I'm sorry for being so blunt, but I call B.S.

It's not B.S.  If you don't mind mega-spoilers (from the early game, but still pretty big), you can look at this and come to your own verdict.  Others with more stomach for spoilers have watched longer streams, and say it's the same.

Or you can just play the demo.

I am curious on what you guys think about the whole issue with ME1-ME2 to ME3 face import problem (this is mainly a concern for 360 peeps) that is going on right now? Alot of people are praying that the day 1 patch will cover this but we don't know for sure if it will or will not. I myself am not to worried about since I can either do A. Rationalize that Serenity Shepard has changed a bit over time or B. I can go through some hoops to actually get a face code from my ME1 Shepard with the online tools that people have suggested using. (ME2 save editor and what not)

Here are two solutions to the problem.

http://social.biowar...47811/3#9249327
Will require a flash drive (if on 360) and an additional PC program (if on 360).

http://masseffect.li...com/656484.html
Will require 30 to 60 minutes of your time and some math.

Here's a link to a Shepard I imported using the first solution.  http://femshep.ning....-me1-me2-import

I got a face code for three of my Shepards using the first solution and they all look fine, but others have expereinced problems.

If autodialogue doesn't bother you, then that's the sensible cause.

For me, I'm not going to pay £30 for an ME3 that probably won't let me play my Shepard how she should be played.

Fair enough you feel that way, but then I don't understand what you're trying to do here. If you want to judge things based on spoilers, heresay and assumptions, that's fair enough. But personally, I neither see the point nor value. The constant negativity on the BSN is starting to get to me, and frankly it's a bigger reason for me to pack my bags till I've actually played the game then the risk of spoilers.

Need to really play the game to find out, however from what I understand there is nearly twice as much dialogue in ME3 as ME2, but both games have the same number of dialogue wheel conversations.

@Wulfram
Oh yes, because a demo has always been an accurate representation of the final product.
This is the intro-sequence we are talking about here, which has been stripped down of virtually any choice whatsoever to keep the size of the demo down as much as possible. They even cut out the ability to holster your gun while there was no combat going on.

And I agree completely with Ottemis on this one, I will judge the game in 5 Days when it is released here, and then post a verdict of some kind, not before.
Judging a product from a few streams, reviews and a demo is like judging the ride-quality of a car just by looking at the exterior or by hearsay of other people who have already driven it.

EDIT: Autodialogue is only used in Action-Mode, which almost completely strips out the dialogue choices.
So if the stream was shot in that mode, then there you go...

EDIT 2: This will actually be my last word on this case, because frankly I don't want to watch other people literally BATHE in negativity over something they have not even seen in its complete version yet.
I know that I can be a negative punk sometimes as well, but this is ludicrous and not worth my time anymore, I got better things to do.

You realize that the easiest answer to your problem with the shortened dialogue situation is that this a Galatic War right? What I don't understand is why people on here are so compelled to have length conversations in areas that are battlefields. And if you aren't going to buy the game that is fine. State your piece then leave it at that.

@Ottemis  I was under the impression that this was a place where people care about the personality of their Shepards.  Since I almost exclusively play Femshep, I thought it was an appropriate way to discuss how to deal with the limited ability to express that in the game.

That's what I was telling myself

But by all accounts, the intro sequence has no extra choice in the main game.  And the spoily stream I posted the link to is just as lacking in dialogue choice.

They even cut out the ability to holster your gun while there was no combat going on.

Um, that's been cut for the whole game, not just the demo.  Bioware have told us that

edit:  The stream had full decisions enabled.

@Genshie - I'm not talking about the amount of dialogue.  I wish Shepard was talking less.  What I'm talking about is the lack of control over that dialogue.

Well my previous answer still applies it is a warzone. There is very little time to think and actually choose what you want to say. Also Casey  Hudson himself said that in the long run all Shepards are the same at the core being an alliance military soldier. Remember this isn't a pure RPG and I think you were expecting something that was never really there to begin with.

@Wulfram: Yes, that doesn't mean it's a place to rail on a game that's not even out yet. It's nonsensical.
Aside from that this is the Femshep thread, if you have real concerns about the direction they took ME3 as a whole, I would say this is not really the place to talk about it, especially not now.

Some of us are trying to not pay attention to what people assume/say/rage about, because we want to judge the game for ourselves when it comes out. Some of us also need to wait a small week before we can start playing this game, for ourselves, to form a personal opinion.

The intro is quite fast paced, things happen quickly. Do you expect characters to stand down for ten minutes so you can choose your investigate options in dialogue there?

And the stream doesn't even show the full mission, let alone the fact that even their video description is wrong.

Like to mention again that most if not all these streams are illegal so god only knows what they will show in the long run.

You're welcome, but if you pull assumptions towards the game we're still waiting to play to form an opinion on (seeing this is a NO spoiler thread that was an easy assumtion to make) it would seem way more prudent to save this kind of talk till AFTER the game is released in a NO spoiler thread, and look for one of the spoiler-threads or groups that are centred around just the concearns you are trying to voice right now.

@Phoenix_Fyre:
I think I'll start off with Laire =)

No nothing you really stated even refers to Femshep. You are talking about the game as a whole. That is fine but trying to push your opinion on others is not fine especially since you already stated that you aren't going to be buy the game to begin with right?

My question is does the older dress import though from Kasumi Stolen Memories dlc? My guess is it doesn't and that new dress is basically the current one right? I actually don't think that one is that bad. I think it depends on the femshep

How are you going to play your femshep in ME3 is very much about femshep.

But clearly people don't want to talk about it, so bye.
