Yep. Also male Shep (or male body types in general in Mass Effect) hardly look like average soldier.Akari Tenshi wrote...
Why does Female Shepard's physique always get dragged up as an excuse for her to not be believable as a soldier? The game is set in the future and even states that Alliance soldiers have genetic enchancements. As a lot of people have already stated, huge muscles are not a requirement for being strong and capable of performing certain tasks.
And to add what Red said about almost every character sharing the same body for development reasons? This is also the reason for femshep's slightly elongated neck and also the reason why the aparent mountains off meat that are the krogan have their face in Shepard's ****** everytime one of them talk to her. Characters need to be of a similar height so they can easily fit in the same scene and don't require extra animation rigs. Hence every character (bar the volus), being pretty much the same height.
If you don't want to play a female Shepard, then don't, but it's very easy to overlook a few minor cosmetic issues when the writing, voice acting and character are such a breath of fresh air from what you usually get when it comes to lead characters in games.
I like this one for the skin and hair texture; the type that i would love to see on my canon.f1r3storm wrote...

Ease off on the DudeShep bashing. Its not cool. Supporting FemShep doesn't mean denigrating MShep.

Nobody's bashind DudeShep. In fact a lot of the FemShep fans have DudeSheps... I don't see where the bashing is?

I can't take maleShep seriously sometimes. I won't say why 'cause that dead horse is glue by now.

So, I promised I'll introduce my other FemSheps
This is Kate (Katherine) Shepard; Infiltrator, Spacer, Sole Survivor.
She's my Thane mancer and a paragade. Currently she and Jennifer are the playthroughs I'm working on right now.
She used to look different but I changed her completely

That's what I've been saying through the whole "Ashley's been sexed up" deal. Every single human male looks like he spends 14 hours at the gym everyday. UDINA looks like he could strap on some light armor and pick up a pistol and be a damn good squadmate and he's a career politician. Anderson I can understan dbecause he used to be a soldier turned politician but Udina and some of the other noncombat people we see are sporting bodies of professional wrestlers and there's no problem with that, but ashley and femshep get to look athletic and beautiful and all of a sudden "oh no they don't look like soldiers they look like models" and it's sexism.Eshaye wrote...
If we're going to be dragging up physique... Well.. Every single human in this game is aesthetically perfect. There's two body types; male and female. That's it. Instead of ragging on femshep how about focusing on the fact that there's no visual diversity in ANYONE'S body even though you can have a conversation with Mordin that states humans can look really different...
Clearly science, health and people's general status is so grand in this future that everyone is at peak health and physique. Suspension of disbelief time! The end.
Who? This guy?

I say software limitation! Your point raises an interesting question: do science and good health encourage a healthy life style? Should body shape diversity be more or less of a trend in the future because of medical progress?Eshaye wrote...

soldiers don't really need to be big and bulky, most soldiers are of average build. Male shep is a perfect example he is slightly more muscled than an average man. Femshep looks like a normal female soldier.
