Frankly, and this is totally my own opinion, if I were to choose a default Shep, it would be ELE's Caroline. She animates AMAZING. I cannot even tell you how blown away I was by how she looked in game. The screenshots don't do justice. I think the reason I like new default so well is she reminds me a lot of the Ballbuster.
ELE, they need to hire you to do character modeling, I swear.
I am looking for work! Lol. I tried Caroline in the demo and she looks, well, off. Think I'll wait till the official game comes out, and then starts the tweaking.

It was a happy, trip back to the Normandy filled with banter and “Did you see that dude’s head explode?” Did I mention I hate slavers? Well they’re not actually slavers, they’re dealers but they do give people over to slavers. They are scum and killing them is a public service.
Good times
Now to the Fortuna System to give Miss Blake a big surprise.

As long as we get mores stuff like this in ME3 I will be happy! But I'm so excited now that every hour feels like torture... :/
Also:

Here's hoping for more Legion and Sheperd conversations. I've been playing through ME2 with him (Gibbed) and he's absolutely hilarious. Hopefully the Prothean will be just as fun.

2. I like the picture with FemShep and Kaidan. Very nice.
3. As for the whole hoodie thing, I'm a submariner, and underway, semi-official sweatshirts and the like get broken out. Most units have a standard item, but old command or a training program would be acceptable. I wear the black wool v-neck with epaulettes and a leather name tag with rate and submarine warfare insignia.

I also like the idea of my uber, self-righteous Paragon being blindsided by the fact that Thane is more than what he seems. It's hard to explain, I guess. That being said, I find myself unable to romance him with any other Shepard because it's just weird.
Don't get me wrong though, I love them all. Garrus and Kaidan are a close second. <3

@ Kyrene - eh, perhaps. but i find that's one of the interesting things about multiple playthroughs with the same character. as the game shapes how you view femshep - the lines available, what others say of you, there's also the way you characterize your own shep. i wrote my fanfic over the course of about 3 playthroughs, so it doesn't quite reflect exactly what i played - pretty darn close, but not exact. also, i frequently gave shep both paragon AND renegade lines for the same moment in the fic. When I play the game, I'm then like - huh, which one do I want?
I just often see people say 'My Shep got more X as I played (renegade, xenophobic, what have you). I'm just curious if - exact decision points aside - if people would change their canon at all if they had the time to do so.
Seems like answer is no.
@ LEth: Fave LI? Kaidan. So much KAidan. Can't wait for next week. I have no reason to expect a happy ending, but I'm hoping for one with all my gamer heart.
Just interjecting here before I get a chance to finish the thread, considering the thing ballooned almost ten whole pages since last night...
I've actually meticulously crafted my playthroughs to fit the image that has developed in my head of Jessica Shepard over the course of 5+ playthroughs (I say 5+ because while I've run through both games beginning to end a total of five times, with my constant saving and reloading it's probably nearly double that). I don't even remember what the decisions were that I made on my very first playthrough of either game. By this point, I've quicksaved almost all major conversations in order to explore every option on that dialogue wheel, so even though I don't remember them word for word I've been able to map out the "perfect" path through the games to fit with Jessica's character. My poor choices and mistakes are just as engineered and pre-planned as my good ones. Only in a few cases has Jessica surprised me, or has my own inattentiveness resulted in a less-than-ideal outcome that I ended up keeping in the game: shooting Finch, missing the aircraft fueling station so that Kirrahe died, letting Kasumi keep the graybox (utterly convinced that will bite me in the ass, but Jessica's lost too many people herself to be able to force Kasumi to give up the memories of her lover), unable to resist Morinth, etc.
Jessica has also slowly become more and more Renegade with every playthrough. She's still a Paragade, but she has some serious damage from her past and a massive chip on her shoulder when it comes to anyone more powerful than she is. I think that the Renegade Slide has finally settled into equilibrium with my latest playthrough, which I don't think I'll get finished before ME3 comes out. That's okay though... provided I actually buy ME3, I can wait a few days to finish ME2 first.

My favorite LI is Thane. I may be in the minority, but that's how I feel. He's an intriguing, well-written character that I found myself attached to from the the very beginning. He's perfect for my Shepard, since I find their personalities mesh quite well.
I also like the idea of my uber, self-righteous Paragon being blindsided by the fact that Thane is more than what he seems. It's hard to explain, I guess. That being the said, I find myself unable to romance him with any other Shepard because it's just weird.
That's a really cool way of looking at your Shepard's relationship with Thane. I always thought he was cool but his backstory with his wife and son always reminded me of Carth, of whom no fictional man can ever take the place of.
But as for character development, I thought he was very interesting, especially with his personal philosophy. Deep down, I always hoped that he would become friend with Samara if Bioware would have released an increased-dialogue DLC.

I don't understand why people always bring up that comparison. Their backstories are quite different, their personalities are not the same. They lost family, but that's not unique to Carth and Carth only.
I'm looking forward to seeing how strained the relationship becomes in ME3. I know I'm gonna be weeping like a little baby.
