I've said it before, but I love Garrus. He's been a regular squadmate for my Shep since ME1. We've back to back badassed Saren, the Collectors, and he's the only one my Sheps trust to run the second squad. I love the evolution of their friendship from mentor/student to, for me at least, best friends. A romance on top of that is nice, but he's my buddy through and through. Garrus has always stood by my Shep and while the romance itself is awkward as Garrus constantly trips over himself but it's always felt real to me. Plus, Sheperd looks so damn happy!

Who is your favorite LI in the game this far? Why? And who will your first FemShep go for in ME3?

Mine is Jacob. Before Horizon I thought it will be Kaidan, but no. That guy left me. He made his choice. So It's Jacob. The only person who asks Shepard about what she feels. After that conversation I started to think that Kaidan is not the only man in universe.
For a long time I couldnt choose between Garrus, Jacob and Thane. But Garrus is more like a big brother to my Shepard, Thane is her very close friend. So Jane decided to stay with Jacob.

That's kind of how I felt. Except Kaidan was no longer around, and my Sheperd was destined to travel alone. Or so she thought. She saw a little of herself in Jacob and Jacob noticed this as well, so she decided to try out the relationship. When he asked her about her feelings, it was great, she finally got to snap about survivor's guilt and how she felt bad that her first lover had passed away in battle, while she was given a second chance to live. That's why Jacob is my favorite ME2 romance for me.

I really hope there are more moments where Sheperd gets to say how she feels on situations. I know she's supposed to be a tough and badass marine, but that doesn't mean she can't have feelings too.

Hey, I thought about FemShep and how you all were going on about looking military, and thought I'd look for some real military women. Well, I found this picture from the US Navy's photo service, and she's the same grade, so what do you all think?

I didn't give Jessica a backstory.  She had a backstory that she chose to tell me bits and pieces of the more I got to know her.

I don't know how else to describe it.  When a character really takes over, really becomes alive, they create themselves in your head.  Or perhaps, you discover things about them as you go along.  Jessica Shepard was that way, one of the very few video game characters to do that to me.

*snip*
"If you're going to go blabbing about me to half the galaxy you damn well better get it right."

Yeah, I know what you mean. I didn't go out of my way to write one for her, or anything. Although I had a general idea of what her personality was from the start, in each playthrough I learned something new about her...something that just clicked in my head and with a little imagination of my own, sorta worked out into all the decisions (hence the reason I'm keeping all the major decisions the same). I've since been adding these little bits and pieces to the character across all of my playthroughs but this is the first time I've actually gone and written it all out, really fleshing out every little detail.

You can't really go out of your way and write whatever you want because of the limited dialog/choices available so you have to work that stuff into the story. So I agree....in a sense, it's really your character who is telling you her past and the story of how she came to be. You can't really do that with any protagonist and/or video game but that's why femshep (and the ME universe) is one of a kind.

She's gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous.  That picture is beautiful actually.

I grew up in the martial arts world.  I knew women of all shapes and sizes who could kick someone's ass.  From the routund to the teeny tiny.  My martial arts master always said it's the short ones you've gotta look out for, what with their center of gravity being lower.  Makes us harder to knock over.  Besides women get more power out of their wide hips and rotation.  (Not quite military, but most idiots put more emphasis on strength through big muscles.)

I love FemShep because she feels and sounds like a soldier, but it's nice to see the women of the military getting some respect! :D

A lot of my characters developed after I started playing them. They really took on their own personalities. I love the fact that even though I have so many FemShepards, they are all unique in my own head.

Kaidan, for plenty of reasons. I like his quiet, level-headed attitude combined with the dead-pan sense of humour. He's a good match for Noah, who can be a bit brash and suffers from the occasional foot-in-mouth moment.

You make the point for me so much better than I could make it myself. I and many others who once regularly participated on this thread weren't lurkers until you showed up with your incessant, childish insults, bullying, and pathetic, attention-getting, self-congratulating behavior.

Now go ahead, "new OP," and have that last word your fragile ego demands.

Seriously. Would you stop and look at what you're doing.
Act your age and ignore who you can't stand for whatever reason you felt justified your opinion (which on it's on is fair enough seeing it's your opinion) but don't let it
1. wreck your enjoyment of something when any one person is easily ignored, specially with how fast this thread is moving and
2. be detrimental to the atmosphere in the thread, you're not helping anything spitting your opinion on his character out into the open, it's juvenile.

You should be above this kind of nonsense. Frankly that you're not is disappointing and speaks ill of you, in my opinion.

Yup!  Thanks! :D  My BF recently got me ME2 on the PC (so I can ready the text...can't on my TV) and I've been getting into the modding a little.  I love, love, love trying out new hairstyles on my Shep!  And the Ashley one from ME1 and 2 is awesome, practical but softens her just the right amount!

I love her smile here, it's her "I'm looking forward to kicking your ass!" expression. Especially when it's over taking out a gunship! :D This is what I love about FemShep.
