@Kyrene, Filmgrain is set to true in Coalesced.bin by default. They don't have it in ME3 any more. One thing about minshadowresolution... Actually upping it from the default will disable some shadows. The only thing that matters is the maxshadowresolution.

Gotcha, and so edited.

OMG! She is absolutely breathtaking!

She looks a lot like my main Shepard, Pris, who coincidently is also infatuated with Garrus. <3
(who, in turn looks like my DA2 character/avatar ......yeah, they are distant relatives):D

Yeah. It made my Shep look like anaemic. It also made the brown hair look really dark if not black. Though, it could very well be that they changed the colour values. Imported Sheps probably have different colours.

I'm counting on it (whether it be just the lighting, color values, or both) being improved when I import Erin into ME3 because the lighting is naturally worse on the 360 so the poor girl always looks like death.

That and the lack of her actual hair color caused the demo to make me that much more impatient  to get the full game because I'm so excited to see how she'll actually turn out when I import her.

I actually created the mod for Laire, as I thought she didn't look enough like her old self with the dark lipcolour and the eyebrows the default is sporting, I'm quite pleased with how she ended up looking now:

I was wondering, which file is the one to apply the texmods on? I have the default config and nothing seems to change :(

I would love to answer your question if I understood what you meant, because your question plus the extra info you're giving just don't fit together.. so I'd prolly misunderstand your meaning and answer the wrong thing heh. Could you be more specific as to what you're trying to do?

Sure. When I open the texmod application it asks you for a specific .exe file to proceed, I'm guessing that specific .exe file is the one that will get modified and then changes will be perceived. Well, the point is I just selected the one in this location: Origin Games/Mass Effect 3 Demo/Binaries/Win32, which is simply named MassEffect3Demo.exe, and there are no significant changes.

I want to know what I'm doing wrong :c

The Origin client is screwing with the demo making it impossible to run TexMod in it's current state. Until someone manages to get the demo running without the Origin client, we're stuck. :crying:

Texmod doesn't work with ME3 due to it having to be launched via Origin, without a bit of trickery. You need to follow these steps to get it working:

1. Copy your Texmod exe into the folder where your MassEffect3Demo.exe is located (Default location is Program Files (x86)\\Origin Games\\Mass Effect 3 Demo\\Binaries\\Win32)
2. Rename your Texmod exe into MassEffect3Demo and the MassEffect3Demo into whatever name you please
3. Start Origin and click onto the Demo
4. It should load the Texmod exe
5. Go back to the folder where texmod and the ME3 demo.exe are and change both files back to their original names
6. Now go back to Texmod and browse the demo exe and run it along with your custom textures

Original instructions are here.

Thanks a lot Raziel, that would be awesome. Being an xbox/ps3 gamer i can't get quality pictures. I'll make sure i pm the face codes to you. Thanks again.
I might as well introduce some of my femshep:
Deirdre: my main Shep ( ME1 &2 defaulft face ) - colonist/sole survivor infiltrator/soldier - renegade profile ( notably in ME 1 ) mostly as a defense mechanism - but enjoy the company of her teammates and makes a point in avoiding civilians casualties. She was able to put most of her demons, if not behind but at least on a backburner and doesn't allow them  ( most of the time ) to cloud her judgement. By the end of ME2 she's split down the middle - p/r. She is single.
Kate: spacer/war hero soldier
Kate: earthborn/ruthless vanguard
Jane: colonist/war hero infiltrator
Katherine: colonist/sole survivor infiltrator
Siobhan: spacer/war hero adept
Dierdre K.: earthborn/ ruthless
Each has three M1 runs and two ME 2 runs - approximately - some have 4 runs while others just one.
And a couple of male Shep:
My main mshep is Kristian ( Sheploo face ) earthborn/ruthless soldier mostly paragon. Dated Ash then Miranda ( he'll be in trouble for that )
Derek: earthborn/war hero adept/vanguard.
I've lost the files for most of them - femshep/mshep - i'll have to do some digging although i pretty much remember all the face codes.Posted Image

I'm pretty wary of looking through other threads throughout this forum and I just want to know if James Vega is a possible love interest. If so, does anyone see their characters pursuing him?

You can run texmod with the demo. Someone explained how a couple of pages back.

What you want to do is go backup the exe file for the demo, then rename texmod.exe to MassEffect3Demo.exe and put it in ..\\Origin Games\\Mass Effect 3 Demo\\Binaries\\Win32 overwriting the original exe file. Then load the demo through Origin, origin will think it started the demo, but will have started up texmod. Now go back to ..\\Origin Games\\Mass Effect 3 Demo\\Binaries\\Win32 and name your texmod.exe back to the original name (yes while running) then copy the demo.exe back in that folder.

Go to texmod (still running) and select the demo.exe you just copied back in, select your packages and have a ball. You will have to repeat this action every time. Make sure you start the renamed texmod.exe file via Origin everytime or it will not work either.

Edit: ninya'd.

I want him with fiery passion. I think all my characters bar Laire will be as conflicted about whether or not to romance him as I am, and that solely because he's such a delicious hunk of manmeat.

Heh, right? I'm very curious about him and I know that when he first popped onto to the scene he received alot of flak, but there was something about his presentation in the demo that makes him appealing. I do like his voice acting. I wonder if he is a possible partner for both male and femShep. That would be nice.:P

yeah. earlier, the pale setting looked just that - pale. and since i figure whatever shep's background, she's been on a ship for a while. she probably doesn't spend much time in tanning beds, so i always gave my sheps the palest skin tone for what i imagined their coloring to be. so darker sheps were still pale-ish, and kyrie was palest of all, being blonde. but THAT in the demo ^ is totally whacked.

again, won't know until imports how it looks.

Posted Image

Nora shep, for example, is pretty pale, actually. no tan for a while for her.

@ flies: i think vega's an interest. Certainly ACTS like one, with his intro and all. i'm gonna assume he is, also gonna assume he's s/s, though they probably won't advertise that as much as they will for jessica chobot being s/s (lame sexism there).

i think i just may make a shep to romance him. it's FReddie Prince Jr, after all. gotta love the voice. i just haven't figured out which shep yet. i think i'll probably end up making a lot of sheps for me3. whether i play them through the other games, i dunno. i'm beginning to feel that kyrie is the ONLY character i can stand to play through me1. the RP in that game is just too tied to her by now for me.

Speaking of which, playing MP, i tried out infiltrator, and i now see why that's such a popular class. it was sOOO fun. BOOM!  almost rivals adept for me now...almost. i think i may try an infiltrator shep. though canon will always be adept.

i am working an UBER paragon through ME2. she's not very pretty, but she animates SO well. like, very soulful eyes and a very caring look to her, even without the glamor. she's a vanguard atm, but i REALLY suck at that class. i don't see her as an infiltrator though. not engineer either. gonna have to think about soldier vs. sentinel...

I am curious about Vega as well, since from the Demo it looks like Shepard and him have known each other for some time as she calls him by his first name, instead of his rank or his family name.

Talia won't pursue him as I want her to stay faithful to Blueberry, but maybe Cameron will (Cameron i've shown a couple pages back, though there she was only a facecode from ME2Faces, I since created her from scratch in Gibbed).

He was handpicked by Anderson to guard Shepard while she was under arrest. It's explained in some free comic which name I can't remember
