So much this. Actually I was doing some musing on that last night. We've known for awhile that StarChild's voice is the child actor, overlaid with Jennifer Hale's voice on the left audio channel and Mark Meer's voice on the right audio channel. These voices, added with a "ghost echo" effect then make up the voice of the Catalyst. However, I noticed something last night; Shepard's voice has the exact same "ghost effect" applied throughout that entire scene. So femShep's voice in that scene is literally a 1:1 tone copy of Jen Hale's part of StarChild. Just musings on my part, but it does seem like another + for the Indoctrination Theory, and it being all in Shepard's head.

I would play the hell out of ME3 if they release DLC content that fixes the plot hole crap. Well, if it doesn't make it worse, that is. IF the indoctrination theory turns out to be true or if that ending turns out to only be only half the story and we come to find out that everything isn't quiet so horrible then I will never stop playing ME3. And heralded Bioware as the supreme game masters. Until the mythological 'Give Us Some F***ing Closure' and 'Fix ME2 Romances' DLC is released its just too depressing to play.
At this point, yes, seems indoctrination theory was the plan, but it got botched. So I REALLY REALLY hope ending DLC is actually implementing this and moving on to actual battles. that way, those who liked the game can end there. those who did not can go on. not exactly win-win (they shot any true wins dead in the water) but at least things are cleared up.
if it's just 'ummm, you fanboys, here's some happy stuff," i'm going to be...
annoyed. severely.
i think the thing that pains me most is that when you do some sort of 'it was a dream' thing, you have to be careful. you have to then establish what IS reality and isn't, using the dream to further deepen the realm between real and not real. otherwise, you loose audience trust in the narrative, the world, the characters - everything. no one can be sure what's dream or real anymore. so you can't END with the dream moment. if you ended before the fight club reveal or when harry potter is at king's cross and just sTOP there, you couldn't really trust the ending or the world. you have to go back to the world and re-establish it. i mean, that's jsut basic storytelling. if they'd ended with a clear sense that you'd been indoctrinated and then ended it, rather than the hallucinator happy endings or whatever those were supposed to be, then it would be clear. everyone would clamor for the DLC, but we'd be like, oooh, cool and probably be annoyed it wasn't included with the game, but more willing to pay for it - at least i'm guessing so. but as it is, they wouldn't commit to anything - and in so doing, undermined everything.

My femshep just gave her life to save everyone
. I want to replay the last bit because I want the breathing shepard at the ending. I guess I need to play multiplayer right
I cried like a baby even though I already knew what was gonna happen.
No one?
Yes. goodbyes to squad kill me. it's kind of cruel, really, to make myself go through that.
