The leather dress is FemShep's version of the leather jacket - it's pretty much confirmed now.

It's such a small, insignificant thing, but the principle behind it has absolutely floored me. I simply cannot get over how ridiculous it is to consider that stupid dress the 'female version' of that jacket.

I am so tired of this kind of crap, and even more so of people accepting it as justifiable.

Which is why I'm shortly going to be doing a quick bit of art featuring FemShep in the jacket, and start praying that enough of a fuss is kicked up about it to have something done about it.

This may seem like an overreaction, but for me this is a straw breaking camel's back moment.

Well not officially, but the people who were getting the screenshots in the first place said that it's not there, and that they've been through all the available options.

Unless it's been added since the build the demo uses, it's not there.

I don't really see it as justifiable, I'm just out of fuel for complaining after 'smexy FemShep statue' and silly hair colour voting.

Hopefully there'll be more outfits to come otherwise my FemShep's N7 hoodie will stink so bad at the end of ME3 for lack of taking it off.

MDK: Good idea. My head cannon of FemShep is she was most likely a tomboy growing up. You know, the girl in the neighborhood who would play sports and keep up with all the boys, or she was just not interested in that whole portion of appearance (either too much for studying or athletic). The dress doesn't quite seem right.

Ugh, really? I'm totally sick of BioWare when it comes to the disparity between their female and male character treatment. Female characters do end up being as amazing as the males, but why do we have to trade off great characterization for hypersexualization and objectification? I'm tired of it as well, it's just one more little thing in a pile of little things (surrounded by big things). Irritating as hell.

....at least the hoodie is cute, I guess. That's definitely what my Shep is wearing.

It's not.  I really feel like some of the Bioware people *get* what players who want female protagonists to be taken seriously are saying, when they ask for more attention to FemShep, and others miss the boat completely.  The Bishoujo statue when MaleShep gets a more "serious" Play Arts Kai version, panties that show her asscrack when MaleShep gets shorts with decent coverage...and then a retexture of Diana Allers' club wear, when MaleShep gets the coolest casual outfit I've seen yet in the leather jacket.

Gaming is an escape from reality for me.  I don't need to have this kind of message pounded into my head when I'm just trying to have fun.

I don't hate the dress mind you, but a less errr...dressy alternative would have been nice. It seems rather dressier than the Sheploo jacket.

I completely agree. And personally I rarely wear dresses but I wear leather jackets and jeans all the time so it would've been awesome to see my Sheps do the same thing! I will never wear that dress unless it some how looks okay on my Sheps.

And if my FemShep is going to get a dress...why isn't it the Kasumi one? At least that looked nice...and simple.

And I can't wait for the art of FemShep with a jacket!

The hoodie looks really good in my opinion, if it had bit more high res and sharper textures, it would look almost photorealistic.

Well, Im thinking exactly the same thing.  Especially as the Dress is simly Diana Allers gear retextured.   Hardly unique for her is it...   Says something about her body shape as well.

But I didnt want to go there right away and put a sour note on things. Especially as there is other awesome stuff like this!
