I like Drea's transition. :) She's visibly matured across three games.

Liara's visit to Shepard's cabin doubled my suspicion that Shepard would die at the end (atleast as the current ending stands). Even in a friendly context this scene was very touching though I wonder how it plays out with characters that haven't established any type of relationship with Liara.

I thought mini-Devi was adorable and much less disturbing to look at than her VI counterpart:

Okay, the forums are acting a bit strange with Image Shack links and it cut off the last section of my post (are my images even appearing?):

.......eh, these images really sobered me up. Devi decided to let Liara decide on how to best enshrine Devi's legacy. Shepard is a humble person and although she puts up a front of unshakable optimism, Liara's intentions with the time capsule are a sharp reminder of what is truly at stake with the fight against the Reapers.

Time for a smiley face which is far more common in this game and I am happy for it. Funny how more smiles come with the darkest game in the trilogy.

That's it for picture bombs, for now.

Yeah I also took that scene as not being a very good sign for the survivial of Shepard. I was still hoping at that point that somehow someway I'd pull out a kind of happy ending. Tragedy with heavy loses but alright in the end. Then I seen the last dream and when dream Shepard hugs the boy I thought "Well... ****." That was the nail in the coffin... literally.

Posted Image

Regardless, I really liked that scene. I had always headcanon that though Shepard and Liara had been friends in ME1 a deep rift had been drawn when Shepard found out about Liara giving Cerberus Shepard's body. I chose the "You did this to me!" line. LotSB was them making up and their relationship becoming strong for it.

Looking at the state of the galaxy as a whole and the war in specific, that scene and the assumption from Liara we might All die before long wasn't all that strange. The game having been void of these things would just have been unrealistic. Even though with, should say nothing more then reflect the state of the world. That it's possible Shepard does actually die was in hindsight because as I understand it, she can also live. It also all makes sense seeing the state of things, if it wasen't a real possibility nobody would feel as bleak, and half the galaxy wouldn't be dead.

I wouldn't take these things as 'hints' of any kind, ifnot to simply reflect the outlook of Shep('s friends) logical in such a situation. Just my opinion.

I'm very positive the end has a second part, that's why when you choose to destroy, your shepard wakes up at the end on earth.

Bolded: That is the impression I was getting from that scene...hell, I got that sort of impression out of alot of the scenes I ahve seen in the game thus far. I haven't completed Allison's playthrough yet( omw to Horizon...with max reputation, 100% readiness rating, all side quest complete, all N7 missions complete, and all but one hub world/fetch quests complete).

Ohh and SR= i got my widow sniper rifle in both SP and MP now.

Vega.  I ended up liking him a lot more than I expected.  Despite his ridiculous buff-ness.

I like that the flirting never goes anywhere.  They have a great dynamic.  I think he'd be a good LI, but not in the timeline of ME3.  Don't ask me to explain.  I have the sudden urge to headcanon femShep survives ME3 and spends the rest of her life on earth.  Reapers defeated, relays intact, but the infrastructure of the galaxy is practically rubble. Everyone must rebuild.  Then I could see them getting involved, maybe over the course of months or years.  *Pictures femShep and Vega sitting on lawn chairs on a roof somewhere shooting the **** and trying to figure out civilian life on post-Reaper earth*  Yeah, I like fluff.  What of it?!

...

On a completely separate topic.  I groused enough about it, but I put all my Sheps into ME3.  Gibbed editor is a lifesaver.

Let's compare shall we:

GOREGEOUS! as always.

also vega: yeah, they have a great dynamic, but you're right. he seems the kind of guy who would flirt and flirt and in the NEXT game would get around to asking. silly boy. you don't have much time. there's a war on, ya know? still, frag grenade. saved my butt quite a few times.

Yeah I don't see how that's relevant to what I was saying though.
Also, I'm not at the end yet, so I won't be reading all of that. Though I've (obviously) been somewhat spoiled, I'd rather not know the finer details untill I can actually experience it for myself. Speculation or no =)

In regards to foreshadowing of death. Preparing for that possible outcome seems like the logical thing to do when facing an advanced race of synthetic/organic monster starships that have been harvesting life for countless millenia before you.

Doesn't make it inevitable, nor do I expect to be practically railroaded into it in a videogame like this. Would have made it that much more satisfying for me to have Shepard have some kind of concrete victory in the end. She makes a living of doing the impossible, that's kind of her thing. Until now. Bummer.

If it's true and there is actually some sort of future "ending" DLC to correct the current endings, then just announce it already, BioWare, and reassure your fanbase who are really upset right now. :?

If it's false and there is no future "ending" DLC.... well.... then comments like these is BioWare's just f***ing with their hurt fanbase. <_<

This is why Shepard survives for me.  (From an OOC/gamer perspective, I prefer Destroy to the other options by a HUGE margin and my completionist tendency isn't gonna let me get away without enough EMS to get that "Shep breathing" scene.)  I love the idea that Shep just. won't. die.  There's something poetic about her dying in the end of ME3 for sure.  Kinda like Starbuck in BSG, she was brought back to fulfill a purpose and once her goal is accomplished it's time for her to go.  But for me, I prefer the idea that Shepard continues to beat every single odd thrown at her.  She just doesn't know how to give up and by god she's not going to let something like impending galactic extinction kill her.

I'm assuming this was written in the spirit of "wow, watching FemShep overcome her pain to get the job done was beautifully inspiring."

Of course.

You guys can make fun of me for asserting the synthesis ending is the technological singularity, but regardless I'm surprised that I seem to be the only one who was so inspired by femshep getting up in the middle of the battlefield and continuing her mission with every last bit of energy and determination she had left. It was so moving, it's one of the defining moments of her character, and you guys want to ignore it, say it never happened, that it was a dream.

@Atlas -- Don't think anyone is making fun of you. Emotions are raw to various degrees and people are purging their feelings rather than directing anything at anyone. I agree with you on how beautiful Shepard's resilience is -- it's a picture of two extreme ends: frailty and resolve. I don't think it's a dream per se. I do think she's hallucinating and either 1) this is her mind fighting and going through the physical motions or 2) this is really happening, she's incredibly hurt, but like the the Legion quest, in an artificial environment created by the harbinger to interact with her. She's still f-ed up at the end of the "destroy" ending so her injuries don't scream "never happened" to me.

@Atlas

I liked to see Shepard keep on fighting with her very being, no doubt about that. It's beautiful in it's own way but i can't ignore the rest. I've already said what i think about it so won't do it again but yes i refuse to acknowledge the majority, not everything..
