC, but in reality, many people dont buy all DLC. Season pass is a way to push customers over the edge to getting more DLC and even if they pay less, they are likely buying more content than they usually would and may not even use the later DLC, so it doesn't make a difference to the publisher how many you enjoy, they just want you to buy more.

I would absolutely jump on a "season pass" option if it was available. Bonus points if it works across platforms.

I would love it if they did what Gears of War 3 does for their Season Pass. Allows you to all the future DLC when it comes out. Plain, and very simple. It would be perfect for Mass Effect 3.

I would definitely be on-board for this. After Bioware gave PS3 gamers all that content for free, I felt ROYALLY SCREWED.
