Also, Sage, I'm in the denial camp too. Let's be in denial together

Here, have some sad Jennifer.

@sage -- Juuuust checking -- did you see ELE's blog where she found the new version of the 'old' sexy hairstyle? I was curious what you thought of it, if you felt that would fit your character more or if you like the current one you stuck with. They're both good, imo!

NOOOO!!! omg, thank you!

yeah. i think i want that other one back. that was more kyrie's style.

Yeah, I'm still debating on whether to use that on my NG+ playthrough or keep the longer hairstyle that I had switched to. I was pleasantly surprised how nice the longer hair looked on her, how it did feel like time marched on, and seeing Jack with her longer hair, too, it just felt like that longer hair fit naturally. But when I saw the hidden sexy style, I pined for it because that was the same style she's had all along. I'm just going to cheat for now and mod the style in the saved scenes and see how she looks in both styles because half of the fun is sharing screenshots on forums once her look is finalized. =p

Also, having seen these tweets and hallucination threads, etc. i am now fully in the camp of 'this is a roadbump, must be more coming.'

i could just be in total denial.

if it's NOT, then ME3 was the most perfect game SERIES, not just game, ever to be destroyed by its last 5 minutes.

if it IS then this game is one of the most amazing pieces of drama/head-f*ck ever.

and i choose to believe the latter.

don't mind me. i'm going to my happy place of optimism that i lived in most of the time between the end of horizon until well...

i'm still there.

denial is made easier with fanfiction.

Hey, you and me both. I was firmly aware that this could just be denial, but you know how you get this gut feeling that something is off? That tweet where Evil Chris couldn't confirm if the squadmates were dead or not because he wasn't sure if that info was released? Really? It's a simple question.

Did you see this image that's being passed around about the next supposed DLC? http://i41.tinypic.com/io3zi8.png Worst case scenario, we find out in a month if it's wrong. I'm more than happy to eat crow pie, I have no problem with that. I am glad to not be depressed and clinging to the hallucination theory makes it so much easier to do replays and to not feel bad when I see the love interest's face flash by. And if that image is right, that picking the final color will be a factor and carry over, that gives me incentive to play my pro-Cerebus gal and to have her go for "control" like TIM did.

there was something posted on the ME wiki that stated the writers put these endings in as a way to get back at everyone for leaking the game back in November and to give themselves to work on the main ending the way they wanted to and that there'd be a DLC, most likely free, that continues the story after the decision base on what you chose (maybe Shepard keeps fighting after her inhale scene, or becomes indoctrinated after disolving in the control ending) hearsay right now but it sounds good.

Maybe you're right, AD and God bless you if you are, but this is what gets me about ME3 the most.  The utter grief that people are feeling, denial, bargaining, anger, etc, etc, mirrors the grief felt in the game, especially as conditions on the Citadel deteriorate.  It’s like the young girl waiting for her parents.  It’s going to be okay.  There will be more to come, I just know it. I don’t think so.  I think this is it.  This is the end of Shepard’s story.  Whether you see it as Shep fighting indoctrination and thereby preserving her humanity or uplifting all organics and synthetics to a realm that we cannot even imagine, this is the end.

I can't find it. Phoenix heavy ME2 armor is in the useable files, but I don't see anything else. It's probably in one of the level files, which means it's more trouble than it's worth to get on Shepard.

That's the thing that would bother me about a DLC end. I'm torn. I wouldn't mind more content, but what a giant FU. Here's the end of the trilogy you waited for, paid for, except trololol this isn't the real ending? Not likely. Highly unscrupulous is that's the case.

Hahaha. :D

One of things that didn't make sense to me was that in each game, there was always a big bad boss to triumph over in the end. In ME3, each major priority mission had a huge boss to take down (the reaper one on one, for example). The finale just had us fighting a few waves followed by a halfassed conversation with TIM and spacekid and ... that was it. I remember thinking during the TIM conversation that I hoped he wasn't about to turn into a boss because Shepard was in no shape to fight him. She didn't even have squadmembers or the ability to access her powers. That right there just felt like something was off, that it wasn't complete. That leads to two things -- they rushed the end and shot themselves in the foot or there really is more coming.

Someone already figured it out but it was awhile ago you basically just rename TexMod.exe to MassEffect3.exe then the original .exe to something else like MassEffect3OLD.exe then launch it from Origin. This starts TexMod so no you go back rename MassEffect3.exe back to TexMod and MassEffect3OLD.exe to MassEffect3.exe then you select that from TexMod and launch it. You have to do this little naming switch everytime you start the game since that's just how Origin rolls.

It works though:

I'd rather Harbinger be 'the boss' and taking him out destroys all the other Reapers b/c...he's the master or something...or the first Reaper and the others rely on him.

Okay, that's not very good...but it's better!

Hope.

Q: During the final run, just before the end, are the two squadmates with you killed? I understand if you can't answer.
A: I don't think we've revealed that yet. Sorry.

I agree, they make it a point to have HArbinger to come down from he space battle, land at the continent and try to blow Shepard to hell. apparently there's cut dialogue of Joker and Normandy blowing up HArbinnger as Shepard limps into the conduit, I wish I could hear Jeff boast about that.Posted Image

Well, if it's coming and free as claimed and they needed more time for it after game release, then I'd say we can't really complain can we. Will have to see and reserve judgement till it's either proven fact or fiction.
If it messes with logical continuity, that'd be sloppy, for sure. But we'll see.

Some anitvirus programs sandbox texmod. Check the settings or re-install antivirus to be sure. Toss it in your exception lists. Might still get some popup though, mine's very stubborn that way (AVG).

But yeah in essence you're fooling Origin in thinking it's booting the game, while it's actually booting a renamed version of texmod.exe. Afterwards you rename that exe back to texmod, and you copy the original game exe back in (or rename it if you didn't move it) which you then load via texmod. Note that you have to boot texmod through Origin, not just directly via the exe file, otherwise it won't work either.

After every ending you get this message:

“Commander Shepard has become a legend by ending the Reaper threat. Now you can continue to build that legend through further gameplay and downloadable content.”

This would be a blatant lie if we get a new DLC ending, and it all was just a dream. But I wouldn't be too angry about it ;)

The ending as it is now is really absurd. Why did no Reaper attack the crucible? Why is only the Illusive Man there and not a horde of monsters waiting for me?

Roslyn picture time. as I just find the ending odd and not rage quit worthy, I'm in my second game.

It is very odd when the game is more respectful to the romance when you kill off Jacob then when he is in the third game. the second nightmare was filled with his voice and he was who she spoke of to Liara the next morning. She talked of how dependable he was and that she missed him.
since Roslyn has no options as a straight female (kaidan died in the first game) I decided she fell for Trayner.

I restarted her game because I didn't like the dyed hair and harsh makeup I had given her.

well, every time i run my mind over the last 5 minutes, the more they DON'T add up. like in MASSIVE ways.

this article sums it up well, but in a RAGE! sort of way.

however, considering how everything up to that point played so well with the ME universe (okay, specific plots for thane and jacob sucked, but the universe was consistent, i mean), there are, as i see it, two explanations:

1 - the writers threw the entire series under the bus at the last minute because they are evil, lazy, crazy, take your pick

OR

2 - StarChild is a liar and something else is afoot.

equal parts confidence in the writers and distrust of Reaper plottings lead me to the latter.

For now i try not to think too much about it, every new cryptic tweet, theory and speculation just makes me more confused and distracted. I just hope for some official word soon.
