I might have completely missed the point? I've been trying to follow the continuous reposting and commenting on this piece. But if people are going to comment on sexualisation of Femshep when someone decides to portray their OWN Shepard a certain way, I call bull****.
Honestly, either STFU or comment on the artistic merrit of the piece if you have nothing better to say, because it's hardly disputable it's a solid piece.

While you might have a remote point, it's also completely irrelevant and it's frankly disrespectful to the artist and the effort they put into the piece.

Not really caught up in the conversations but I'd just like to express how EXCITED I am for the demo! Mostly for the CC, to be honest. xD I can't wait to see what things they added/changed (has anyone with early access taken screens of the CC?), and, well, just seeing what my femShep would look like.

Well now you're just being defensive.

I never denied the quality of the artwork, yes it is good, and obviously the person who made it is talented, it's just people are critical of a bishoujo Femshep statue due to the fact that it's just going to sexualise her (if that Liara abomination is anything to go by) despite the fact that some of these very people sexualise her themselves anyway.

And telling people to shut the f*ck up or comment on how good it is, well that's just rude and immature.

"Civilian wear" would be a bit better description methinks. That's not casual wear, not with those shoes.  Looks kind of like a modified version of the dress Kasumi picks up for Shepard on their little infiltration mission.

Except that piece displays a realistic, businesslike, and obviously competent Commander Shepard of the proper age that is sexy without being sexualized.  There's a critical difference.  This Shepard is sexy because of the character traits exhibited and the casual situation she's in, not because she is purposefully displaying herself.  It's a very good piece of art depicting Shepard in an intimate light, not a sexual one.

Bishoujo exhibits characters as highly exaggerated, juvenile versions of themselves with unrealistic features and with their sexual characteristics on prominent display as the focus of the piece.  Liara squishing her breasts together (something she never has done and, if she remains consistent to her character, never would do) in her bishoujo statue is a perfect demonstration of this.

Frankly I'm having trouble figuring out how people cannot tell the difference.  I think they're just being dense on purpose.

No. The fact that you don't want anyone to lay even the slightest bit of criticism about the artwork is immature. What makes it more immature is that nobody even criticised the picture itself, rather it was simply used to illustrate a point.

Maybe you should look beyond your own motivations and leave it alone.

Wow... Multiplayer is actually fun though. But it need a lot of people playing to be fun ( at least 3 a team) I can't wait for 17th so that I'd see more people. And cooldown in Multiplayer is a lot less than in single player.
