That Rannoch moment is really grim for me because I didn't know I could save both the geth and the quarians. I was literally choosing to save one of them and it was hard listening to Tali plead with Shepard. The situation with Wrex was different -- I felt he had my back the entire time and if I lost the salarans' support, OK, bye. Rannoch was picking between two friends, which was more emotional. I can't even imagine how hard it was for Talimancers.

Of course biotics have more fun! The ability to control things with your mind and you don't think to use that to your full advantage?! Pfffffffffffffft As if.

Also last night I got linked some really good reads about the ending. I highly suggesting reading them.

Finally was able to touch pen to paper after feeling like I would never again draw for Mass Effect. But its for a good cause. Thane Fanbook.

Rannok was rather interesting to me too..as Iwas totally gonna be all about the Quarians in that case...until I saw the geth's memories of what happens 300 years ago(their time)...this made me re-consider my options...not to mention which group would be more powerful/useful to the cause. I untilmately had the reputation points required(was maxed by that point) to keep/save both and end the war between them once and for all. Rannok was also awesome for all the weaponry there...Javelin S.R....geth pulse rifle(useless at that point though). and maybe the strongest pistol in the game...the arc pistol.

I doubt it was hard for some of tali's fans. alot fo them hate the Geth just like she does so I can see thousands of saves where Legions people are massacre'd for Tali which is horrible. and there are also people who hate Tali enough that their Shepard's would just let the Geth wipe out the quarians once and for all. I always have ehm both saved because I need he Migrant fleet and I need the Quarians to see that the Geth were never their enemy and that they were foolish in attacking them TWICE. They deserved everything that's happened to them and they need to see that it's not as bad as they say.

Oh I  talimanced on my Male Shepard... It was hard right until I say those blue and red  Dialogue options pop up. I first  pumped, jumped out my chair and choose peace... no need to choose one  over the others... on of the best moments in the game. It definately worth   the work of getting all the pieces in the place.   The moment the Delatross implied that I shoot  Mordin in the back of a 1400 year old grudge that would moot if the  Reapers won. I was done with her... I swear she is  indoctrinated right along with  TIM.

^ this exactly,  I will always save them both because it just a pointless war.   I usually avoid that discussions because  they're just people twisting the facts  just because they want too.  Hell the word Geth  means  Servent of the People in the Quarian language....

I know, right? Literally the only memorable thing about that movie - air sexytimes! But let's be fair: It could be worse; Kaidan could've been a sparkly space vampire :innocent:

...He does sparkle, biotic remember. OH MY GOD!!!

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!  Curse you and your diabolical observation skills!

But Kaidan thankfully never says 'Hold on tight, spider monkey.' Which has the be the BEST line of romantic dialog in a movie EVER. (yeah, me and sis-in-law went to those movies to laugh ourselves silly. we got a lot of dirty looks)

RE: tali/legion. i am curious about this sacrificial ending where you have to chose one or the other. i found it almost laughably simple to convince everyone to get along. i must have somehow stumbled along the golden path there. blew up heretics, punched admiral gerrol (with GREAT delight, i might add - that felt so good) and then one charm/intimidate check and we're all hugging and getting along with synthetics. it was kind of like space mary sue moment there. only, you know, brought about by renegade interrupts.

There's more to it than that...  The path starts back in ME 2,  You have  clear Tali name , then Resolve the arguement with  between here and  Legion.  Destory the Heretics.  Then you have to disable the Geth Fighter  Base, thats we're you see the truth behind the war and most important is to save Amdiral Koris - so he can tell the Civilian fleets to stand down.  Even with Full bar if you don't do that you fail the check I  do believe.

There are several things I could never let happen in ME3: Tali throwing herself over the cliff, shooting Mordin in the back, letting Miranda get killed because you didn't give her the Alliance intel, or killing Wrew and the VS. No just no no no no no no no.

I only found out about this stuff later and when those parts came up in my second play through I was deathly afraid that I would accidentally get them.

When I got to Rannoch I trusted Shepard to paragon the hell out of that conflict, being the silvertongued siren that she is. I didn't hesitate to back the Geth and get the Quarians to stand down. I wonder if that scene plays out differently if Tali is an exile instead of a Admiral.

@Sage,
I would have begun punching everything and everyone. I don't even...

I rewrote the heretics and still managed peace.  But everything else, yeah.  This was a long time in the making.

Was still expecting the rewriting to come back and bite me in the ass at some point...

The mission on Rannoch felt to me as if it would backfire at any moment after I told Legion to start his upload and then told him to carry on when the option presented itself.
It was good that the option was there to get the Migrant Fleet to stand the hell down, otherwise they would have caught a serious whippin' from the Geth, and Shepard needs both fleets.

EDIT: Not saying that the feeling of it backfiring was bad in any way, it seriously gave the mission a sense of urgency, and an intensity that I had not felt since Tuchanka.
Being friends with both Tali & Legion made it even harder. I mean, after all, Talia thinks of Tali as her little sister in a certain way (after all, of all the squadmates you acquire, Tali is among the ones you know the longest).

I think the lench pins are whether you  cleared Tali's name, Saved  Koris and stoped the Geth fighters, and resolved the argument between  Tali and Legion.

I remember going "YEAAAAAAHHHHH!!!" when I saw that destroying heretics was worth 2 points. Finally a renegade decision paid off! That's about it. It does look like the game rewards the paragon path 99% of the time. Well, except for Conrad Verner. Not having Conrad Verner in my ME3 game is a renegade reward unto itself, I don't care what people say. =p

@raziel -- I was relieved to see the renegade/paragon choices pop up halfway through the upload. Whew. The renegade response was perfect because I felt that the quarians were constantly a thorn in Shepard's side and whoever wrote that really got the vibe right.

@nite -- LOL, your description of fist pumping was funny.

@sage -- If you have not seen the videos of picking one side over the other, it's pretty grim. I remember the Kaidan thread fretting about a possible scenario of picking between Kaidan and the loyalty of a race and Tali ended up drawing that card. It's rough to watch both outcomes. I'm waiting to see what the DLC will be like first before deciding to play my pro-Cerberus gal, but in her game, Legion was sold to TIM and I did not get Tali's loyalty in her personal mission. Will be forced to choose in that game.

Whoa.

Like I said. Golden path. I seem to have stumbled onto it. so happy blowing up geth paid off. it was quite satisfying to see the base go boom. And here I was just playing Kyrie as her usual crazy paragrade self. :wizard:

I wish I could use texmod, but sadly my GFX card doesn't play well with it... which is weird because my previous one did very well and without much hiccups, and this one I have now is a lot more powerful.
