@chignon

I really like the armor colors you use for Noah. I'm partial to blue.  ^_^

Still can't get myself to do another playthrough. At least MP is fun.

Top-o-the-page.  Dammit.  Have some ME2.

I haven't finished Octavia's game yet. I haven't played in days. I've actually been playing SWTOR this past week. I just needed to get away from all the ME3 drama. I'll get back into it at some point. Penny is still waiting in ME2, but I think I'm going to wait until the patch because if there is one character I'd love the face import to work on it's her.

I brought brownies. The only small comfort that I can give you is that they're working on something to add "clarity" to the endings and we'll know more in April. But yeah, I wanted to cry over the ending and was bummed for several days about it. (I still am bummed, but waiting on the DLC.)

Seconded. I hate to say it, but the more distance you get from it, I think it only becomes WORSE. You get to turn it over in your mind and go 'What the HELL?' from a whole new angle. That post Red linked summed it up well. And I found that one point at the end very interesting:

Notice how NONE of the Mass Effect writers have tried to defend the ending? Marketing has posted links to positive reviews, and the devs have promised closure, but no one really has explained the endings or tried to defend the vision there. When people criticized artistic choices in other games (LI options in DA2, Alistair being 'whiney', etc.) the writers - okay, well, David Gaider - jumped up and defended their choices. There is resounding silence from the Mass Effect writing camp. It's so profound that I almost think I hear something in that silence. And what I think I'm hearing is, "We had to cut it short." <_<

Ehhh.... :pinched: sage is rambling again.

In other news :wizard: I am trying to get this wad o' fanfic into something sembling a few opening chapters.

And hey, Jamie, any news on the fanfic/fanart contest?

Haha, nice. I'd actually use that armor but the textures on the chestpiece are so low-res that it bugs me too much to use. Sigh.

Oof, don't remind me. :pinched: The armor looks nice enough at a distance, but seeing it up close makes me sadface. Dat pixelation indeed. :(

It'd be nice for them to release a high-res pack. I won't keep my hopes up though lol.

Do we share a mind or something? I think this is a second character that could be a twin.  Fraternal, likely. She looks great.

If by 'acceptance' you mean I think 'It now has sunk in that an epic fail came out of BioWare and I'm really doubtful about future content from them' then, yeah. Someday that will sink in. If you mean that some day I'll think the ending is 'artistic' or makes sense to me on any level... Yeah, only if DLC redeems it.

Really redeems it. So we'll see.

Here, something for the lulz:

You know, as someone who used to lurk the forums and rarely participate (until recently; please excuse my femshep spamage. I probably seem a little bit overenthusiastic at times), I really enjoy this thread. I like the support shown here, the interesting and intelligent discussions and it's troll-free. And you guys have been really awesome and flaw-free.

Also, I still haven't mustered up the desire/willpower to play more than a few minutes of ME3. I got a xbox and a pc Collectors Edition and all they're doing is sitting there Collecting Dust.

This is me right now.

On the bright side, I'm really digging into a playthrough of skyrim.  Haven't touched that game i months and it's still awesome.

Even if there's no Femshep :crying:

What armour do you prefer for your Shepard?

Had to look up the names because they're not the same! In ME2, it was Kestrel armor because I loved how the chestpiece didn't mold itself around the boobs. It was flat in the front, but had ample room from side view to allow room for her chest. Turns out this armor set is called Rosenkov for ME3. (I like that ME3 allows us to turn "off" the glowing lights by selecting black.)

Posted Image

Didn't get all the pieces on my first run so I had to look at the other sets. I really liked the Ariake Tech armor for having a flat chestpiece and used it for my second game, but the graphic quality is just horrible. Look at the blockiness of the chest piece compared to the detail on the shoulder.

@ Ais:  I think you have a waaaaay better reason for that than me.

@ Grimm:  For me it's been a tricked out/modded run through Fallout 3 and Fallout NV.

Looks better already. I'm just ridiculously annoyed by how they said that the textures in ME3 would be high res. I didn't believe them, they said the same thing about ME2. Hell, the texture quality is even worse than in ME2. Which is frustrating since the textures themselves are much more realistic and detailed, but are wasted looking like blocky crap. BioWare...

YES, indeed. I was very happy with this. Artemis is an infiltrator. The last thing she needs is glowing bits of armor giving away her position.
