Yes! The Hirst (Hirsh? I'm not sure) texture. Let's all toast to Ottemis! :D

As Ottemis said, it's Hrist. Don't worry though, it's not exactly the most common name. :)

Ah! Sorry for the confusion. She looks wonderful! How did you come up with her name?

Thank you. :)

The name comes from Norse Mythology. Hrist is the name of a valkyrie. It's also the name of one of the three valkyries from the tri-Ace series; Valkyrie Profile. I'm terrible at coming up with names for characters so when I stole the name Lenneth from the same series for my first Shepard, I did the same trick when it came to naming Hrist.

I wasn't sure about giving her that name to begin with, but now I can't imagine her having any other. It suits her perfectly.

Edit for ToP:

Ugh well, just found out the Hrist tpf didn't actually have the right texture packed in, it was the custom default texture instead of the only across the nose freckled complexion.
It's been sorted out now, very sorry for the inconvenience.
If you want the one from the Hrist ref image, you'll have to re-download it I'm afraid.

^ Heh, funny shot.

@crazyrah -- I was shocked to see Balak in my game because I was positive I had killed him back in ME1, but after reviewing my screenshots, turns out that I ended up turning him over to the Alliance. Thought that was going to be the last of him for sure.

@Kelleth -- she's a beaut!

edit: It's another one of those hairstyles that's really stunning on the right Shepard. I pooh poohed it on mine because it didn't fit mine, but it really amazes me when I see screenshots of Shepards with this hairstyle and they're just so glorious with it.

Trust me, it was not easy getting it to "work" properly... I spend 2 hours in the gibbed save editor to get rid of the clipping issues without making my femsheps brow looking deform =P

But thank you, I am happy with the result aswell, especially after spending so much time on it =)

Oh damn, had no idea that would happen! Suppose you can't trust the Alliance to keep on Batarian captive, or maybe they released him to make the Batarians less angry about losing their little system. I guess Sarah's view on Batarians work in this case. The only good Batarian is a dead Batarian

Me too, though I feel like mine is an import glitch.  I know I killed Balak with my Paragon canon because it was kind of a big deal for her character-wise.  She's almost entirely paragon, but also a Colonist, and she just could not let that crazy guy go.  It was also supposed to be a source of guilt for her, since she basically lost control and let her anger get the better of her.  But... then Balak came bopping over in ME3 still very much alive, so... not sure what happened.

Well, considering Earth kinda got all shot to heck and back, I'm imagining jailbreaks probably happened all over. That was the impression I got. Kind of flattered he came after Shepard straight away. Stupid move, though. Seems he didn't learn the lesson of the Commander Shepard Song.

Oh it did feel good didn't it?  It was even better because as soon as I walked out of the comm room I just KNEW Jessica was thinking about decking that guy.  I was so happy when the game allowed it.  "Get the hell off my ship" indeed!

Actually just about everything Jessica's reactions on Rannoch was perfect, from her angry disappointment with Legion's prevarication, who she had come to think was completely trustworthy, to her utter frustration with the quarians' blind campaign of vengeance.  "I am done saving your asses" was the perfect response at the end there, and I didn't find it too much of a Mary Sue moment since she had three other admirals on her side (she sacrificed the civilian crew to save Admiral Korris, which was actually a tough decision... Jessica HATES sacrificing people but ME3 forced her to do a lot of it).

Emotionally, Rannoch was easily the high point of the game, even with the sadness of Legion's sacrifice.

I actually tried killing him when he showed up at the Citadel this time. Hale's delivery is just ice-cold: "You're right...I should have killed you on that asteroid..." Which she says *after* shooting him in the face with his own gun. It's kinda funny how personalized it is. Because as a race, the Batarians are pretty much done for. They had no allies and not many of them made it out, so give it a generation or two before the species dies out. In terms of dealing with Balak, though, I think it's harder on him to convince him to aid the cause. Obey the humans or perish along with the whole race.

Oh is that a glitch?  It was a huge surprise when he accosted Jessica in the docking bays, because she'd chosen to shoot him multiple times and let him bleed out.  I figured he was tougher than your average batarian and he'd just managed to survive somehow.  She rectified that situation, since he was stupid enough to stand within arm's reach of her (it doesn't matter if you have a gun, if you place the muzzle physically against the body of your target, you've just disarmed yourself).  One of the few times where I didn't even think about using one of the Persuasion options, even though both were available.

See I agree to a point. Can I feel sympathy for some individuals? Sure (if we ever met a decent Batarian, that is - think the guy in the slums of Omega deserved to live). But as a society? No, it's built on slavery and oppression. The galaxy is better off without the Batarian Hegemony.

Without the Hegemony, yes. But keep in mind, that mindset is the same as saying it's a good idea to nuke all Russians because the world would be better off without the Soviet Union. The vast majority of those Cannibals you fight were just peasant batarians, struggling to make a living in an oppressive regime and hoping to keep their heads down so they wouldn't be noticed by the secret police. Even the most monolithic oppressive and dictatorial cultures are predominately made up of innocent civilians. You really don't think that a culture with built-in slavery would exempt its own people? No culture in Earth's history ever has, and batarians seem pretty close to baseline human, despite the four eyes. I'm quite certain that slavery is relegated to the batarian elites, and they have no problems enslaving those of their own people who aren't "worthy".

That said, Jessica has a hard time trusting any batarian, especially after fighting off a horde of them on Elysium. She saved the one in Omega, but only for information (Renegade points for saving someone, yes, thank you!), even though his accusations towards humans set her teeth on edge, and she did let the batarians who'd been holding David walk, because, well, she gave her word, and her word's more valuable.

I assume it's a glitch, since he didn't show up for my other Shepard who killed him: a random batarian showed up instead.  Glad to hear someone else had this happen and I'm not just crazy.  I'll just headcanon that he survived their first encounter, nbd.

Sadie let him live the second time, though.  Despite her history with batarians, the incident with the Alpha Relay sated her desire for batarian blood left her feeling a bit more sympathetic towards batarians than she would be normally.

Yeah, pretty much this.

Hegemony is horrible, and there was some sadly poetic justice in them reaping what they sowed. Umm... literally, Reaping.

I'm bad.
