I have nothing against Liara or any of the romances (in fact, I have Shepards for all of them).

Aside from the craptastic endings, one thing that really rubbed me the wrong way was the uneven treatment of romances. Bioware said they would be giving them all good closure. This was a blatant, bald-faced lie.

Liara, Kaidan, Ash, Garrus, Tali all get wonderful romance scenes and continuing content (though even that seemed a bit uneven).

You know what Thane got? A short talk in the hospital, where my Shepard acts like she just wants a booty call. They make out in the waiting room for a few seconds (badly animated btw) and....

That's it. The coup arrives, Thane dies and my Shepard stands there with little to no reaction. I didn't even get the option to say anything to him before he passed.

Sure, I could play through the game with another Shepard who has a 'catered to' romance. That's not gonna make me feel better about how badly this was done, it's just going to remind me.  My canon Shepard, my FAVORITE Shepard... got screwed.

This was my reward for my Shepard staying faithful. It was like a knife in the gut, a slap in the face. Once he passed it was like Thane almost never existed. Then to add even more insult, no paramour achievement and Liara's face while my character sacrifices herself at the end.

The frustration and rage cannot be explained.

No, Bioware. Just, no.

I guess I can say I'm generally happy with how the Liara romance turned out overall, but man, there really were some conversationless dry-spells throughout the game. I mean, c'mon, she and Artemis are supposed to be lovers. I would have appreciated fewer dry "Hello Shepard"s and more of this (or at least talking...)

BioWare! Please! You mentioned before ME3 premiere that you gave FemShep different animations (I was like "Yay!"). Yet what I saw in ME3 was her gorilla walk and run and that wierd sparring with James 0.o I mean come on... FemShep wouldn't fight with him like that, his arms are like her tights, she should be totally anihiliated by James with fighting like that... but oh well. That fight I can forget but I constantly see her gorilla imitations and it's kind of buzz kill, especially since FemShep animations were being mentioned. So.. please Bioware, do something about that?

I've always been a believer in more small meaningful gestures, little displays of affection - nothing too flashy - present in cutscenes throughout the game; to me those little things have more impact than a steamy love scene.

I know what you mean with the dry spells. xP As much as I'd prefer a lot of talking between Shepard and the LI though, it's nice in a way that they're being professional and keeping their minds focused on the war. If anything it makes the few special moments all the more memorable.

Yeah, the ME2-exclusive romances really got the shaft. :/ Jacob's was particularly heartbreaking - and not in a good way.

They say that the female animations are subtle. Can't really make a comparison because I haven't gone through a BroShep run on ME3. The walking animation did throw me off a little though.

I liked that sparring with Vega, personally. A bit out of character for my Infiltrator Jennelyn, but it was a fun scene~

I'm with you Akari... i haven't finished it yet with Allison either. I'm still dealing with the quarian/geth situation, though I did get my Javelin SR. 

More of Allison...coming later today.

  I was actually becomming resentful due to all of the exposure her character gets, particularly in the first half of the game, meanwhile Kaiden is thrown in a hospital. I couldn't help but feel like all of the Liara shippers were especially catered to; almost as if Bioware were trying to push her romance as the "official" one.

I have to disagree with you and AD about Kaidan not getting catered. Yeah it suck that Kaidan was in the hospital nearly the entire first act, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I managed not to get spoiled about the scene on Mars. Let's just say I'm glad no one was home when I played that part. There was much yelling, cursing, and theats of bodily harm. But I like emotional kicks like that.

What got me was the terror you see in Shepard at that moment.


All and all I did not feel in the lease like I got more face time with Liara then Kaidan. And I got plenty of face time with him...


...I said face time! ...Ah screw it, carry on.

And seeing how the Thane and Jacob mancers get completely shafted, Kaidan and Liara mancer are very catered to.

I would have to agree...atleast in Allison n Emma's(Lethania's femshep's) case... 











Edit: though I do have Liara/Thane-mancer femshep as well. I actually avoided theother 2 romances...

Kudo's to you too for the gibbed values right on the ball =) Hopefully when Vesper is done with whatever he's been working on (I assume a ME3 site) we can have your post linked together with the ME2 one (and maybe also your ME1 hexedit guide) and have all the recources together now =)

But yeah, I've made a bunch of them now for people. Texmod runs fine if you know the trick to get it running and it's just so jarring if you had eyeshadow to have it be so much lighter. Makes some Sheps look alot more severe without. Gives them a softer look with now.
Having said that, I'm still willing to make people some specific ones if what they're looking for isn't yet available. (that is, facial texture wise, because that's the limit of my capabilities and spare time atm)

I must thank you again for the awesome texmod, you made for Allison( and eventually all of my femsheps) in ME 3...the smokey make-up/mole combination makes her look even more gorgeous than she did in ME 2. 

I must also thank you ELE...for rocking it so HARD..and bringing the 'Devon' texture to ME 3 as well...as that is what making Allison look more like Allison from ME 2.

Oh, wow; you're right: that thing is a beast! We talking serious damage here. Sniping just got deadlier. There's aweapon that i picked up right after that kinda look like a gatlin/mini gun; can't remember it's name but it is somewhat similar to the guiding laser the Shep uses to paint targets for the Normandy strike...




I got it! itt's the Spitfire: not available in the armory(damn), you can only pick it up - as far as i know - and use it as long as it has ammo. Why don't they allow us to purchase them? unless i'm missing some'
