I agree with this.  I'm noticing a tendency for it to just be a big circle jerk of the same Shepards over and over again, namely the ones from the "inner circle" that formed in the old FemShep thread.  I mean, whatever, it's a free forum so I guess you can post what you want, but it seems... exclusive.  Eh, whatever, not gonna get into that debate again.

Then again, the only Shepards I care about are mine and those of my personal friends.

Yeah, that attitude is really going to make things change for you.

I'm glad some people enjoy my Shepards.  I'm honored and humbled by your kind words.

Well, to be perfectly honest, if you exclude your own top 5, as is your choice, you help to perpetuate that fallacy. And perhaps deprive some of your friends of some well meaning kudos in the face of that so-called "inner circle" you are so leery of. *shrugs*

What

Not playing favorites with a select few Femsheps is as bad as playing favorites??????

I'm out of here.  Crazy people.

lol you know, some people just read what they want to read, take offence and really all they're hurting with it are themselves. Crazy? Whatever, really. Go by all means, if this is what you're bringing to this thread. Miserable, really.

And it's funny Rinj, you posted your shep and I commented on her, because I don't believe in grudges and I'd actually like to believe you're not aiming for mischief. But then you go ahead and do anyways. Shame you had to prove me wrong.

Not when it's the same Shepards every single time.  I realize it's a busy thread, but I'm just a bit sad that the trend of newer and less-known Shepard being ignored in favor of pic spams of the same ones from the old thread is being perpetuated.

I realize it's a busy thread and that posts get overlooked, but let's at least PRETEND to care about Shepards who don't belong to those of our personal friends.  (My comment about only caring about those Shepards was supposed to be a catty remark on the posting tendencies of the thread, but apparently it was too subtle.)

Anyway, not gonna disprove that I'm narcissistic and uppity, since those are basically true and I am nothing if not self-critical, so I will go ahead and bump some of my bros' Shepards:

well - iconic Shepards are iconic in so many people's eyes for a reason... being the ones posted the most by the most active members they stick in the memory the most.

that said, I'll be all narcissistic and stuff and just say i like my own Shepards best

I'm not taking part of the hypocrisy and groupthinking in this thread, that's all.  Nice you thought of me, though.

My batty old grandma used to say, "cut off your nose to spite your face." I never really got that - often confusing it with that line from the nursery rhyme. I've always had much respect for your CC skills, as evidenced by your Shepards - your avatar being at the top of that list - and am saddened to see how someone could indeed spite their face. You will be missed, your jumping to conclusions won't.

As you may or may not have noticed the 'active memberbase' in the ME3 thread has expanded and diversified. You're pulling an issue you phantomed up ages ago into a new thread because you apparently felt like creating an issue where there was NONE. And that goes for you too leggy. Get over yourselves.

Spiral of Silence:
The theory asserts that a person is less likely to voice an opinion on a topic if one feels that one is in the minority for fear of reprisal or isolation from the majority.

err...what?

There are lots and lots of iconic Shepard's here and to be honest, making top 5 list is impossible to me.

Um.

I pointed out how ridiculous your statement about picking out a top 5 for Femsheps was.  Which, by the way, is still a ridiculous and awful thing to say.

This (except my Shepard is the best Shepard, of course).

The most prolific posters tend to post free cam and/or modded screenshots that are interesting, and people respond to that.  I think they aren't purposely trying to make others feel uncomfortable or alienated in the thread, just because they post more.

That being said, I don't think a competition is a good idea, because of the conflict it's already spawning.

Woo, throw around them fancy psychology terms some more.  It's sexy.

This isn't a spiral of silence.  If you come into a thread and be outwardly rude, how would you expect people to react? Positively?  Supportively?  I would call it disruptive behavior more than anything else.

Anyway, we need to chillax and get back on topic:

Wait what

I posted a picture of my femshep to share because I love femshep.  Then some jerkface said that picking a top 5 is somehow preferrable to not picking a top 5 because "not giving friends kudos" or something ridiculous like that, what the heck are these "issues I phantomed up ages ago?"  Who's holding grudges here?

And yet this "inner circle" that you're getting all excited over are only doing exactly what you state in your last sentence. Listing the Shepards of people they are friends with.

@General Distress: I can do your main (or whichever) for you if you want, but it might take me a bit heh cause I'd not get round to it till tomorrow (monday). Send me a pm if you want. I've done it before, and last quite recently so it'd prolly take me less time.

Thanks for the offer but it's really not that important. :)
Day after tomorrow i'll be happy playing the demo, no matter the face.
