I apologise if this has already been answered (and if so, if someone could kindly link me the thread...) but I'm having a slight issue with my copy of DA:O.

A friend gifted me the Ultimate Edition through Steam, so I installed it and played through it up to Lothering. Was amazing and worked well, I redeemed the DLC code I got with the edition, even better, all the DLC was there and everything, no problems.

Recent mods I used required me to restart the game with a new character...so I did...and then found out that this was the same for about 3 more mods.  So after remaking the same character about 4 times in a row, I got tired of it and, in a huff, uninstalled the game (thinking I could get new achievement screenshots and the like.)

Obviously, it was a stupid thing to do.  So I reinstall the game...only this time it registers The Darkspawn Chronicles and another piece of DLC listed as "unauthorised content".  Luckily, I have a good friend who helped me through a fix with it...although it required another reinstallation.

So, everything DA:O related is deleted/uninstalled from my computer and I redownload and install again. Everything works (Yays!) BUT now I'm missing my Awakening expansion. It's literally nowhere to be found: not in the Download List, not on my profile list of DLC on here, no files in the DA:O file on my computer, nowhere, even though when I first got the game, it was there.

I really don't know how to fix this...is there a suppot number I can call or something? (The page I try to go through the FAQ keeps crashing on me for some reason...)

Thanks for any help, and again, so sorry if this was already answered

EDIT: I also have the CD Keys for both the game and the DLC, if that's of any use.

If you could provide a bit more info, that would help us to help you better. That's a good report for describing what happened, but a but more info on what you have (i.e. setup and e.g. media) will help. Take a look at the "Read me first" sticky and then we can work from there.

Normally, someone like what you describe would make me suggest a complete uninstall and re-install attempt since the most common problem (with DLC) doesn't seem to be an issue for you!

Ah, thank you. This was the first problem I've encountered so I'm a bit of a newb when it comes to reporting errors and such (only recently moved to PC gaming)

Okay, so I'm currently running on the v1.04 Patch, and my System Specs are as follows:

Asus Laptop, System Model: N55SF

Processor:  Intel® Core™ i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40GHz
Type: Family 6, Model 42, Stepping 7
Clock Speed: 2392 MHz
Physical Memory: 5.90GB
Display Adapter: Intel® HD Graphics Family
VRAM: -1325371392 bytes

Software:
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit
DirectX: DirectX 11 (Aug2009) or later

Sound:
Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)
Driver Version: 6.0.1.6413

Memory:
6144MB RAM
Physical Memory:  5.90 GB
Available: 4.07 GB
Used: 1.83 GB

Page File:
Used: 2057MB
Available:10037 MB

Hopefully that sheds a bit more light on the situation ^_^

Also...after a quick rummage through my SteamApps folder, I found the actual Awakening file in the AddIns folder:

C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\Dragon Age Ultimate Edition\\Addins\\dao_prc_ep_1

But I don't know what to do with it...as I said, I'm still very new to this :pinched:

OKAY!

Finally got it working now, so sorry for the hiccup but I finally fixed it. Using my "Restore previous versions" of the Addin.xml seemed to find the code for Awakening again.

Also, this is a pretty helpful thread which quotes the coding used for Awakening (if you open the AddIns.xml file in Wordpad or something similar):

http://forums.steamp...d.php?t=2114893

If you copy and paste it into the Addins.xml file, it should make the DLC available again (just don't be stupid like me and delete the other DLC's from the file...)
