I don't think of any particular femsheps as "iconic" frankly, not even my own. You want a poster girl or sheploo equivalent, it sounds like. Eh. That's not what we do.

Better to ask, what are your five most memorable femsheps, or your five favorite, or maybe just the five best-looking. I think people would have more ready answers.

you know... speaking of personal Shepards and i hope you don't mind the crossover art, but... this must be Shared. DragonReine painted this for me, as an art trade - the lady on the left is one of my canon Shepards /squeees. (am i trying to change the subject? not really. just, well.. meh? I guess since i got some very lovely comments on my Johari, I don't feel ignored :P )

And yet this "inner circle" that you're getting all excited over are only doing exactly what you state in your last sentence. Listing the Shepards of people they are friends with.

So they're only your top five femsheps because you're friends with the creators.

OH BOY it sure is high school in here

The 'core' of this thread are the people that will be first to help you out and answer your questions, that doesn't mean we're here to get taken up the ass by random strangers that don't get what it means to care about one another.

well - iconic Shepards are iconic in so many people's eyes for a reason... being the ones posted the most by the most active members they stick in the memory the most.

that said, I'll be all narcissistic and stuff and just say i like my own Shepards best

I can see why. She rocks that green armour. Image IPB

This 'inner circle' crap is invalid since the entire femshep community is the circle. That includes everyone who posts here once a month or once an hour. Newcomers have been and always will be welcome. This is ridiculous, we try to say something nice about other peoples Shepards and this fact is ignored for the belief that we are a small group that just sits around congratulating each other. I'm so sorry Leggy and Rinji that many of us are friends here. Maybe if there was little less finger pointing you would welcome too.

@jeweledleah,
I seen that on deviantart. Very nice!!

Did you see me post a top five? If you did point me to it.

And it stands to reason that the Shepards you see more frequently and have a bigger attachment to are those of your friends. Complaining about "inner circles" and other crap is pointless and just stirs up trouble. If someone wants to list Shepards that they like, and whom happen to belong to their friends, what does it matter to you? If you don't approve or think it's pointless then simply ignore it.

why, thank you  /preens

what, I did say I was going to be all narcissistic and stuff B)

as for inner circle deal.. sure some people are closer to each other then to others, its unavoidable.  it only becomes an issue IMO, when others are deliberately and visibly excluded and/or put down just for being there.  I'm not actualy part of that closer circle.  and I'm personaly fine with it.  as long as I can come in, share my Shepards, join an occasional discussion, its all good.

@ Red, isn't Reine awesome?

On the subject of a top 5:

You (general you, not anyone in particular) can argue that making a top 5 is going to bring up a group of around ten Shepards and basically repeat those ad infinium, and I'm not going to deny that.  However, this may actually be because the others who are more "looked over" don't seem to post here anymore.

For example, my top five includes

Shenzi's Kate

Image IPB

Yukidama's Adele

Image IPB

Mr. Vakarian's Maddy

http://desmond.image....jpg&res=medium

The thing about these Shepards is that their creators don't post them anymore for whatever reason.  Maybe the reason Shepards are repeated is (besides that they're well designed) because they have the better PR department?

Besides this, everyone has there own reason for picking who they pick, and calling somebody's reasons self-serving or exclusive doesn't make their reasons any less valid because they are THEIRS.

I love Sage's Kyrie.

Image IPB

She basically made Femshep my favorite videogame character all by herself.  But does this mean I want to exclude those who post less often?  Hell no!  I don't always have time to hang out here and comment on every single Shepard to get a screenshot or cell phone picture, but that doesn't mean I don't want to.  This is a thread of peace, love, war, death, and Femshep.

Oh, and for the record, my #5 is EVERYONE ELSE.  Judge me. =]

Not that my question was ever meant as one. I merely wished to have people make the day of five others (the five being a cut off point for brevity sake, not out of malice). But, the best laid plans of mice and men... *shakes head*

Clumsily swipe at my attractiveness as you attempt to talk down at me some more, it makes it easier for me to look up your skirt from that angle.

This isn't a spiral of silence.  If you come intro a thread and be outwardly rude, how would you expect people to react? Positively?  Supportively?  I would call it disruptive behavior more than anything else.

The Femshep thread's definition of "rude" is hilariously broad.  That you categorize disagreement as disruption is typical of this thread - among many others with established cliques - and is precisely what I was referring to with my post.

In any case, enjoy the bonding experience these rude disagreements are providing.

Ideas are always best when people don't get involved to rip them out of context and meaning hmm.

@Amieera: That second pic is cool, i just love the expressiveness I've seen sofar from the screens in ME3 =)

*sigh* And then PM Detritus and his trusty ballista along for the lulz.

I'm seeing more and more evidence of an expressive Shepard in ME3. It makes me wanna cancel my pre-order, damnit! Oops, was caught up in the negativity there for a minute. Image IPB

Poor, sad Shepard. Motivation to chew red tobacco and kick some arse. And red tobacco is illegal outside the terminus systems.

Wrex is never off topic!
