Yeah, there are a few people who are complaining about the new FemShep face model, saying that the face textures look too plastic, and there's too much makeup, that she looks cartoony or whatever.  Not a pretty sight. 

I'm not in love with the new default, but I (personal opinon) like it alot better than the original Jane 1.0, and I plan on a default femshep ME3 playthrough at some point.

It's still better than most of the squadmate threads, blah, blah, character x is not exactly what I think they should be so they conform to mental nonsense I play out. That seems more antagonistic than I meant it.

Exactly  but then again  if you  have been around here long enough you'll notice that  the ones complaining are the  same ones that complain about EVERYTHING. They turn everything in a complete **** fest  in almost everyt thread that they have interest in.

Yep. From what I have seen so far, media response to the trailer has been extremely positive. Comments like this one on GameRant are easy to find today:

Great trailer! Worth the wait lol. I also am not a fan of the default face simply because I feel like she's got too much makeup on, but I love love the freckles and the face looks like it's animated so much better now.

Complaining about how she looks as if the game were a fashion model simulator when you can make your femshep look however you want pretty much.  Yup, the internet at work most definitely.  I for one am amazed and blown away at how awesome and epic the femshep trailer is.  I stepped away from the ME2 playthrough I'm in right now to look at the forums.  As a bonus, my primary femshep is a redhead like in the trailer!  So kool!!!!

Whoa! Now I'm a bit scared (or exited, I can't say for sure)! I do wonder how my Shep ends up looking like. It looks like they did more than just hair adjustments.

Also, I don't really get the femShep look whines. If you don't like it just don't use it. Problem solved.

OT but I had time to set up my "Glorified Blu-ray player" and test Uncharted 3 (blurry cam shot) with my old display. I so feel your pain, console gamers. Textures are low quality, Blu-ray drive makes noise pollution, resolution is bad (upscaled 720p - at least it's 720p but still looks bad on 1080p screen, jaggies everywhere) and obviously framerate is pretty poor 30 FPS. Not smooth enough.

Also, ärräryh!, there's no ME2 demo in playstation store.

This actually has me worried.  The ME3 custom femShep looks nothing like the ME2 femShep built off the same face code.  The hairstyle doesn't even part on the same side.  The eyes and mouth are a different shape, the lips are a different color...

Using an imported character in ME2 had enough changes already.  They were very subtle, but they were there.  Not enough to alter the entire look of the face, but enough to make something feel "off".  This, though, this is drastic.  I'm hoping it's just the low-quality phone camera that is responsible for this.

Watched the trailer a couple of times and really enjoyed it. Nice to finally see Jane in all her glory, and kicking arse. I now can't wait to get hold of the demo on Tuesday and see what my own Shepard looks like in the new engine.

@Tup: You don't like the PS3, we get it, but could you go bang your drum else where? You're hatred of games consoles isn't exactly femshep related.

Yeah, me too.  The hairstyle looks more like the bob, and the eyes look a LOT rounder.

hops in to squee about the trailer. did I squee here yet? I cannot remember, in too much of a happiness haze today.

default femshep is... well, I haven't played default before and she hasn't changed my mind, but she does just fine as a poster girl. juuuust fine

and we got to see squadmates. and we got to see her being badass. what's not to love?

and all these news made me pretty much abandon SWTOR temporarily while I geek out on Mass Effect. can't wait for Tuesday.

P.S. I like it that the hair looks softer and textures in general seem to blend better. after the drastic changes to hair from ME1 to ME2... /shrugs.. I'm sure modders will figure out soon enough how to extract npc hair, change colors, etc.

Can someone with Twitter ask someone at Bioware about the ability to change our imported saves Shepard's maybe? I know they were asked that once before, answering that you can, but that was back in September. I wanna make sure that nothing has changed in that regard.
