Breyant I think that hairstyle was my least favorite in ME1 and 2. Now I think it's become my favorite.

Hope Shephard
Soldier/Earthborn/Sole Survivor
Jack Bauer Paragon (Compassionate but will do unspeakable things to the enemy to get the mission done including torture if necessary).
Hope was born in Tokyo to a Japanese mother and American father but was raised in Birmingham, Alabama. Was orphaned at 12 and mostly raised herself, running with gangs by 14. Had a life changing "moment of clarity" at 17 when her boyfriend (a non gang member and honor student) was cut down by a bullet meant for her.
While she had committed crimes including murder (not innocents but armed combatants during gang warfare), she had never been convicted. This bit of good fortune (a clean record) allowed her to turn her life around via the Alliance and the educational opportunities it presented.

I'm not sure the face code totally "worked" for Mass Effect 3. I look forward to the proper import. In the meantime, Hope visited the hair stylist.

As I mentioned yesterday, Tup3xi's char inspired me to start a new one (go face structure nine!) in ME1. I'm going to play her with the intention of finishing the playthrough shortly before midnight when I run to gamestop to pick up ME3. She will be the first I load, even before my cannon Shep.
I'll post pics of the playthrough right up until March 6. Why? I have no idea. Just because.

To be honest, I really don't care for the new "ME3 default" Jane either.... I think they went a tad overboard on the textures (her eyeshadow makes her look rather raccoonish in comparision to the new subtle eyeshadows of the custom faces), plus the decision to not base her face off a real-life model like with the male Sheploo I think was a bad choice, because her geometry looks "exaggerated" now (her jaw is frankly too big, which when coupled with the incredibly thin neck makes her face/head look larger than it actually is, almost creating a "caricature" appearance).Raizo wrote...
Well, I am a little bit disappointed in the 'new' default female Shepard. The hair looks nothing like it did in the official artwork, the freckles stand out too much, her lips look very pink ( it looks like she is wearing lipstick ) and she always seems to be smiling or smirking, what every happened to that fierce, determined expression that she had in the official artwork.
Looks like a custom female Shepard is the way to go in ME3 although I was disappointed in Character Creator for ME3 in general ( I was hoping for more new hairstyles for female Shepard and I was hoping we could use the hairstyle from the 'new' default female Shepard in the CC but alas we can't in the demo ).
If all of this sounds too negative then I will admit that the 'new' default female Shepard looks alot better in the game than she does when you select her face in the Character creator.
But that's just my opinion - I'm just super-grateful that our custom FemShep all seem to look better than ever in ME3.

Great looking Shepard ( i can see the asian ascend ); I particularly like her bio: concise, detailed and very realistic. Really set the ground for how her story will unfold. Looking forward to hearing more about her.Demonhoopa wrote...
As I have mentioned several times, I have a bunch of Femsheps (Fiona, Rhynne, Gwen, Max, Jinx, Sam, etc etc). But believe it or not I do have a cannon Shephard and she is my favorite. Since I've imposed myself on all of you since discovering this thread, I figure it's time to share my cannon Shephard and pic bomb you.

Haha, seems that haircut is getting a lot of mileage. I swapped my Shep to the short haircut too, I don't like how neat and hairsprayed the others ended up looking
I totally agree on your viewpoint of the other hairstyles because I have the same one. Personally I preferred the shoulder length hairstyle in me2, but seeing it now in me3- it looks too neat for a soldier, and ....whats a word im looking for....."poofy[?]" on the ends. Im considering changing my sheps hairstyle to another. Then again, at the same time I do prefer longer hair, so maybe itll just take time to grow on me.

I thought it was just me, too! I ran my character through the demo with the brightest and second brightest blonde hair and compared them to my ME2 screenshots. IMO, the second blond hair color is a bit closer to the ME2 shots (in both bright lights and shaded areas) than the lightest blonde version. Just flows better overall while the brightest blonde could really distract me in some scenes. Seemed a bit overkill at times.sagequeen wrote...
I like the new haircuts SO much. Even so, I'm thinking I'll be keeping the bob - part change and all.
Though I feel like there are more shades of blonde now. Is that right? Seemed so. the uber-light blonde looks a little too light now. but maybe that's me. maybe instead of going gray, i'll darken it just a shade.
Edit: A good example is look at the screenshot of your ME3 character standing with Kaidan and look at your avatar. Your avatar's hair has warmer tones in comparison so it would not be inconsistent if you decided to use the second blonde color instead.
Quick question for anyone that knows (I've been out of the loop): Any rough ideas on how much time passed between end of ME2 and start of ME3? Like it was two years between ME1 and 2. I just wasn't sure if it was a mere matter of months this time.

I can't exactly remember it now but ME3 happens in 2186, i think it was like 6 months after Arrival.
It's probably been tweeted by a Bioware dev.

Yep yep. This is true. Though to be more accurate - someone in BW: B/w Casey or Weekes, mentioned it takes place 6months to a 1yr after the events of me2 [hence Arrival dlc]. I know it was at a convention when it was mentioned also. Id like to think the latter. A year seems too far offCrazyRah wrote...

Meh. I do not like that site, but then, I had large chunks of my fanfiction ripped off, mashed up with sialater's fiction, and then added sex scenes to and passed off as someone elses. It took a while for that site to finally deal with the plagarist. I guess I shouldn't judge a whole site for that one incident but... I do.

Well, there are people and there are bastards. Happens everywhere, and I can't blame you for wanting to keep your distance. The problem is, it's all anonymous over there. But I remember that incident and I really can't blame you for getting pissed off. But I also can tell you, it can be fun. Most people there are very protective of their own, and the site's, integrity. Such as it is.sagequeen wrote...

Regarding standard issue questions, how the blazes does one manage a screencap on the pc and where does it go? I'm trying to get a picture of my Shep up, and the camera is annoying me.

I was going to say, she looks like my mother as a younger woman! Too bad I can't recreate this on my Xbox, because it requires modified textures, right? Anyway, I think she's gorgeous.
Thanks

You can't! Despite the Screenshots catalogue, you can't do screenies.Hadeedak wrote...

You can, however, download Fraps. In its free version, it'll only be in .bmp, but still, screenshots.
I tried using Xfire, but it doesn't see ME3 demo so I can't use it to screencap or film it.
