Suffice to say I despised the endings. The Deus Ex ghost child was ridiculous. The choices were ridiculous. Not to mention it left me with a feeling of depressed emptiness and a longing for closure. I sat there thinking 'Everything I've done throughout the series has been completely pointless'.

And don't even get me started about how they handled the ME2 Romances (mostly Jacob and Thane). That was the biggest load of crap and lack of thought on the writers part I've ever seen.

I'm almost afraid to look. (I've been spending my morning reading spoilers about endings.) My next curiousity was the other romances that weren't Kaidan/Ashley because I was thinking how I barely saw the other LIs in the game while getting tons and tons of good scenes with the VS. =/ In fact, it took so long for me to run into Jacob that I don't know if I want to spend the time importing my Jacob-romance Shepard over. Probably better off you-tubing it.

Edit: I just youtubed Jacob's romance in ME3 and my jaw dropped. Holy moley. JFC. What a slap in the face.

Edit 2: I just caught up on the terrible resolutions to the ME2 romances and feel even worse than I did when I beat the game last night. =/

I too dispise the treatment of the ME2 romances. The fact that Jacob cheats on the mosr lethal woman in the galaxy after falling in love with her is pure character assassination.

***Spoiler***

I feel so terrible for Shepard. She has the worst outcome in all three end-game options. It is not what I wanted and I know that it was not what my character, Devi, wanted. Devi's an idealistic fighter and in some ways even a saint, but in the end she really just wants to regain some normalcy, a long rest, and time with Kaiden........Only that all must be sacrificed for the good of all organic species. For a character so selfless, give her a damn break for once. She already died in the second game. No need for another death to have a satifying conclusion.

BioWare took my innards and messed around with them. I felt like this  when credits started rolling. It didn't make me happy, satisfied or anything like that. It made me feel sick.

Heh I was all looking forward to importing my femShep Sentinel into ME3.
Than I beat it with my canon Dude Shep.

Needless to say I have to much respect for her or my other Sheps to put them through that.
Now where is my: "I payed 200 dollars, and spent 150 hours to GET THIS ENDING" shirt?

BioWare has got issues. The thing is, with ending like this and how it makes people feel, I don't know if I want to feel that feeling again.

Definitely not.  It's my fault for getting far too attached to Shepard and the characters, but I don't think I can put myself through that again.  I have 11 Shepards and I was very excited about bringing all of them through ME3, but now... eh.  The rest of the game is just so good that I told myself I'd play them all up to the ending and stop there, but I tried to start my renegade Garrusmancer yesterday and... just couldn't do it.  I just kept thinking about where she would end up, and it was too depressing.

I agree.

I just cant play a game knowing that there is no happy ending, no real epilouge, and no hope.
Why even bother to play if Shepard cant make it.

I mean all my canon Shepard wanted was to settle down...maybe on Rannoch with Tali, or my main FemShep who just wanted to be an ass kicking Spectere with Garrus.....but alas we must feed the grimdark cycle some more.

Yeah. It feels like there's no point. Also, how in hell Kaidan managed to teleport back to Normandy, without a scratch?!? Did he run exactly opposite direction than Shepard? He was in the same squad all the time! What the hell were they thinking!

Also, they basically butchered the whole IP with that ending.

That is actually the part I hate the most. I do not buy for a second that any of the people you'd take with you would not be by Shepard's side until it was physically impossible for them to do so. I don't buy that they wouldn't charge toward the beam with Shepard or that they wouldn't try to go after Shepard if they were still alive. Putting aside that it makes no sense as to how the Normandy got close enough to extract them anyway, I absolutely do not believe they would leave. IMO they got killed by the Reaper beam. I think them somehow being alive and magically on the Normandy is supposed to be a "reward" for the player, but lol, um, no. It just adds more irritating questions.

Remain hopeful people, apparently Bioware are fully aware of all the anger and nerd rage on the forums but they're just not ready to respond yet which makes me think they're thinking along the lines of 'oh crap, we really need to fix this but how?'

I also do not understand why Normady is fleeing like that. They took the mass relay WHY?

Hell, it doesn't even matter if they wanted to run away.  They could be running the opposite direction and screeching for a pick-up and I'd still say it's physically impossible for them to end up on the Normandy.  The whole point of the first section in London was that most of the ground team was getting destroyed before it could even land--there's no way the Normandy would risk a needless pick-up at that point.  It was way too hot, and I don't think any of the squadmates would be selfish enough to ask.

I don't necessarily think they were both killed by the Reaper beam, though.  Big Ben aka Major Coats didn't die, and he was in the tank with them on the way there.  I guess he hung back, though I see no reason why he wasn't charging in as well.  (Amusingly your squadmates don't run for the beam with you... I ran backwards for a bit and watched them stand there.  "LOL YOU GOT THIS, SHEPARD").  In my headcanon, Javik was killed by the beam but Kaidan was just badly wounded.

And you honestly believe that they will change anything ? Wake up please, this isn't a fairytale world we are living in.
BioWare just pi**ed on all their loyal fans (AGAIN, i might add) and will call it a day.

Yeah. I don't see how they can fix this. They need to rewrite the whole end. If they do that, I'd raise my hat to BioWare if I had one.

*************SPOILERS *************** (in case you're still playing the game)

I somewhat feel like an idiot for not seeing the ending coming. I really truly honestly thought it was all about building up war assets and paying attention to the military might of each race. I was even scribbling down notes because I thought Shepard's success would depend on delegating roles wisely ("you guys are ground troops, you handle aerial assaults, you guys are backups here and here, etc") much the same way we picked out who did what in ME2's suicide mission. My choices basically boiled down to picking between the red, green, or blue explosions. What?

I'm still absorbing the bitter pill of how the series wrapped up, but once I get past my initial anger, there really were a lot of awesome FemShep moments that I just loved and will probably talk about later. James and FemShep giving each other bloody noses while "dancing" is one example off the top of my head.
