Already should have the CAR as I have the ME2 CE, thus my CE gear should transfer to ME3 as far as I take it.

And even if it doesn't, I am not currently not looking to spend too much money, I have to save that for my new PC.

Wasn't the Collector assault rifle just a glorified Avenger with pretty art?

If that's the case, then why bother?

Its base damage was at least 2 times of that. And had a smaller magazine. But other than that its recoil never changed. Which made it awesome.

The Avenger is 10.8 DPS, CAR is 17.4. Not a massive increase, but certainly noticeable.

And it's accuracy wasn't affected by movement.

At least, according to the wiki site. I don't have the CAR :pinched:

If you really want to get the CE rifle for ME2. Do what I've told everyone that wanted it on these forums. Email, call whatever EA support. Believe me it has worked. You may be able to get some codes for Terminus and weapon too if you ask.

Don't need it. My Mattock is just fine.

And if the N7 Valkyrie is how I imagine it is, I won't be sad I never got the CAR.

Ok so before I really didn't care, but this is starting to get ridiculous.

What is? Is it that it seems all exclusive DLC is coming with every Mass Effect product?

I mean it seems every little thing is getting a DLC incentive now, and its getting pathetic.

I kind of disagree.  I think it's kind of cool that people who are big enough fans of the series to be interested in figurines or books are getting a little bit extra for free.  And yes, these little extras - be from buying a game from a certain store or buying a store - are free.  I think the pathetic thing are the people who are complaining that they need to spend $250 to get "everything".

Maybe I'm in a minority, but I didn't use much of the nonstory DLC for ME2.  Gear and weapons are either useless or overpowered (and definitely not required), appearance packs are catered to taste, and certainly not necessary.

All these "incentives" for buying figurines or books aren't game breakers (hell, they're all MP stuff anyway).  If you're interested in them, great.. you'll be buying some cool swag.  If you're not, why do you care?  It's completely irrelevant.

I buy these extras, including the art books. I don't find this practice cool. It would be one thing if we knew that eventually everyone could buy these, but to have it indefinitely restricted to an array of pricey goods is a low move in my opinion.

I think the amount of exclusive DLCs that BioWare has spread around for ME3 is ridiculous now.

Yeah they're unlocks for the MP portion of the game. I just hope we'll be able to obtain these weapons in the SP, WITHOUT this DLC.

If it's in the SP then having a DLC just to unlock it in MP would look even more ludicrous.

It would still be better than not being able to unlock it at all without the DLC.

I do think it's getting a bit excessive.  But we also don't know these things will remain exclusive.

*shrug* I just feel like the more mature response to this isn't to whine but to say whatever.  It's al MP stuff.  It'd be another thing if it unlocked some SP squadie or mission.  And seeing as it IS MP stuff, I'm inclined to believe they'll be unlockable eventually... especially if MP becomes popular.  Bioware points, go.

You aren't in a position to judge what the content means to everyone, therefore, I still consider this a low move to have this wide array of exclusives tied to other merchandise.

And you're right, we don't know if they will remain exclusive. For that reason, we are right to assume they will remain exclusive, as that is what exclusive implies and BioWare has let us believe.

By all means then, get out the pitchforks and torches for a crappy rifle for MP or put your money where your mouth is and pay up.

In case you failed to actually read, I agree that its getting excessive.  However, I do feel that the stuff is pretty much only junk and aesthetics and being tied to an actual seperate, physical object, is hardly a gross offense.  Again, were not talking about a character or new mission.

So, you aren't in a position to judge me on what the content is to me, therefore, I still consider it a pretty childlike response to throw a tantrum over this junk.

I'm curious if us C.E owners of Mass Effect 2, those purchased for PS3 do we already have the item available?

Yep. Pretty much.

My biggest annoyance is there is no DLC with the Normandy model - I think that should deserve some loving too.

For the toy pack they said that the codes for DLC you get from the toys are randomized and could be any of a whole crapload of things including characters so for one chances are that we'll see it all releaed for everyone and it also means that they have a lot more multiplayer DLC ready for wjho knows what other garbage promotions are going to come up with. At any rate I couldn't care less about the multiplayer trash.

Except you can't, not the one from darkhorse anyway because it's only for multiplayer.

I didn't judge it for you. I stated my opinion that it should be available to anyone via standard DLC purchase routes and that would allow each player to judge the content.

There's gonna be so many more weapons in the game this time around, I doubt anyone will notice its missing in their arsenal.

No, it is a Barnes and Noble partnership.

I liked it. It was a nice alternative to the Vindicator, which I despise. Why have burst fire if you can't pulse it? Honestly...

I also like that it looks lika a shark. :D
