I feel the same Sage. I was hoping for an open ended ending something like.

Shepard is standing on the bridge of the Normandy over looking Earth. Scene cuts to people rebuilding, captains commanding troopers. Shepard turns to look out into the void of space. "Joker," she says with smile, "those stars are awful far away. Bring them to me."
Joker gives a light laugh, "Aye, aye, ma'am."

Or Shepard has a LI and they are alive at the end of the game, maybe this.

Shepard speaking with the heads of the allied races, human, asari, turian, salarian, etc. They are speaking of rebuilding, of alliances and hope. A ray of hope after all the pain and lose they have endured. Shepard nods and turns leaving the room. Stepping out the door she hears, "Hey."
Turning she sees love interest leaning against the wall arms cross. S/He smiles, "Ready to get out of here."
Shepard returns the smile, "Hell yeah."

Was that so hard?! No!! Give us a win or a heroic death but leave it open ended enough that we can fill in the blanks. Trying to fill in the blanks with the current ending is just depressing as hell.

I'm still fuming over how Jacob was treated. I couldn't even talk to him with Kallen after I saw the video of a romanced Shepard with him or Brynne because I just wanted to shoot her for Kat.He's the prime example of the ME2 only LI's getting the shaft.

That's actually really good. A lot of the fan endings give me a headache because they are too focused on LI's and take the ending from a grand finish to an intimate relationship but this actually works because it both ends in grand manner and allows for a workable way around the whole LI for single Sheps. Anyway well done, it would have been nice if they had stratified the endings liek most people were expecting instead of going plural variations the way the did when only one choice seems to fit since it's pretty much been  the goal from day one.

@sage -- I'm in exact same boat as you are and agree 100% about the indoctrination. I'm frustrated by the stonewalling though. When I finish my second game, that's probably going to be it for me if there's still no news on the horizon. The replay is like watching a movie twice in which I pick up on things I didn't notice the first time. This exchange with Anderson and Hackett take on more meaning now:

Hackett: "Once decoded, the schematics are designed in such a way that allows our scientists to easily translate the information. It's not Prothean specific."

Hackett: "That's still open for debate. Utilized in the right fashion, our scientists are convinced it can generate enough energy to destroy the reapers. The question is how will it dispense the energy and in what form?"

Allison is so cool, as usual - beautiful pic/ lot of emotions. I'll be looking forward to hearing your two cents about your run. Interesting weapon loadout. The carniflex bailed me out in the final stages -  amazing piece of machinery. I had Garrus and Vega as squadmates for most of the game and in the final stage; they were admirable, dropping hostiles like nothing; Garrus loadout was phaeston/javelin and Vega revenant/claymore. It was a slaughter. I got close to crossing over many times (freaking banshees) and those guys kept blasting like there's no tomorrow.

Thank you so much for ALL the lovely comments about Allison( not just you but everyone here who has commented on her). My weapon loadout is kinda what I was intending from the start when I noticed how badass the javelin n saber wear... I took the carinfex because I figured that pistol would be used in the closing cutscene it deserves to be shown off during the final fights as well. Her final squadmates were her original ME 1 main squad which is Garrus( of course, he being her LI) with the widow n phaestron equipped and Liara (her BFF [other than Miranda] and would have been romance if not for a certain Turian.) with the N7 hurricane and scorpion pistol equipped. I took Garrus just about EVERYWHERE with me in this game, which is normal since he is all round useful in all 3 games...

About the end...I'm pretty much in the same boat as Akari about it...which is...meh. I did however LOVE the part with Anderson and TIF. I of course in typical me fashion hit the renegade interrupt and put bullet in TIF...right between the eyes.  Which leads me to what I HATED...which is the whole pic a color end. I so wanted to do Chig's gif( the NO, I WILL NOT PICK A ****ing COLOR!  one )on that damn kid...especially since I had see him for the 5th time in the game( 3 of those being the damn dream sequence). I eventually decided to go with the 'Anderson/Paragon' Destroy all synthetics end...which while it meant not only the destruction of the reapers but the geth too and the mass relays, which Allison struggled with...but I didn't like the middle-ground synthesis option for her as that didn't seem to work for her and the 'TIF/Renegade' Control option didn't really fit with her personality either. So, Destroy it was...and now we will and see what happens next....

Once again thanks for all the comments, it was a wild ride... and I hope you will continue to stay with as I take Allicia Shepard through the game next...though she's gonna go through some said moments(which i will roleplay) when she gets to the Citadel part...

I have to say that Shepard hardly smiles in ME3. I at least managed to skip pretty much every smiling shots apparently.


This is pretty much the best I have at the moment. I think she's at least partly happy...

Amen to that! Why couldn't they have that as one of the endings? *sighs*

Wow those are some pearly teeth. You sure you didn't unlock some sort of secret teeth menu in the CC? 

I do have more smiley shots than I expected, though not of the full on grin variety. You do get to meet a lot of old friends in the game which prompts smiling. This is from talking to Dr. Chuckles for the first time.

Your choice fits Allison. I don't see her going with the 2 other options; her drilling TIM's forehead...he had it coming. I'm expecting more too...hopefully soon.

I do recall that she smiles at least twice with Joker. One while she's sitting on the citadel bench with him (and EDI is shopping) and the other one is in the purgatory bar. I think the bulk of them come from crew/companion interactions. Most of the time they're real faint though.

Edit: I totally missed Krazy's screenshot with Joker at the top of this page. That one is a good example of a smile!

Yes, it does...  Eventhough I did a total face change on her. Something about the way I made her in ME 1 didn't feel right to me so I changed it. 

Now, you know why infils are second to only Vanguards in preferred class choice...I didn't mention her VS for a reason, as eventhough she did nuke Kaidan on Virmire, I'm going to gibb him into my game so I can get his bonus powers...as the other femshep who brought him over Gabriella is in the beginning of ME 2...she is an infiltrator as well...just she is colonist, war hero and a renegon( though I'm gonna heal the scars from her).
