********SPOILERS ****************

Geth vs. Quarians
In order to achieve peace between the two races, you need to get 5 to 7 points. These points are based on your ME2 and ME3 decisions. If you have 4 points or below, you cannot achieve peace.

-Rewrote the Heretics (0 points)
-Destroyed the Heretics (+2 points)
-Tali is NOT exiled (+2 points)
-Tali has been exiled/You did not do the Loyalty Mission (0 points)
-Resolved Legion/Tali conflict either using the Paragon or Renegade options (+1 point)
-N7 Mission: Save the Admiral on Rannoch in ME3 (+1 point)
-N7 Mission: Destroy Geth Squadron on Rannoch in ME3 (+1 point)
-Completed Legion's Mission in ME3 (or no peace)

You will need a HIGH reputation for the peace talks. If you rewrote the heretics in ME2 BUT achieve peace, you will gain more war assets, but there'll be less quarians. Also, if you rewrote them, you will face more geth than people who destroyed them, in which they'll face less geth.

Like I said. Golden path. I seem to have stumbled onto it. so happy blowing up geth paid off. it was quite satisfying to see the base go boom. And here I was just playing Kyrie as her usual crazy paragrade self. 


@ red: yes. Punch ALL THE THINGS. shooting leaves more permanent damage. the pissed of biotic prefers to throw fists. actually, i think my shep's MO is 'diplomacy first. if that doesn't work, use the C4.' 

 

The most satisfying moments ...  Femshep punching Gerrel and him limping off like a dog with his tail between his legs and then Hale pretty much laying the verbal - "I'm the Queen B around here" on Xen... all so worth it.

There's more to it than that...  The path starts back in ME 2,  You have  clear Tali name , then Resolve the arguement with  between here and  Legion.  Destory the Heretics.  Then you have to disable the Geth Fighter  Base, thats we're you see the truth behind the war and most important is to save Amdiral Koris - so he can tell the Civilian fleets to stand down.  Even with Full bar if you don't do that you fail the check I  do believe.

I was 100% sure that not getting Tali's loyalty would come back to bite me in the ass. It was an RP decision, my Shepard showed the admirals the data incriminating Tali's dad. Tali didn't speak to me afterward and I didn't get to resolve any conflict between her and Legion. Yet it all worked out in the end... hm.

I hit a LOT more renegade interrupts in ME3. punching gerrel pretty much took the cake. i was like, 'oh, maybe i shouldn't have hit him...' but then i could not bring myself to reload and undo it. it just fit SO well. i was ragingly pissed off at him.

^ and moments like that make me love the story. i got so angry at some video game character i happily hauled off and punched him. even though, given the delicate nature of quarians and that shep took down a brute like vega with her cybernetic fists, that's not exactly a fair fight. kinda mean, really.

but he totally deserved it.

and yeah, i love that paragon actions sometimes bite you in the butt (hellooooo rachni! whoa, hey there balak. weren't you in jail? oh, right, it asploded.) and renegade sometimes turns out to be the 'right' thing.

Punching Gerrel was the best moment in the game by a huge margin until stabbing Kail-Leng. Oh god did i want to punch Gerrel after all the crap he do. I was thinking through the end of the Geth dreadnaught that some serious badassery had to happen after it and here Bioware delivered.

oh I was going to kill Balek but... had bigger fish to fry.   Like Shepard said  "I want  you to put a bullet in his head but we're all making sacrifices."

Punching Han Gerrel was actually a bit painful for me from a certain angle.
Hell, he absolutely deserved the punch, for the BS he was spouting, but I really liked him in ME2 which kind of left a sour taste in my mouth of having to put him into his place.

See, decisions like THAT were what I was expecting throughout the game. Like, all over the darn place. If you did this AND this and not that but did do that, THEN you get blah blah blah.

why you game companies 'innovate' on graphics and asplosions and blood spurts and you no push the envelope more on consquences to storytelling choices? i like blood spurts, i DO. i just also want them to MEAN something.

I like my carnage philosophical, please.

@TheMarshal: Alice looks really good with the freckles texture. Not that she didn't look good before. You know what I mean.

With regards to the quarian and geth conflict, Hrist got them both on side. It was a really satisfying end to that part of the story. It was really nice to see so many decisions from the previous game come together. I never really saw blowing up th geth heretics as a renegade action in ME2, but it was nice to see the 'red' option come out as a good call on Shepard's part.

As for Han Gerrel, I took the renegade interupt with Hrist, and, although it was very satisfying to see her slug him in the gut and order him off the Normandy, it didn't fit  with who she is. She's one to talk people down rather than resort to using her fists, so I reloaded and did it again without the interupt.

If there's one choice that i'm 110% happy with then it got to be when i finally got the chance to kill Balak. it wasn't as spetacular as i had hoped but hey Sarah got to kill him


Holding a gun at Shepard seems to have deadly outcome in most cases

After finally killing him Sarah of course go to the bar and celebrate


A must needed shot of Vakarian, because without Vakarian there's no Shepard
