Yup. I kinda figured that no one wouldn't try it. No copy&pasting from image, makes difference I guess.silverhammer08 wrote...
@Tup

I just thought that was some code you cooked up for demonstration purposes xD

Actually, the scene within the Geth Consensus reminded me a lot of "The Grid" in TRON, especially the way the reaper code-segments disperse when hit by the gun and the way the floor flies in.

No doubt, but I'm pretty sure they've taken cues from a lot of things. The floor tiles flying in reminded me of Magneto from X2 and there are many places in the music that remind me of the score from TRON: Legacy. Not a bad thing by any means, because all of it rocks, lol.

I honestly can't see her as a paragon. It's like they purposely made her to be a renegade. Maybe it's the red hair :
Thanks!

I have a lot of catching up to do with this thread, but I finally finished the game last night and... meh.
I don't want to go too much in to it as I know some people still haven't finished (that and people have probably talked it to death already), but I find it hard to believe that BioWare thought that was a good way to end the story of Shepard and the Mass Effect trilogy. It felt like someone had cut the ending from another game and slapped it in there. Everything up to that point had been amazing and then... well, you know the rest.
After three games and god knows how many hours, it felt like a real kick in the crotch when I heard the Faunts tune start up and I knew the credits were about to roll. I didn't expect or want a fairytale 'and they all lived happily ever after' style ending, but I expected something more than what I got.

Yup.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I still think it's either 'plot in flames' or only the beginning (re-linking my blog post about it, in case you care, Akari). There's not a whole lot of middle ground. Some days, the very extreme nature of the ending gives me hope. It's SO off that it can only be the prelude to more or its a dead, screeching halt. I waver between: "It's going to turn out to be the best writing EVER!" And then the next moment I'm like, "It WAS the best writing ever until it went down in flames."
I don't agree with the uber-hate, but neither do I appreciate the "Don't complain, that's how the story happened and you have no right to be upset." line either. We were asked to co-author the story from the start, so fans have every right to want to see the story actually live up to it's "your choices matter" promise.
Of course, we also have a responsibility to be civil about it, which is what I'm trying to do. Based off of rumors I've heard, I imagine we'll hear nothing but "We're listening" for a few weeks yet, so I'm just trying to pace myself and be patient. Beyond that, outlining and starting in on fanfic. If this pans out into the glorious ending DLCs I wish for, it will keep me busy until then. If it does not, then I'm going to write the ending I think ought to be coming and use that as consolation.

I didn't expect, want or need a fairytale, everyone lives, no one dies type ending, but a range of endings with different outcomes was the minimum I expected depending on Shepard's decisions throughout the trilogy. Endings ranging from the reapers are defeated and Shepard survives to live out her life however she wants, down to Shepard fails and the reapers win, and everything in-between. What I didn't expect was a one size fits all style ending that could be recreated with a black and white image and a box of crayons.
