LOOK AT HER!! Isn't she pretty? :3

by Ottemis

Also, TOP!!

It's a gorgeous picture. Ottemis did a fantastic job on it.

Not for the first time of course. She's done plenty of amazing drawings for people.

Infact I'm going to post the one she did for me of Hrist. ^_^

I can't really judge whether or not I like the walk from less than half a second of video.

As for my Earthborns:

Moira is from Brooklyn. She pretty much cut all ties to that place when she left (literally), but that's a whole story onto itself. If she ever returned there, nobody would know her. Finch was the last loose end, but he's been dealt with. Her upbringing there is the key to her ruthlessness. It was a cutthroat environment to say the least. She joined the Alliance because she needed to disappear (and changed her name as well). It's hard to describe her personality, as she isn't heartless, just cautious and extremely protective of her allies/friends. Moira finds the most efficient way to deal with scum bags is a slight case of death.

MacKenzie is from Dublin, and actually enjoyed her life there until a deep betrayal changed everything. Things pretty much fell apart for her and she joined the Alliance. She needed to get off Earth, but also wanted to be a part of something better. I picture her as shedding most of her criminal ways and rising to be the hero in her own way (War Hero).

Speaking of Earth locations...

I don't think it'll happen, despite its relative importance in ME lore (first exposure to dust-form element zero resulting in first human biotics, etc.), but I'd love it if you wound up in Singapore at some point in the game. Oh man, the memories Jessica would have to deal with... she'd be impossible. She'd be cold and distant and a royal b*tch queen the entire time, even to her crew. Even to Liara. Of course, Liara would understand, what with all the "Embrace Eternity and see what's inside your mind" thing.

If they're Earthborn, where are your femSheps from, and how does that influence their characters and backstories?

My renegade alt is from Phoenix. That city has hot urban deserts inside of it and they're heartbreaking. Nora helped Finch, because she has a sense of loyalty to whoever is 'in' with her. She views the world in terms of packs of wolves - if you're with hers, you're safe. If you're in someone else's, you're fair game. If you're against hers, you die.

For my NON-earthborns, it's odd, I'll confess. I think Kyrie had a TON of sympathy for the colonists in ME2. But in ME3, while she's horrified, it's with a strange sense of detachment for earth the PLACE. She's going to see Mindoir written everywhere, but she's not quite as tied to homeworlds, since the idea of resilience and "making do" are so deeply a part of her values. She encouraged the quarians to rebuild, for example. She sympathizes with the plight of the displaced, but only so far as picking up and moving on. In her head, the universe is a big place, and not making a space for yourself when given the chance is silly and somewhat selfish. It's one of her less kind traits.

Kyrie: Hey there, Kaidan. You feelin' a little tense? I could help you with that. Lemme give you a shoulder rub.
Kodiak Shuttle Pilot: Uhhh....ma'am? I'm Private Henderson, not Major Alenko.
Kyrie: What? Oh, damn. These new graphics are confusing me. Where'd we lose our sentinel?
Kodiak Pilot: Dunno. You'll have to wait until March 6 to find out where he went.

My canon femshep is Earth-born and Ruthless. Not that she is a evil woman, just hardened and used to making the tough choices.

I would love if something happened, even if small for earth-born Shepard, And the others. ( I have a colonist one too) A small something that reminds them of their past while they fight for the future. Either way, I can always write more fan-fiction stuff. :P

Love everyone's shep pics! Sadly I can't take good pics of mine easily. ( Xbox player) But awesome work!

I wonder if video games will ever have LIs that are ONLY s/s. I think that would be pretty interesting. As in, "sorry, femshep. you're very pretty and all, but i have this thing for sheploo."

LI what for who? Why they have to make these things so complicated...

By the way, when Shep got semi-possessed in Overlord DLC. Do you guys and gals think that Shepards implants and other stuff Cerberus might have put in Shepard have anything to do with it?

um...duh?

If you listen to Miranda and Wilsons audio entries in the prologue Miranda mentions they've gon with biosynthetic fusion. SHepard has cybernetics inside their body and that's what David tapped into to make Shepard understand what was going on at Project Overlord.

If it was that easy for David, I do wonder why Reapers don't take advantage of that weakness.

Shepard was linked into david through the network so it was like hooking two computers together and then one computer changing the settins on another one. Shepard would most likely have to be linked to a reaper for that to happen.

I have to say that Kenson was extremely stupid. She could have done all kinds of stuff (including that, let alone killing Shepard) to Shepard but no...

Kenson was an alliance scientist, I doubt that she would have had in-depth-knowledge of Shepards implants, David only got a hold of Shepard faster because he posessed enormous computational power while being hooked up to the computer.

I guess the closest analogy would be the vulcan mind-meld, only in this instance through the use of tech, rather than touch-telepathy.

Actually what's really freaky about what happened there is that Shepard wasn't actually physically plugged into the network. She just activated her omnitool, and bam, Overlord hacked her through that. Every time Shepard overrides a door lock with her omnitool she's creating a security breach for her brain!

HArbinger wouldn't let her. I think after all the trouble Shepard's caused, killing sovereign, stopping the collectors orm building a replacement and attempting to blow up the relay, then suceeding, he's probbably want to use Shepard as a will breaker for Organics. It'd be curshing to see Shepard working for the Reapers because sHepard was the only one who could stop them.

Anyone else find that femshep's silhouette is kind of... unproportional? Especially considering years of military training? They made maleshep a bit more buff in ME3 yet fems got ... more accentuated feminine features... I honestly have difficulty playing my female characters as frontliners because of that. Strange since Hale's voice and the CC options give femsheps a more badass personality vibe than males, especially Shepbloo( not a typo, I can only play Sheploo as pure Paragon ).

Walking animation is the same as ME1's walking animation now, more or less.

No, it's not.  I just played through ME1, and it's really not.  In ME1, while walking, femShep holds her elbows straight so her arms swing comfortably past the outsides of her hips.  When she jogged, she brought her hands up just above the level of her hips and put most of the upper body movement into her shoulders.  You know, the way most of us move normally.  It was a very natural-looking motion.

In ME3, her elbows are tucked in close to her sides, which means the wrists are forced to sweep outward as she walks to avoid whacking herself in the hips.  Walking or jogging like this for any length of time is uncomfortable because it isn't natural, which is why you only see it during the exaggerated strutting employed by models. Or by women whose objective is to be noticed.

I'm disappointed.  Shepard is a soldier.  Shepard doesn't mince.  Still, at least it's better than the gorilla limp.

I sure second that. And let's hope her hands don't flap around limply when she runs à la LadyHawke. Does anybody  really run with their hands open and limp like that? (If you do, please stop that. It's embarassing.)

The elbows-in thing is an annoying aspect of the female walking animation in Skyrim, too.

=sigh= It would be nice if game animators would realize that gender differences in walking / running don't consist of just adding or subtracting odd affectations. This is caricaturization, not modeling. And if they're using motion capture for any of this, they're sure picking the wrong subjects for their captures. It's not like this is somehow more difficult than what they already do; they certainly don't seem to have any trouble modeling boob-bouncing and booty-swiveling....

As I was writing this, The Matrix came on TV, and I watched Carrie Anne Moss running in the opening scenes. Wonderful examples of an athletic woman in motion. What we see in games isn't even close.
