I have 6...would be 7...but one I don't think I'm gonna bring over...she isn't translating well into the game through the demo...so for now, atleast til i complete her ME 2 playthrough I will not bring her over to ME 3...

edit: if we are counting total...as I also have 4 men ready to go into ME 3 as well...

I will change my appearance on all of my Sheps, they didn't translate well at all, and I found some new looks I really like. I will most likely go with one of my Kaidanites first. I have two... one where I didn't save the council, and one where I did. Decisions decisions!

my 3 new characters came from facodes of other members here on the bsn who were kind enough to share( as well as become friends of mine)...hell, even my canon Allison...her original code belonged to someone else... I just edited and altered and turned her into who she is today.  I can definetely understand where you are coming from with that...

Hey Mom,

This is one of those letters I don't think I'll ever send.  I can't, but Doctor Chakwas says it's therapeutic to write things down. Given all I've been through, I think she worries about me too much.  So, I'm writing.  I'll have EDI send these to Anderson, so that if by any chance I die on my big mission... I'll...well, I guess you'll read this.  Not as good as the real thing, right?  But at least you'll know your daughter loved you enough to answer.  Eventually.

I've done some bad things the past few weeks, falling back into old habits, the ones you didn't teach me.  I feel like a bad soldier, like I've betrayed everything I stand for.  I'm doing it my way now and damn everything else, I'll get it done.  But seeing Kaiden Alenko on Horizon just made everything worse.  

You remember the Collectors?  The old nursery tales Dad used to tell me when he was home on leave, the ones he'd picked up out on the Rim?  "Eat your vegetables or the Collectors will come get you!  Clean your room Maria or we'll sell you to the Collectors!"  Well, they're real.  They've been stealing colonists from the Terminus Systems, outside Alliance space.  I've been trying to stop them.  Trying and failing, but that's just me.  It's scary to think my childhood nightmares have become a reality.  How many people have they taken?  How many children?

Kaiden was all right, the Collectors took most of the colonists, but they left him.  Why? 

I'm not looking this gift horse in the mouth, I just.... I don't know.

Kaiden accused me of being a terrorist, working for terrorists.  But no one else is trying to help these colonists!  No one else is trying to stop the Collectors.  No one but TIM.  He'll betray me eventually, but if I have to sail through hell to get those people back I will.

Still, I feel like I'm betraying everything I stand for by working with these people.  The worst thing was, Kaiden doubted I was really me.  Miranda and Jacob assure me that it's not true, I'm me just with a few cybernetic enhancements and tweaks. I can't help but wonder.

Am I really me?

Some nights, I sit on my bed with a bottle of Scotch in hand, just staring.  Staring at my hands, my skin, trying to memorize every vein, map every pore, study every cell, I know it all checks out.  But my mind is clouded with doubt. Even after all the scans and confirmation from the Citadel, I just...I don't know.

I don't even know who Maria Shepard is.  Did Kaiden ever really love the real me?  Or was the person who died on the Normandy just a fabrication?  The Hero of the Citadel, the first human Spectre.  A lie.

I can't sleep anymore.

My canon romanced Kaiden in the first game and cheated on him with Garrus in the second.  The save is on my X-box... I'm getting 3 for the PC.  (My TV sucks.)  I've got a save finished for Kaiden and Sharna romanced Garrus, Maria will go for Kaiden, and Erin for Liara.    I don't like Liara as much as Kaiden or Garrus.  It's a little late to go back and try to recreate my canon though.

Edit: @Bettak: Thanks so much!  Maria is really angsty, but after suffocating to death, hitting the atmosphere of a planet, having a body that somehow survived being disintegrated in the atmosphere and slamming into the planet, I think anyone would have a few doubts.  Or a lot.  Her next one will probably involve her grumbling about Jack.  I'm keeping Jack in the team because every time Jack says something, Maria thinks: "Shut up, Jack!"

One of my characters is like that. I used a facecode someone else gave me and edited it. Now she doesn't really look anything like the original.

I have to work really hard to make them all look different. That isn't easy becasue there are certain things I like and don't like in the character creartion options.

Yeah, i did the switch thing as well...though not because of my tv... I have 40 in sony bravia now.( which I can hook  my laptop up to through the HDMI cord). I switched because I had ME 2 on the PS3( transferred 2 of my facecodes from their over( 1 male/1 female) ) then got ME 1 on the pc in sept...and after that along with the ability to mod...and completely eliminate the need for scanning planets for minerals for upgrades... I went pc fullfledge( ordering ME 2 and preordering my collector's edition of ME 3 on the pc).

edit; @ JECWCU ; I can understand that... you wanna gic them your own taste n style...so they actually become your character...it's hard thing to handle...especially when your taste as opposed to someone else's can be quite different....

