On the subject of the Plothole Planet...how do people feel about the specific scenario where Shepard's LI lives and is seen exiting the Normandy?
I think 'vomits blood' covers it pretty well. Its a cute idea, return to Eden. Until you start thinking about the horribly inbreed children. Or how in a handful generation they will all die out regardless. Or how returning to a state without technology and back to nature is a romantic idea until someone gets sick or hurt. But the main thing is that it freaking implies that your LI abandoned you on Earth!!!!
I understand they wanted to show you that your LI was still alive, but WTFBBQ. Hopefully, they will fix that. And give us an epilogue that isn't so stupid. If not I'm headcanoning the crap out the ending anyways.
It'd also imply that Joker chickened out and fled the battle over Earth since he was near the Charon relay long before Shepard made her decision on the Citadel.
What I'm guessing is the blast might have been simliar to a Mass Effect Relay and when it hit the Normandy gave it a super charge that shot it across to Plothole Planet. Still as stupid as Joker turning chicken. The only thing I can possible come up with is the squad sees Shepard get taken out, thinks that the beam is a hopeless cause, gets on the Normandy to try to fly up to the Citadel to board it that way but ends up running when they see the blast. Maybe? I don't know. Still makes no sense. The arms were closed meaning they had no way in, and even after it opened they would have realized that at least someone was end there helping.
Sigh... so glad they explained everything in detail so we wouldn't be left with plot hole, after plot hole, after plot hole, etc. oh wait.... <_<
@ADlegend,
I agree I was hoping that they would have more Biotic scene for Shepard. Simliar to what they did with Mage Hawke in DA2. When you killed someone in a cutscene Hawke would use a dagger, sword, or spell depending on class. But I have to say I was thrilled that people reconize Shepard as being a Biotic.
When talking to Kaidan in the hospital and he is speaking about how human biotics are treated like freaks by other humans and a lot end up being addicted to Red Sand and then says "Of course I don't have to tell you that," my jaw dropped. And again with Liara when she called Zody is a 'extremely talented Biotic," I squeed.
That is one thing I would have loved them to cover in the games more, the suspension and
prejudice humans have against human biotics. Its covered a bit in the Codex, that other humans see Biotics as proof that humans are being 'alien.' And that some religious and ideological organizations are against biotic modificaton.
