I really liked that too. I do wish there was a renegade trigger option to shoot him (I have a couple of shepards who would be pretty fed up with Kaiden/Ashley by that point and would be tempted to do it). That pipe dream aside, it's a great scene.

I think there is a path where you can shoot him, actually, although I'm only working off what I've read because there's no way I could ever do it Posted Image

No kidding? I sure hope that's true.

I agree with you, I personally wouldn't want to shoot Kaiden but fricken Tess sure would after Horizon and all the bickering and mistrust in ME3. Oh hell yeah she'd pop him if he drew down on her while once again assuming the worst and not giving her the benefit of the doubt. I sure hope you're right about this.  :)

I went looking for where I read it, but I can't for the life of me find it now.

*spoiler*

It said that if you hadn't saved either Thane or Kirrahe then the Salarian councilor dies, and then it's much harder to convince the VS and councilors that you're not trying to kill them. If you don't interrupt/persuade your way out, then either Shepard or a squadmate will end up having to shoot.

*end spoiler*

Damn it, this forum needs proper spoiler tags like TOR has!

Edit: ToP

Spoilers?

I think the only way to kill VS is to be negative to them throughout mars, and not visit them in the hospital.

Don't quote me on this, I only heard it on the grapevine, but it makes sense.

end spoilers?

Found a neat article about Femshep from Eurogamer:  www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-03-21-ms-effect-the-rise-of-femshep

Nice article, although I think it plays to heavily on the "luck" element.  That only goes so far.  Also Not sure why the author despises the term FemShep.  Guess it goes against his gender neutral english lanuage paragraph. However its a term of affection and unity. It gives her the distinctness she deserves. That isnt a bad thing. Uniqueness is good and distinctions such as hero and heroine can be benefit rather then a hindrance.

Good article nevertheless.

Also Ryn got very preoccupied with life. She still makes an appearance from time to time when she can though.

This is what I think. This wasn't Star Wars episode 1 that floundered in the opening lines and was dead in the water within 15 minutes. ME3 was beauty until the end (romances aside, red. i totally hear you there). but it still could be near perfect, if DLC plays cards right.

and if it doesn't, sigh....

headcanon?

I didn't like the term FemShep when I first heard it because it felt second-rate or a bit crass, but of course, that perspective changed into a positive association, a real symbol to be proud of. I can understand the kneejerk reaction.

Funny thing is, I was actually relieved that Shepard didn't have full armor and a squad at the Citadel. That always bothered me in ME2 (probably because of the Gears of War tank armor).

But that's just me. I'm nearly fanatical about immersion.

I second that. It's logical to think that some kind of gun/armor restriction is in place for anyone visiting the citadel(even spectres). Dressing in blue is fitting if you seek an audience with the council. C - sec having jurisdiction, would be the only corps authorized to pack heat within its walls. Goind ashore alone is fine; although being able to choose to go alone or not is even better.

It's funny how much things have changed since ME1. Then, even before you were a spectre, you're walking around with a squad in full armor with weapons you can't even USE (or my adept couldn't. "Oh, this spectre-issue sniper rifle? yeah, it's just to complete the set.")

and now, when the entire galaxy is in danger and there are indoctrinated peeps and cerberus plants and terrorists hiding with the refugees all over the citadel, i'm a spectre wandering around in my civvies without a gun. i mean, it's hard to disarm a biotic, so i'll run with it. but still.

Ahhh dont fret sage! :)  My fault for lurking around and you never said anything so dont worry.  Waking up in the morning and seeing these sorts of articles on my homepage filled me dread. Cant escape that! But it wasnt at all bad to me.

http://www.bbc.co.uk...nology-17458208

The game itself was brilliant though wasnt it!  Its easy to understand why people want the end to equal the exceptionally high example of the main game.  I think its a true testament to how good these games are that meeting everyones expectations will always be a challange.    Ray's Blog was very good at stating that and I think its the honest truth.

This is exactly why I'm upset. I don't think there was a single part of the game prior to the last five minutes that I didn't spend enamored with some aspect of the dialogue, the action, the animation, or the story. Mass Effect 3 is a good game. The missions are varied in their content and scope, the length of each right in that pocket of 'just long enough to not become tedious', the character interactions and development are fantastic, and the plot is of an appropriately epic proportion while still allowing the player vignettes of individual points of drama and struggle representative of the larger galactic conflict. There's action, adventure, romance, mad science, comedy, tragedy. It was good. It was great. It was so close to being perfect. And then in the eleventh hour it all unraveled.

Personally I just imagine that it all ends with Shepard and Anderson up on the Citadel; they beat the Illusive Man, activate the Crucible, fire zee missiles, and call it good.

Edit: sorry, I know that comment was like five pages ago, but I just now caught up.

Maybe old news to some but I was in Gamestop today and noticed they had ME3 copies with FemShep on the front cover. I totally didn't know they had those. My fiance was like "Oh no, did you not get the FemShep one? Please don't ask the clerk if you can swap covers!" Luckily I have the CE so she's on it. Now if I could just find a poster of the FemShep cover...

You can flip the covers, femShep is on the back.
