@ gilsa. darker look is more intense. i'm a fan of blonde, myself, tho - and i haven't changed a blinkin' thing since game 1. but i really think it's about getting shep to look 'right' in animations. that's what i aim for. whatever 'right' is for you.

Well I need to finish my canon manShep run (almost there, just had the crew abducted, so it's a final conversation with all the squad before sad/sweet 'sexy time' with Jack and then O4 and beyond).sagequeen wrote...

I also split my Kassia (who is already finished) run off into an Anje file, using gibbed to change face and name, from a savefile where she was about 2/3 through the LMs. She'll be able to romance Jacob and her path will diverge a little more into 'Cerberus stooge' territory. Its a bit disconcerting having Hale voice an african Shepard, or I suppose any non-caucasian femShep, but I'll get used to it I'm sure.
And since I've never done it, I have also split my manShep game off into a Miranda romance that won't be imported, but to see the pre-O4 love scene. With that one I just need to do the Legion LM and the Joker hobble.
I might buy and play some Kingdoms of Amalur, or just take a break from the forums and PC gaming for whatever time is left after that.
***
I finally installed the demo, and did three runs. The game is gorgeous looking, but takes getting used to (both combat and animation wise). I have some reservations, peeves and dislikes, enough to still not pre-order it. And by "it" I mean the regular game; the N7 edition was never in the running for my cash. I'm getting the game though, just probably not day one.

Also, thanks to all who gave opinions on Arrival.

@Eshaye--Celyn is rocking that bob!
@Raziel--Gianna looks really nice! Very homogenous/harmonious features and coloring.
@Shotgun-Shepard--Very nice! She actually reminds me of someone I know--not the coloring, but the facial features and bearing.

I wonder if they should make a poll on how many Renegade Femsheps there are versus how many Paragon Femsheps there are.
Some of the Renegade lines in Mass Effect 2 really fit the Femshep more, and there are some Renegade interrupts that were only available to Femshep. (No spoilers).
Is that really true? I never played a male Renegade, so I wouldn't know... if that's so, which ones are they? You've got me really curious here!
sagequeen wrote...
In all seriousness, though, this is part of why I like playing as FemShep. The overly sexualized outfits bother me a LOT less if my FemShep is in there dressed practically. I can assume all the other gals are just - I dunno - got a deal on high heels at the Illium Neman Marcus Outlet or something.
*lol* Yeah, I feel this way, too. At least in ME3, Liara is wearing those nice practical flat heels. The Miranda heels were just so egregious. (Not her hair. Still want to steal her hair. And it looks like Ash's actual ME3 armor will be nice and practical, too:

One of the problems I was having w/ ME3 was the black hair was just blending into the black background. I tried the blue-black or whatever it is and it helped a bit, but still blended in too much for me. Solution, let UJ go prematurely grey. It adds much needed contrast and tells a story to boot. She's been through a lot (as all Shepards have).
Well, Shepard is what, 31, 32 in ME3? While my hair hasn't yet, my beard has been graying since 35, and I've not had to face anything Shepard has.
Exactly--with the stress Shepard goes through in life, it makes perfect sense. I was considering doing the same for Eowyn as well, and now that I've seen it on UJ I think it seems like a good idea. That sharp black is just too flat, and worrying about the Reapers and impending doom, it makes a lot of sense that it would take a toll. The brown looks less flat than the black, but I like the idea of the stress getting to Shepard enough to affect her body. It's realistic. I like being able to tell a story with the visuals in the CC, and this is part of it.

Yeah, I mean, my Shep had the same hair for two whole games. The style was practical and cute (even as crunchy as it looked, lmfao). I dunno, it just felt right for my character, it suited her face and personality. It wasn't super straight laced but wasn't anything wild either. The upgrade it got made it too... neat. I don't really know how to explain it well, but the style looked more playful and spontaneous before where now it looks like she just walked out of a salon.
...
The short hairstyle retains the playfulness that I loved and is even more practical, so I really like it. Madelene looks kinda androgynous now, which isn't an unwanted effect. I think she looks kinda handsome now.
This was my solution when I tried to recreate Ryla, as well. I think she and Maddy should have go have a beer together.

