Journal Entry #6
I didn’t end up “turning in” as I had planned. Its 02:00 hours and I’m wide awake, staring at the ceiling so…..f**k it here I am back at the journal.
Much of the crew started filing back onto the ship shortly after my last entry (Some stayed on the Citadel, presumably checking into Hotels). I could tell everyone was still pretty charged up. It was good to see everyone looking at ease with how crazy and stressful everything has been. Seeing the writing on the wall, I just gave my blessing up front. Go ahead, blow off steam & do what you gotta do; we’re just civilians for the evening. Predictably, quite the party broke out. Pretty much the whole nine yards, loud music, drinking, some dancing and half the crew wearing their civies. Chief Williams actually let her hair down (literally and figuratively) and seemed to take that stick out of her ass for a minute. I also noticed she’s surprisingly pretty but she really needs to get that hair done. I should help her with that……maybe then she would draw Kaiden’s attention and he’d stop looking at me……that way.
I on the other hand left the stick in my ass and stayed in uniform. Besides Joker really couldn’t get into the mix because he had to sit his brittle ass in a chair all night. So I hung out with him, drinking a few beers and kicking his tail at cards (He’s a pretty funny little f**ker once he gets a few drinks into him and loosens up). After awhile, Tali came over and joined in our card game (She whooped up on Joker too and played me pretty even. Sh*t biscuits I hate losing!) Aside from our card games, there seemed to be an unofficial contest going on between Joker and I on who could be the most profane and disgusting (I’d bet money that Tali was blushing under that suit). I’m pretty sure I won but he battled valiantly. Better than he did at cards anyway.
Every once in awhile I’d catch Kaiden looking at me….like he was working up to something. I’d just let my eyes pass over him like I didn’t see him and got really interested in whatever Joker was saying (most time it was f**king funny anyway). I was afraid he was going to ask me to dance or something. He didn’t which was a relief. Or a disappointment? Or something.
Sh*t biscuits.
Anyway………..we had to shut it down about an hour ago since I still have business on the presidium in the morning and we really need to get back in the air by midday. We still need to get to Noveria plus I’m starting to collect a bunch of “Spectre sh*t” to do. Not to mention Admiral Hackett’s f**king dry cleaning.
I did notice some of the crew retiring to quarters that weren’t their own, but I let it go. After all, it was a party and just because I’m apparently never going to have sex again doesn’t mean the rest of the crew should have to follow suit.
