How do you guys make your custom shepards look so good?

I spend ages on mine but have yet to make one who doesn't end up looking look really demented in game :( Is there a face codes database up yet?

I think I speak for everyone when I say that a custom Shepard is a labor of love~ A lot of time and patience goes into each one. It's impressive really what a lot of people have done with their respective Shepards. Mass Effect is blessed to have a creative and passionate fanbase. ;)

Like someone already mentioned there's http://www.masseffect2faces.com. That's the only facecode database that I know of. I suggest browsing through there. Once you see something you like, use that as a base, then tweak it as you see fit and make it your own. Or run with it as is if you're happy with how she looks like.

EDIT: ToP Shep.

Lol, this CNN review:

There are plenty of surprises throughout the game. The big one was the availability of a female Shepard, which was sought after by many fans of the franchise.

I guess I dreamed playing FemShep in ME1/2.

Yeah! It was AMAZING  how they allowed Sheploo to finally have a sex change at the last minute. It really helped him focus for battle to finally connect with his feminine side.

http://desmond.image....jpg&res=medium

"Thank you, Mordin. I can't tell you how much this means to me."

That makes me feel even sicker than before. There's something really wrong about Femloo.

Thnx for the nice comments guys =)

@zingro: Yes, she's shared here. This entry is for ME2. Only thing you need to do when you input this code into ME3 is change the eyebrow colour back one tick. (I've actually tweaked her from her original code a tad in 3, but nothing you'd be likely to notice ingame)

Also note, I'm using a facial texmod for her in ME3, so purely from the code she'll look quite 'bare' in comparison.
If you're interested in such things and playing on a pc, check out these projects.

The recoil on that baby is heavenly~ I was reluctant to part with it by the time I could afford the Black Widow.

It's so sexy...

...and I realize that this is the only decent shot I have with it. Have to fix that.

I really like Widow's fire pouwah but the reload speed and capacity is massive downsides. Valiant does more damage for that reason .Head shot, dead. Head shot, dead. Even if they have shields and armour it does really bad damage.

My head, back, eyes, chest, stomach... Hurst everywhere. I hate fever; no vomiting this time, though. At least Räikkönen had pretty decent race after the qualifying screw up.

Allison is so cool, as usual - beautiful pic/ lot of emotions. I'll be looking forward to hearing your two cents about your run. Interesting weapon loadout. The carniflex bailed me out in the final stages -  amazing piece of machinery. I had Garrus and Vega as squadmates for most of the game and in the final stage; they were admirable, dropping hostiles like nothing; Garrus loadout was phaeston/javelin and Vega revenant/claymore. It was a slaughter. I got close to crossing over many times (freaking banshees) and those guys kept blasting like there's no tomorrow.

I don't have the CE (yet); how does the valiant compare to the black widow(haven't tried it yet)? Are they both bolt action like the widow or semi auto?
What happened to you man? Ihope you're getting better.

It's amazing how much Sheps look like individual - and real - people now, rather than 'just another FemShep'

I've always loved the original Widow but it was lacking when you had several enemies attacking you. The Black Widow kind of solves that problem with 3 bullets/reload and it still have a nasty kick so i'm probably going to stick with it for the majority of the game. If anything the Black Widow look a hell lot better than the brown Widow.

Yeah, N7 Valiant wins with how stable and quick it is. Pop, pop, pop, reload, pop, pop, pop.

I love the Black Widow for sheer destructive power. You get three shots before reload, same as Valiant. Can't really do much about that shoulder-shattering recoil though. >__< Oh wells. I'm still a slave to it.

Three shots before reload and more powerful than Viper. Reloading is fast.

Nothing too dramatic, just flu. Feverish sort (pretty high though, last night was pure torture). Fever always makes me really weak and causes every possible muscle to hurt.

I agree. They did a good job with the realism.

Love the comparison shots. x3 You can really see the jump in graphic quality.