I just wish I could make her skin tone darker. You can go really pale; I'd like to go really dark as well, or at least a shade or two darker.
AVPen wrote...
Don't get me wrong, I do like that new shorter hairstyle, but I still really like the "classy" style and a shorter cut doesn't reflect Diana's personality as much as a longer one does, in my opinion
Yeah, I feel the same about Eowyn. I just thought of her as the type who doesn't bother to keep her hair nicely trimmed, she just goes through her routine and forgets about it as long as it's not annoying her while she's trying to shoot things; very pragmatic like that, no real hair-cutting skill, while others of mine I think would be able to just get out the scissors and snip at it. Particularly Tricia; she's very efficient, but her bun serves the purpose already.
If I didn't like that short hairstyle so much now, I would probably have just had Ryla shave her head. I think she'd look pretty badass that way. Hell, I'll probably do a bald FemShep sometime--I want to see if I can make one that rocks it.

Meh. I do not like that site, but then, I had large chunks of my fanfiction ripped off, mashed up with sialater's fiction, and then added sex scenes to and passed off as someone elses. It took a while for that site to finally deal with the plagarist. I guess I shouldn't judge a whole site for that one incident but... I do. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/sideways.png[/smilie]
Oh, that sucks... :/ Was it the one about the color of Shepard's panties? (Xanth reference?) Because I loved that one! It made me giggle, mostly because it was a little bit naughty but kept her completely in character. (I can't imagine any FemShep agreeing to pose in tiny black lace undies for an ad; it's just so lame, she's above that. But a red tank top and shorts? I don't see why not.)
Also, the thought of Conrad Verner seeing her in slinky black lingerie would keep her from going through with it if nothing else...
sagequeen wrote...
Arrival is shorter, yes, and predictable. Yes it's somewhat railroaded, but I don't think the railroading is weird. It's not like you could or would choose differently. It's more like a mission that you go on ends up snowballing and you can't stop it. No one could - not even Shepard.
...
I guess what I like about it is that ever since the Virmire/Ilos revelations about the Reapers, I felt like Shepard got WAY sidetracked. Council, Alliance, even Cerberus and the Collectors felt like these distractions from getting more intel about the Reapers and how to stop them. And while Arrival doesn't give you a lot, it IS a return to that theme of 'the Reapers are coming.'
I also really loved how it sets up ME3 and the anti-hero undertones that it gives to Shepard's character.
Couldn't agree with you more.

- Redoing the ending of ME2 with my engineer... the Suicide Mission + whatever DLC and N7 missions I didn't do before it... so I can, erm, correct a few things for my ME3 playthrough after reading leak spoilers. >
- Playing some demo multiplayer
Speaking of the multiplayer, for those of you with multiple Shepards, is anyone playing a human female and pretending that she's one of your alternate Sheps? I've been playing a sentinel and pretending that she's my non-canon spacer, Tess.

I have a question about head morphs... I know I've seen methods for this discussed around the forums, but I was trying to figure out how to translate a head morph on the xbox 360 into a code (without modding your xbox to get to the underlying files).
I wanted to recreate my very first femshep from ME1 on the xbox 360 on my PC versions of the games. I've kind of successfully rebuilt my other two main femsheps just by matching her up, but this one first one I wanted to try and get exactly. I have her morphed into ME2 on the xbox already. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
If you can transfer a savefile onto a PC, which you';d have to to get a headmorph, you can extrapolate slider values out of gibbed. All the data is stored in the savefile. You just need a calculator to convert the raw data back to slider-positions.
Explained here.
Ah thnxoxox - Thats what I saw before I think, but couldn't dig it up. I actually just took another stab at it and recreated her again in ME1 and I think I got her this time.

There's the female-only renegade interrupt when you go talk to the merc recruiter at the start of Garrus' recruitment. But that's the only one I know of, all the others I've been able to trigger with a maleShep too.

I'm glad it's not just me that's noticed how pale the darkest skin tone seems to be! I think my Shepards (the ones whose facecodes I've used for the demo) seem to be paler over-all than they were in ME2. Most of them looked tanned in ME2, but when used in the demo, they all look pale. My black femShep, who has the darkest skin tone available, also looks much paler this time around. She seems to have gotten paler from ME1 through to 2, then the demo.
