I have to say that it's sounding more and more plausible.

Oh wait... It's Anderson!?

EDIT2:
Well, let's put Shepard on top too.

Question: Do you think that the child is not real and that Shepard is just seeing thing?

I think the kid at the very beginning is real. And even if he is not, he is the instrument of Shepard's guilt, yet another person Shepard couldn't save. If this all proves to be true the kid will probably be one of the things that is left up to us to decide. What matters is the Catalyst used that guilt.

I will agree with this..actually I agree with the statement as a whole...if only because as far as I can tell you see this kid at 5 different points in the game...first time on Vancouver, 3 times in dream sequences, and the last time he appears as the catalyst itself. So, it wouldn't suprise me if that is what catalyst wants to use to sway Shepard into her decision one way or the other.

Yeah. Reapers are trying to break Shepard by using that boy (or the memory of that boy to be more specific). That's how I see it too.

Who is to say that the Catalyst is even aware that it is appearing to Shepard as a child? Perhaps Shepard's own mind, independent of anything else, is interpreting the Catalyst's ghostly image as appearing like the child, whose death stuck in her mind as particularly gruesome, wanton, and unnecessary.

I misred your question; i thought you meant the catalyst
as far as the kid goes, i don't know. I think Shepard's memory of him acts as a conduit though.

I'm kind of divided about this. The kid might be real but it might also be a halucination so i don't know what to think. There're evidence that point that the kid might be fake since no one help it when it tries to get on the shuttle but it might just be missed since it's a small kid and the soldiers are focused on saving as many as possible.
So i honestly don't know what i think about this.

+1.

In the end it doesn't really matter if the kid was real, a construct of the Reapers, or a product of Shepard's mind.  He serves the same purpose.

Same here. My personal theory is that the kid Shepard sees at the start, playing with the toy ship is real. But after that, it's Harbinger putting images in her head, again because nobody else seems to see the kid at any point after the Reapers arrive.

On another note, Eurogamer just published an article on femShep and her "accidental" rise to fame. Very interesting read, particularly on the points that much of her appeal comes from BioWare's apathy and them not actively trying to make a "female space hero." http://www.eurogamer...rise-of-femshep

Shepard: What do you mean Go Directly to Jail? I've been locked up for the past six months. This is so not fair.
Turian General: You still owe me 106,000,000 credits for landing on Park Place, Commander.
Shepard: That's because of all your gaddamned hotels!
Liara: You stole the thimble from me. I don't want to play any more.

At what point in the game can you get Ken and Gabby matched up? I missed that my first time.

The next game will just be Shepard flying
around the galaxy calling in all owed drinks and collecting paper
umbrellas as trophies.

This is an acceptable DLC to me. Also, i want commander Shepard to defend elcor with missile launchers on their backs. this would be too hilarious to pass up.

Yes.

I view nearly every piece of evidence in this video as fact.

Yes (meaning it's not real), then yeah, I don't believe that the kid is real either. The one playing with the ship might have been real but after that... I dunno. Especially when he climbs to the ship (no one else notices that kid).

Interesting points by Angry Joe:
youtu.be/ZZOyeFvnhiI

I'm completely on board with the indoctrination theory, it's the only way I can make sense of what happened at the end of ME3.

in the beginning, it makes sense. no one else sees this kid and he magically disappears into a vent. even small children do not climb into small spaces without making a LOT of noise about it. seriously, my 2 year old has routinely gotten herself stuck inside of cabinets around the house and you hear her wailing from rooms away. i mean, maybe this kid is super ninja to get through the vents and outside and completely be missed by the people while he clambers onto a shuttle at the last minute. and then he looks almost accusingly, desperately at shepard.

it's possible, and he could be real then. it's the burning with shep dream that i think things start to turn, if they weren't turning already. and clearly at the end, this 'kid' is something else. that's one of those mysteries i think could remain unanswered, though, since for the point of the story, it's clear the transition happens somewhere, but doesn't need to be crystal clear where (kid always a reaper pawn, kid's image co-opted for discussion time?) doesn't matter.  but other details strike me as 'need to know.'

i guess if info is on a need to know basis, we don't need to know? until april 6, i'm hoping PAX will have bioware giving answers.

oh, and just saw this by Lordless Alicia:

And that is how i want this story to end. Only with a party for everyone else, too.

Did you guys have to do much work to get your FemSheps looking "right" in ME3? I did a little tweaking to the eye position, and the eyeshadow color was WAY off, and sometimes I look at her and think "oh yeah, there's Alice"...

I lucked out, it seems. It took me a little while to get used to how Aki looked, but after some consideration I think she's at her closest to what I originally imagined in ME3. Aki's got a round face, and it bugged me slightly that I needed to compensate for eye shape 3 being a little too small in ME1 & 2 by loading on the black eyeshadow. In ME3 the eye shape is bigger and thus much less eyeshadow works better.

Colour-wise I only needed to tweak the eye brow colour and hair colour a notch. Eye colour was actually easier - ME1 used to have a very dark brown iris option, but ME2 did not so I used Gibbed to hack the ME1 values back in. ME3 seems to have restored the option.

I think the kid is real and dies in the shuttle explosion, and the dream sequences and appearance at the end is Shepard's mind trying to deal with the guilt. Whether that's due to Reapers messing with her head or simple crushing weight of responsibility is open to debate.

Did everyone else spot the kid scooting into the building during the run over the solar panels, by the way? I didn't see him until the third or fourth time through the prologue, but it made at least a little more sense of why the husks ran over to the building and clawed at it, completely missing the two well armed marines dropping down behind them.

Today, I stumbled across Beyoncé's "Save the hero"  which reminded me of FemShep.

I really like it that Bioware allowed Shepard to finally be emotionally vulnerable, more human in Mass Effect 3 and I think that Jennifer Hale communicated these emotions pretty damn well. Hale truly 'lives' her characters and that is what I cherish most about her.

Holy CRAP yes, that's hopeful.  That is pretty much exactly what i'd hoped to hear, except without the 'and we have a DLC with elcors wearing missile launchers and a vegamance and a thane-fix.

but hey, vERY close second. that's actually not deflection speak.

Awww..... BioWare, this makes me very happy.:)

Sometimes I  luck out but most of time I spend a  time in the creator build from the ground up... I usually take on the for the  preset faces strip it down and build from  there....like Roselynn I just   finished her  this morning... still not all the way statisfyed... something about the lighting always makes her look as pale as death..

I did notice it in the demo. But... The Reaper blasts the building and to be honest, there's no freaking way that kid would survive. Shock waves, blasts of fire... and not a scratch?

This. Even if they can't comment, it's nice to see text that reads like they've acknowledged the legitimate critisism of the endings. I think that, artistic expression, taken into account, the plotholes must be addressed. The jump is simply too big now.

So yeah, positive news, overall ^_^

Hmmm, I'll remain optimistic, but it's slowly dwindling with how most of BioWare and Hudson is treating this mess and their fans :? But I shall still hold the line.
