That's a great idea but there's a price to pay: just look at C.O.D. singleplayer!

I don't think anyone can realistically conclude that including a short co-op vs wave mode will result in singleplayer becoming like a call of duty campaign. Because, y'know, that's just being silly.

More Femsheping, people.

Yaay... a trailer for a game-mode that the game should not have had in the first place...what a frickin' let-down.

That 's what they think sells well (multiplayer).

And by god I hate them for that... I simply don't want the CoD- or BF-Crowd pouring into "our" franchise.

Dude, it's connecting the fan base. I know I'm going to get alot more friendly with alot of you guys when we're blasting husks and cerberus goons as Special forces of all the species. Femshep's all "I can't kick all the ass, i have to leave some for the other people too!"

LOL, maybe its just your FemShep who can't kick all the ass. :P

I won't knock it, 'till I've tried it. I actually think it looks cool, and I'm curious how it will feel with the main mission.

Speaking of that trailer, and femshep, I was wondering if it that "Shepard gives them all a speech before they go run off and suicide themselves" part is going to feature in singleplayer, or if it's going to be at the start of a multiplayer game/campaign/however-they-organise-the-maps.

'Cause, y'know, where's my rousing Femshep speech if it's the latter.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.

Actually, I just tweeted that question. Curious if there is an answer. 'Cause if I'm playing as a Special Force op out there to help Shepard stop the Reapers, I hope it's Hale's voice I hear telling me to get my rear in gear. If it's just for teh trailer, okay. But if I'm playing MP and suddenly Meer's voice starts talking to me and the team, ima wonder "Who IS this guy?"

That happens any time I see marketing anyway. I get momentarily confused.

I like FemShep speeches. Chest pounding. Military Bravado.

ah, no offense.

Here's hoping it'll be a singleplayer moment, or otherwise just a flavour scene they cobbled together for the trailer. I mean heck, even if it's just default Sheploo giving a speech, you've then got the problem of not everyone's Shepards looking alike. Complications!

Femshep pictures? Femshep pictures.

Damnit Shepard, stop ignoring your pair of giant rifles in cutscenes. It makes me sad.

Of course multiplayer will be great. That never was the question. Some franchise went from singleplayer to singleplayer/multiplayer to only multiplayer. I'm just saying that it can come with price.

It would add a nice bit of emersion you hear your Shepard yelling "Chaaaaaaaarge!!!" in your ear. It wouldn't be to hard to make the voice be either Hale's or Meer's. MP and single player is connected to the same game, right? It wouldn't be too hard to connect game save to MP. If they are even going to do that. It would be really cool to hear Shepard giving the briefings. And even if it is Meer giving briefing for MP, I can just pretend its some other Commander Shepard. The true Commander Shepard's third cousin twice removed.

Thanks!! I made it, I personally didn't feel that the N7 logo made much sense so I textured something and put the cerberus logo on it. At the end of the game I changed it to the spectre logo after I told TIM to stick it.

I say software limitation! Your point raises an interesting question: do science and good health encourage a healthy life style? Should body shape diversity be more or less of a trend in the future because of medical progress?

I'm thinking so, generally there's always going to be people who don't fit into the mainstream. But if classes of people are eliminated economically and everyone has the same access to education and health care and are all able to buy good quality products and excersice, then sure.

In ME the alien species are so evolved that they barely look all that different from each other, and humans were heading down a very similar path. If you meta that it's a good way to explain why only certain models are used in game (software limitations), but at least they made the effort to explain it, well Drew did. :P

Looks like someone needs to see the episode of DS9 where a bunch of 1940s science fiction authors discuss how there's no precedent for a ****** commanding a space station, among other things. This is science fiction. The whole point is that there is no precedent!

Oh and that episode is called "Far Beyond the Stars."

That was an amazing episode. Star Trek Deep Space Nine. Some say it's not really Star Trek, but it's still great science fiction.

June Shepard blinked when someone took the photo. Obviously even in the future, flash photography causes amusing mishaps.

I'd say that the fact that the multiplayer was developed by a different studio entirely would nix the idea of it pulling resources from the SP. And saying that adding a horde-esque mode isn't going to pull hundreds of squeaky CoD fanboys into your co-op sessions. It's 4-player, and will likely only consist of you and your friends at most. It's also nothing like CoD. No killstreaks = no fun for kiddies. But this isn't femshep related.

What IS femshep related is whether or not she's going to get nice, high-res armor like trailersheploo. I mean, it looks REALLY good, and that's running on an Xbox. High res makes me giddy.

I know most of you will disagree with me, but I think there should be a DLC where you get another character fighting some missions during the events of ME3 that could be able to romance a hypothetical single shepard (male or female, whatever). Like a "What if" story... You could import your Shepard to the dlc, that would make all the decisions you made while playing, except that (s)he would be single.
Why did I say that in the Femshep thread? Cause the new femshep is just too hot to not be romanced.

https://lh3.googleus...BRFwGyEULzDazeg

Can you tell us more about your idea? It sounds great but would like to hear some elaboration.

Something like the "Darkspawn Chronicles" from DAO, where the game gives you the control over the enemy (the darkspawn) in a hypothetical situation where your original warden dies during the ritual to become a grey warden.
In this case, instead of an enemy, we should be able to create a random character, similar to the coop mp character, but with a face and a voice of course. They could throw in some random missions, where you would eventually meet Shepard and have the chance to romance him/her. Importing the save could give you hints, like "galactic news" saying what your Shepard did and where he is... Of course, you should be able to change the gender of your Shepard when you import the save, so if you had a male Shepard, but you want to romance a femshep, you wouldn't need to make another playthrough. And the importing would ignore any romance options/events, to give you a single Shepard. Of course, this is just a "draft" idea. Probably the devs would think it's lame...

Darkspawn Chronicles was awesome. A reaper version would be amazing. Shame we're in the minority. Oh well, men can dream...

In COD's defense, if you're a fan of military and espionage fiction, they are written and acted out rather well. The problem is the lack of content. I doubt people would insult COD as much if they had a 15 hour campaign and some continuity between the game that seemed stronger. All in all, the franchise is good for rental because the gameplay has been very cinematic. However if you're an RPG elitist it might seem quite forgettable.

Anywho... If we were to get Femshep in a movie, who would you cast as Jane? Personally, with the proper training beforehand, I'd think Anna Torv would be a perfect pick.

Papusza Shepard. Colonist. Survivor. Goody two shoes Paragon. Waiting for Kaidan to come back for snuggle bunnies.

I based her on a college roommate from Poland. I thought she was very pretty even though by magazine model standards she was all wrong. This is actually pretty close likeness (thanks to my BF on the editor) but there was no asymmetrical bob hairstyle.

Don't worry there will be a Female Shepard trailer.
