Think of it as more as a guideline. Line arts rarely translate well into 3D (especially U3), and that was, for all intents and purposes, a concept piece. The biggest differences I see are that she looks her age (which is a good thing), her eyes are lighter, and her hair is auburn instead of fiery red. The last is likely because lighting with dark hair is easier; that sort of bright orange has the potential to look odd with hi-res hair.

Umm, I have to disagree on that. Her hair looks right. Her nose looks right. Her mouth looks right. Her eyes may be a bit big. But hey, you can always recreate her in CC right?

The difference that sticks out most for me is that it seems in the trailer her cheekbones are much wider than in the  previous photos. It startled me at first since, at certain angles, it gives her face a completely different shape.  I'm experiencing far too much squee for me to care that she looks a bit different than how I had her pictured and I still planning on using her for my unroleplayed Jane.

Yeah, it isn't a big deal for me...I didn't plan on using her anyways.

pretty sure its maleshep. I'm guessing they wanted to show Miranda, but didn't have femshep footage, and since maleshep is barely visible there, they just used those screens.

/shrug, I don't mind, I'm just happy to see the squadmates and the trailer in general

The thing with negativity is that it shouldn't take presedence over other people's enjoyment of something, and if you don't like it then don't bash it while a slew of people are.
I can understand you might be frustrated, but then complaints would not be productive nor constructive here, when we're as excited as we are. Asmuch as we care about your opinion, or anyone's opinion, you should care that someone else is hyped, and not try and kill the buzz. Bioware is a company, but we are not.
And exactly that is what should be remembered when entering a fanthread with a negative opinion.
Respect our enjoyment, don't break it, you'd hate it if people would do it to you about something you're excited about and waited ages for.

This isn't just directed at you, this is why we respond to certain negativity the way we do.
The same with the 'manshep sucks femshep rocks' responces, or the 'kaidan's dead in my playthrough, he can suck it' remarks. It doesn't ADD anything, it takes away. Negativity gains nobody anything, it just has potential to take away.

Yeah that looks like Sheploo to me, though it is hard to see, but he is missing Kaidan's signature hair. It seems to be a oversight. Its not like that scene last less than a second.

Red, I think it's funny Sheploo is in there.  In my head it's like infiltrator Shep heard all the joyful commotion, cloaked,  and just wanted in on the fun.  "Hell Sheploo, grab a plate of food and a drink and join the party."

Damn, I overslept... but... EEEEEEEEH, the Trailer was freaking awesome, loved every second of it, and the default looks gorgeous, i'll definetely do at least one playthrough with her

Also, it was nice to see a few of the old faces from ME2 & ME1, including Kaidan
The music gave me goosebumps, and so did Shep's last line.