Glad Origin opted to do this. Theoretically, it gets downloaders into the game quicker on release day, and spreads out the demand on their servers to help them avoid a release day availability catastrophe.

I sure hope they thoroughly QA'd the decrypt/unpack/install process. (The Origin client DOES still say "Beta" in the title bar ==shivers travel down spine==) I've had several issues with Origin downloads, and I've heard of Steam users moan in misery over their preload's decryption process as well, so I'm a little nervous about this. Fingers crossed... So +10 to Origin for adding this option, because it gives me a strange warm feeling to have the bits on my computer. A big -5,000,000 if there are problems with it that make me wish I'd just pre-ordered the box instead of the download.

The game content isn't encrypted like in Steam when you preload stuff. Even the exe's aren't encrypted. MassEffect3.exe has one time launch date check. I plan to use VPN to go around that restriction once US launch happens.

I have already mapped flyCam keys for ME3 since those files aren't encrypted.

I'm really not sure I want to import any of my femsheps with all the auto-dialogue. If I have to play Bioware's Shepard rather than my own, I'm thinking I'd rather start afresh than get annoyed that my character is acting out of character.

Could you kindly tell us or point us to anything that state how we edit flycam in ME3's file?

You want to make a completely different femshep? Here's a suggestion, pick one of the eye, mouth and match with another facial structure, I am pretty sure they will look very different if you stick with these 'rules'.

Here's something we did a couple months ago, face challenge to make a femshep from each facial structure.

They are all quite attractive looking to me...   I can see subtlity in their appearances... but I just chalk that up to you preferring your characters look a certain way...and the hairstyles make them distinguishable enough in my opinion...

Well, I enjoyed Kaiden's romance a lot in ME1, got mad at him in ME2 , saw his face again in promos on ME3:wub: and it was a done deal, I was buying the game.  Then I played through ME2 to get ready for 3, I got ME2 on Steam for Christmas though I only started up about a week ago.  I really wasn't sure when I whether or not I was going to preorder, but meh I did. I DO NOT REGRET IT! 

Garrus is my favorite romance from ME2, it felt like a natural evolution of their friendship.  Plus it's funny and awkward, but I always feel happy for my Sheps that go for him.  They will go to Omega and fight crime when it's all over.  Batmen together!  I feel weird when I play and don't romance him.  

Shortly, I go back and forth.  It's whether I want to play a Shep who feels like retiring, growing old, and having kids is a good idea or the Shep that wants to go out in a blaze of glory destroying the Reapers (and hopefully still living long enough to take out Aria on Omega.)

I also had trouble making my shepards look different on the xbox. I only like a few of the options in the character creator. I only had one because when I would try to make another she looked like the first. On the pc and with some modding I was able to make my shepards look the way I wanted them to look.

Bolded: Ok... well, I'm gonna say Garrus is my favorite as well for femshep(with Miranda/Ashley/Liara tieing for maleshep)...so, I may sound biased here but it seems to me as if he's the one you enjoy the most...you just like kaidan as well. Personally the trailer seems to suggest both will be very good in 3...so I don't think you can go wrong either way.

Also it should be noted that Allison(my canon) dated Garrus and only Garrus...as she never did romance anyone in ME 1...though the story behind that is a spoiler for my character bios...

That's what multiple playthroughs are for. If you are having a hard time choosing.
I have one for Garrus, and another one for Kaidan. Then I have two for Thane. I haven't decided who Hana is going to romance though.

Haha, you're right.  I love Garrus and I love stories where the hero dates their best friend.  Sharna never romanced anyone either, but I "cheated" and used MassEffectsaves.com for her, most of my PC saves actually cause I've beaten ME so many times on the Xbox...  I love that game, but hard to catch up on and adjust to when you're in a hurry.  But the saves there are basically the same as my completionist playthroughs.  ME2 is always crazy Paragade or Renegon so if I want them right, I have to do them myself. <_<  ME2 is also shorter, so that helps.

I've never managed a BroShep playthrough, I always miss Jennifer Hale and the femshep delivery.

Garrus it is!   Kaiden and Liara must prove themselves first!
