So I made a list of what FemShep's I wanted to make (name, general look, para/rene, VS, LI, etc....) and i've started on those.
Currently going through Mass Effect 2 as 'Raine Shepard'. She's mostly Paragon with a few Renegade points, romanced Liara and intends to stay faithful, saved Ashley. Pics are awful sorry, xbox player so had to use the camera on my iPod!
She's going to be my first import into Mass Effect 3.

Yeah, except military types only wear civvies when on leave. During after hours activities only military approved T-shirts, etc. were allowed (don't get me started about Vega being sent to escort Shepard in his T and saluting without his head covered). At least as was the case when I was in the SA military (it probably differs, and even more so in the Alliance).ELE08 wrote...
The reason I'm so stoked about the hoodie though, is because it's the first thing we've gotten for casual wear, that looks like legit civies. IE something a normal person might wear out of uniform, not some bizarro space jumpsuit/dress/overalls. And it's not fatigues.
So, I suppose the hoody is N7 issue, so can be worn a/h, but then again I found fatigues to be comfortable enough, and as an officer, would expect Shepard to wear those when not on the bridge.
I'm stoked people like the hoody. It's just not for me personally and I would have wasted $0.50 had I bought the CE. Some of the other swag, yeah, perhaps, but still not motivated enough. Same with the stupid Day 1 DLC (I don't feel ripped off, quite the opposite actually, I'm glad I don't have to get "that" character).
Hey, I applaud your reasoning and respect your opinion.
But in a related vein, I don't find the Mass Effect story or universe itself to be very strict on military protocol and procedure, so it's a non-issue for me, except in the loosest sense. Let's not go into how I wish it were...*gets wistful*
It's been a downward slide from ME1 from Shepard the exemplary soldier, to Shepard the badass superhero.
Alas, just going with the universe Bioware has presented me.
And I'd like to stress, opinions. Yay. We all have them =)
...
Edit - Had to add. N7 issue hoodie...just like the trashbag dress! Lol. Alliance may have gone overboard in licensing agreements <<
@ ELE and also @ AD: military in ME not so military? Yep. Ain't THAT the truth.
Which is why if I'm playing a Kaidan-mancer, I probably shouldn't get bent out of shape about the dress, right? I mean, true, endgame ME1, they stole a ship and were flying it into almost certain death, so hey, some of the rules got ignored in light of that, I'm okay with it. I prolly shouldn't be, but I was. So, If I'm having Shep break regs and I have a reason for that in my head, I suppose I can ignore the dress.
I suppose.
I still want the jeans. I'm jealous of the jeans and the jacket. Really, really jealous. <_<

It's not really even exactly that, Adam, I'm adding my observation from the whole boards here now. Some people on the boards just made a simple comparison - a pair of jeans and a casual jacket vs fitting dress. BW must think of FemShep as of a ****! They don't respect her! From a simple question - why BW added a dress with a distinct jewlery vs something that looks suitable for a beer with friends - got slightly jealous, started raging as BSN does.
Honestly, we don't even know in what context those clothes are used. Is it a date? A recon? Stroll in a park? Dance? Private party? Will we be able to wear it later?
I like the dress. It looks "sportsy". When I saw it and compared to Diana's other texture, I pretty much think of it as of something like a tennis dress. Then I saw the zipper on the back and it looks like the top is actually detachable from the rest - "great", I thought, "you can combine it with something else!" What I don't like is puting N7 on it, placing it everywhere got pretty much boring to me.
Pretty much it.
Edit: sorry, many typos.

As for the manShep jacket, it's just personal taste as I said. I prefer my leather jackets more aged and more biker-ish.

Okay we have sriously got to stop comparing the Military in Mass Effect to the Military right now. They are not the same thing. Sure there are similarities, as all military have some things in common. This is a military set 174 years in the future and it's regulations are prett ymuch ambiguous besides the fraternization reg that's brought up by either VS during their romance path. Unless there's a huge list of Alliance regulations regarding appearance in he Codex then you can wear anything you dan well want to and no ones going to say anything about it anyway. Anderson won't berate Shepard for wearing the N7 dress and tell her to change, no one's telling Ashley to put on Kaidan's outfit because he chooses to wear what everyone else is wearing, and no ones telling Vega to cut his mohawk off and put on an officers jacket to cover up his bulky physique.
/soapbox
Seriously, AD, you're doing exactly what you're telling us not to. You're prescribing how we play our games. While I see your point, I was in the military, and I have a certain view of my Shepards and the Alliance due to that. Is it right or wrong?

I am totally wanting to do full playthrough of ME1 and ME2 for Kyrie in prep for ME3.
SO not going to happen. YEah. just is not.
i really only have 2 things i wish i'd done differently. I wish i'd given Al Jilani the cold shoulder in ME1 and let her do a horrible story on Shep. and I wish i'd shot grunt, rather than just sticking a pistol in his ribs. also, if i'd had the points for it, i think it would have pulled more renegade intimidates than paragon charms to achieve the same objectives.
other than those, i'm quite satisfied with my choices. even the seemingly risky paragon ones (rachni, anyone?) and the kinda mean renegade ones (dump the krogan, little miss can't make up her mind asari; blow the geth station. they freak me out)
yep.
If you had time to totally re-do your playthough, would you change anything?

For my canon Shep definitely: First of all I would destroy those damn geth flyers on Virmire so that Kirrahe could survive (still can't believe I forgot them:pinched:). And as far as ME2 goes I would blow the geth base to hell and I'd tell Kasumi to destroy the greybox...I'm kinda concerned about that one

You know what, I've played the game through with my Shepard numerous times. I always end up doing choosing the same dialogues. However, this time I choose (or will choose) pretty much every renegade interrupt (as long as it doesn't interfere with paragon options, which they usually don't). Not that it really changes anything, she will end up full paragon and 1/5 renegade. When it comes to major choices I always end up picking the same options. I guess I just can't rope those. I have one play through where Tiia had LI (Kaidan) and I consider that canon even though in every other playthrough she has chosen the forever alone path (like in this, Ashley VS run).sagequeen wrote...

It feels almost impossible to make changes since the face is the same. I had this very same problem in KOTOR with my Revan (though he never choose the "forever alone" option).

While I tried to stick to my head-canon scripts of what John and Jane was supposed to do, when they became Xavier and Kassia, they subtly manipulated those scripts. And I derive more pleasure from that, than having had them be clones of John and Jane.

I'm hoping for the same, too. I liked the suits in ME2, but I don't really want to stand on formality with the old crew so hoody or the demo outfit is perfectly fine.Priisus wrote...
Please tell me my Shep can at least wear the demo outfit as her casual outfit on board the Normandy (should be right? I saw it when she is sparring with Vega in the Reinstated trailer).
Re: Hoodie discussion
I don't know that my Shepard will wear the hoody full time or anything, but I'm stoked that I have the option to use it. At the very least, I'm hoping there's a sweet screenshot spot on Earth where I can grab a shot of my in-game Shepard in the hoody and use it as a wallpaper. I own a hoody myself so when I heard about the in-game version, I thought it was so neat that I'd have a small connection to my Shepard this way. (Sometimes I game while wearing the hoody!) The N7 patch is cute, but I have no idea what I'd sew it on. I'd gladly trade the art book for the N7 coffee mug though. =p

Most likely the geth decision, not sure i'm all good with rewriting them and if it's the choice my Shep would pick. I think destroying them would be the choice she would make. Except that i'm content with the choices or at least not displeased with them.

I do hope they fix the sitting animation of I do chose to put that dress on one of my girls.
