Some of the changes are drastic, though.

There's looking "better" and there's looking "different", and somehow, some characters look much different than their previous incarnations while others look spot-on. They must have changed the slider order for some of the features. At least, I'm hoping that's all that happened. Otherwise, some people will be stuck with characters that are irretrievably altered.

Call me anal, or psychotic, or whatever you like, but I will have difficulty actually playing the game if that happens to Jessica.

It could very well be like I said over and over that imports could be different from just inputting a face code.

Eyes and mouth are both a different shape.  Don't even get me started on the cheekbones and jawline.

I'm all for improving textures, but not for changing the actual features. Even subtle differences will make the character look like a different person.

So far, I'm seriously unhappy with what I've seen of the CC.  The "improvements" so far will all negatively impact my character... the part in her hair will be mirrored and her mouth will be a different shape.  I doubt she'll even look like the same person.

Oh gosh. Don't tell me they did something to eye option 8 (I think, you know the second to last one? The one that's most chosen?) !!!! :crying:

Hopefully direct imports will look correct - from what a dev told me on twitter, ME3 just looks at the saved data rather than just the code... which makes sense.

Thanks! I actually like the CC better in this game now. I could never make anything good before, now I can. Sure using my old facecode the old Kallien looked like crap, but luckily I was able to make this, and I love her.

That's what I'd like to know - has anyone checked to see if it's been re-positioned on the slider?

Thanks! Considering that I have managed to pull only one Shep through the CC I can't say that I would know what others think of her. :D

I wanted to take a deeper look, managed to dig some rather matching ME1 shots.

To be honest, CC shots are always a bit derpy for some reason (lighting?). But anyway, eyebrows should be brown. Now they look black. Also, it looks like the texture quality is worse (eyebrows, lips, skin; especially when compared to ME2, which had better skin textures) than even in ME1 - Sure, not a fair comparison (PC vs. xbox) but still.

It actually looks very similar face structure wise and all. It's clearly the eyes that make the difference. They seem to lack eye shadow completely. Can anyone post the eye shadows? It take time to get used to that but like I've said before, I really need to see her in action. I so try to get flycam to work as soon as I get the demo.

Did you try changing the eyes entirely?  Aside from the lack of eye shadow, the eyes don't quite look the same shape.  In ME2, some eyes would do this to eye shadow.

Also, you could try creating that Shep new game +'ing that Shep in ME1's and ME2's CCs without any eye shadow and comparing those with the ME3 one too.

F1ir3storm provided the ME3 shots, so I can't test anything myself. It could be that the old code doesn't match correctly in ME3.

I dunno... The structure looks pretty similar to me, lips too. Eyes look different maybe it's the eye liner/shadow or maybe it's the shape. I can't be 100% sure... Well, so far the only texture improvement is the hair.

ME2 side shot (note: ME3 shot lacks blush completely, it is deliberate - I had to tone down ME2 blush because it was way too strong compared to ME1):

I'm very happy and excited the FemShep trailer has finally released!  I really like her new look, and Jennifer Hale's voice over made the trailer epic!  It was nice to see some familiar faces as well.

I'm glad all the hard work has finally paid off.  Congratulations FemShep fans!

<3<3<3<3:O:O:O:wizard::wizard::wizard:

Now for my ranty thing:

I see there are people who already have access to the singelplayer demo that play XBox.  No offense, but I'm really miffed about this.  What exactly was the point of giving out early access to JUST MULTIPLAYER with BF3, if they are giving out even earlier access to console players?

What a bunch of crap.  Once again, playing on the PC gets me shafted when it comes to this sort of thing.  Pretty much almost completely killed my excitement for the 14th/17th.

Yay.  I get to play it after a whole bunch of people already have.  *weak-*ss cheer*

EDIT:  Ok, Singleplayer.  Doesn't make me any less pissed off.

How could they do this to the PC Master gaming race?! *Turns over keyboard*

Oh well, I guess they are really trying to market the Xbox Kinect. Grats xbox players. And everyone Shepard looks just stunning! Can't wait to see mine!

Oh wait, I have an xbox too.

Well, I'm still looking forward to the PC demo.  Hopefully Teagan can get her eyeliner out of Alliance impound.

My first couple femsheps didn't look good in the demo cutscene footage but in my 3rd run I was pretty happy. Will keep experimenting. Just like in the other 2 games, it takes a lot of fine tuning it seems to get one with the right proportions and features.

(I just said this in the Kaidan thread, but feel it's more suitable here)

I'm just getting annoyed at Bioware and hair to be quite honest, and there comes a point when I'm sure it's somewhat illegal to advertise the way they do. I mean, I swear I read more than once that Bioware was advertising new long hair options for Shepard which clearly hasn't made the final product..

I know it's not overly a big deal and I'm sure I'm gunna get beaten down for this, but why oh why can Bioware never introduce long(note: long being longer than shoulder length) hair. Full stop. It doesn't even need to look good. I mean, both Dragon Age games was equally as bad, and I think it's ridiculous that mods are normally 100% better than the original hair (and I have a friend who designed a long, curly hair mod, which I should say looked 100% better than the original hair styles, for DA:O in the space of a few hours, so while I myself could never comprehend designing a mod, I'm going to assume it's not that taxing on resources).

Not to mention, they've completely been counter productive and shot themselves in the foot. Judging by the overwhelming majority on the forums, no-one likes the new bun hairstyles. So they've actually reduced the already terrible selection of hair..

And what's worse is I continually get NPC/companions mocking me with nice looking hair. I get that Mirandas' hair was actually part of her model, but would it have been so difficult to take that one step further and create it for Shepard? I mean, really? And now Ashley/Diana too..

Sorry for the rant, but it's just so frustrating and a continual problem with Bioware in my honest opinion. :/

I think they reduced the amount they put into the demo. There was a lot of stuff missing in the demo, like the upgrade desk thingy. The second mission was totally cut up compared to the videos we've seen. I think more hair styles will be in the full game. I really don't think it's that important, but I guess I shouldn't say that since the hairstyle for Rylie turned out really great and I'm just lucky.

Well, I don't have screenies, but, I just played the demo through with Tanj and she looks frickin' awesome! The straight ME2 code worked perfectly. Looking forward to posting pics on Tuesday.

Tanj: "Do I get my beret?"
Posted Image

No, Tanj, sorry.

Tanj: "What was that?"

You still get to burn things, Tanj.

Tanj: "Sweet."

Well, I hope that's true. However someone mentioned in the Kaidan thread that he mailed a Dev and the Dev replied with something along the lines of 'I haven't seen the demo but I'm pretty sure the hair in it is final'.

My Shepards hair got screwed over and was not replaced by amazingly beautiful hair. ¬_¬'..

/tries to get over it. :crying:

Buzzcut Shep and short hair Shep seem to transfer the most accurately through the games, IMO. It's amazing how much hair can influence how a face looks.
